The room itself was clean and spacious. I appreciated having the shuttle pick us up from the airport and take us back.

The carpets in the hallways looked worn and tired.

LOVE the staff. They're top star. The manager was so accommodating and professional. His team were the best; friendly on arrival and throughout, super helpful, all of them. One of the best teams. Facilities on site were so helpful, I used the cafe daily and had a good choice. Team were awesome. My room was huge, super clean, plenty of towels for me, amenities, furniture was updated, bed was too comfortable, had cable, it was perfect. No complaints. I travel a lot for work and family and I was super impressed with this location. It's better than some 4-stars I've stayed in.

Not in walking distance of anything. This hotel (it's one of the top locations in the chain) is so great, but ideal for family short visits or perfect for Newark airport. Uber rides are quick and convenient, but you can't walk anywhere, so that was my only complaint. Nothing to do with the hotel or team.

The receptionist, Pat, was so lovely and really looked after us when we'd arrived after a long flight. I really appreciated him. The room was comfortable for the 4 of us and we slept well. We had an early flight out but getting the shuttle back to the airport was really easy as it runs every 1/2 hour throughout the night. Be aware, you then need together the airtrain to your terminal as there is only one shuttle stop.

The hotel was a bit further from the airport than I had thought. It took a 20.min shuttle to get the hotel. I was going to go back to the airport to get bus and train into New York but we got an Uber instead and actually that worked out cheaper (and so much easier!) It was about $60 each way by Uber.

After a weird experience with a VRBO, we had to quickly find somewhere else to stay. This hotel had availability and was close to where we were at. We arrived shortly after booking on the app and were able to get right into our room. After a long day of travel, it was nice to be in a comfortable room and know what exactly we were getting. The front desk staff was very pleasant during check in and check out and the associate at the little snack location was also very pleasant. Every staff member we came across in the hotel was very friendly. If we ever stay in Jersey again, I would have no hesitation in staying here.

The shuttle to and from the airport was efficient. The room was adequate for our needs and the bed was comfortable. Proximity to the EWR airport is a huge plus. There is a laundry room but I don’t remember seeing it advertised. They have single serve Keurig machines in the rooms so bring your favorite Kcups. They only have regular coffee pods. Ice machines are located on certain floors and you can go to the gym if you need to fill your reusable water bottle. There are no other water filling stations. Overall a very good value for money if you need a place to stay between flights. It is a quick Uber ride to Newark Penn Station if you want to take the Path train to Manhattan.

There is a closed gate at the entry to the car park which is the last turn before the entrance gates to the State Penitentiary. You have to take a ticket regardless of whether you plan to keep the car or return it to the rental company but you can exit thru the open gate. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance so you are limited to the offerings inside the hotel which are more expensive. You can order food for delivery and meet your driver in the lobby. Housekeeping starts at around 8:30 and they are LOUD. Perhaps more training is needed to recognize that not all guests want to be woken up like this if they have had a late night. We requested a late checkout and we were only given an extra half an hour. Boo!

This hotel had a great staff, was an amazing location and exceptionally budget friendly option for a NYC trip. It wasn't the cleanest, but it also wasn't even close to the worst.The bed was clean and there were no signs of bugs. I was horribly uncomfortable in the bed, but the rest of my family slept like babies. It was quiet, which I had prepared for the opposite. Didn't know it was next door to a correctional facility, but my kids got a kick out of it.

The provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash are garbage, bring your own. I'm pretty sure our shampoo was filled with conditioner, because it never lathered. Bathroom is also extremely small, not unmanageable but a major pain to navigate with more than 1 person in there, even if they're a small child.

First of all, the staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating. This was a really nice place to stay. The shuttle pick up and drop off was well timed and smooth. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Decor is modern and nice. There is a 24hr snackette/deli which was really cool. You could get a decent espresso and toasted panini at 3am if you wanted. They had a vending machine that had in more essentials that I usually see at hotel convenience shops. Very clever.

My only complaint is that there is no microwave in the room. There are 3....THREE!...lol, only 3 microwaves in the entire place and they were all being used, so we couldn't have one sent to our room. Thankfully, their very accommodating staff allowed us to use the staff microwave. We got in late to leave early, so the lounge was already closed but the snackette remained available. This means that if you're being economical and travelling with food, in order to get something hot and fresh, you're forced to make a purchase.

The room was large and immaculate. I needed grab bars in the bathroom and these were well installed where needed. There was a hand held shower and a tub seat. There shower was a walk-in with nothing to step over. The bathroom was large and a hair dryer was provided. I booked this room for an accessible bathroom and was not disappointed. I also needed a refrigerator, which was in the room. There was a very large TV screen and a coffee maker. The staff was friendly and efficient and even contacted me after I got in the room to see if evywas OK. Being so near the airport was a big plus and the room rates were very reasonable. An airport shuttle was provided.

There was very little I didn’t like. The tiles on the shower floor looked like they might be slippery when wet. Luckily I brought my own non-slip mats for inside and outside the shower. The staff was receptive to this point when I brought it to their attention. The only other thing was the placement of the hand-held shower on the wall at right angles to the bottles of soap which was slightly awkward to reach. I would have found it better to be on the same wall as the soap bottles, but this was a minor point compared to the many pluses

The shuttle was timely, the driver courteous and helpful with the luggage on boarding and on arrival. The checkin receptionist was extremely nice, personable, courteous informative efficient and quick to process the check in Could not be better Well done.

Unfortunately the shuttle bus must have been a temporary replacement and had no large signage for the Holiday Inn As it was freezing, most people were waiting inside the glass doors at P4 EWR Fortunately for me I asked the driver as I had gone outside and indeed it was the right shuttle bus (as the previous time I found out that there were two different Holiday Inn shuttles for two different Hotel locations coming to P4 EWR

Great shuttle service to the airport, and a restaurant to eat at the hotel so I did not have to go out. Big room, nice bed, clean bathroom, and helpful staff. It was a short stay but definitely worth it and I shall return if I am ever in need of a place to stay near the airport.

The air conditioning / heater was coming all every few minutes and was rather noisy, so I ended up having to turn it off all together. Don't know if the system was not doing what it should, as in keep the temperature within the range and was just coming on automatically, or that's just the way it's supposed to work. ROOM 631.
