Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The property was very good. But the city tour that the concierge recommend was like a scam. I paid 1,400 AED just for 4 hours city tour is very expensive. I expect it’s a guided tour but it’s not. He just drive us around the city like we rented a taxi.

Very good breakfast. Good facilities, variety of restaurants. Good location.

Carpets and cushions in rooms should be refreshed

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai during a work trip, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the professionalism of the staff stood out—they were courteous, attentive, and incredibly efficient, making check-in and every interaction smooth and pleasant. The service throughout my stay was impressively quick and consistent, whether it was housekeeping, room service, or any other request. As someone visiting for work, I truly appreciated how seamless everything felt, allowing me to focus on my meetings and commitments without any hassle. One of the highlights was definitely the food—especially breakfast. The spread was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options that catered to every preference. Whether I wanted something light or a hearty start to the day, it was all there, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Overall, the Shangri-La Dubai offers an elegant, comfortable, and highly professional experience. I would absolutely return, whether for business or leisure.

I was disappointed with the sauna and steam room area. It was overcrowded with non-hotel guests, as it seems people from outside are allowed to use the facilities. The jacuzzi was not clean, and it was unpleasant to see non-residents using the space every night. It was difficult to find a bed or any space to relax. It felt like the hotel was more focused on generating extra income by outsourcing these areas rather than maintaining a clean and exclusive environment for hotel guests.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room on the top floor and had amazing views of the Burj from our window. My wife was pregnant during our stay and they gave us a cute teddy and cake gift as we arrived. The hotel breakfast was perfect with great variety. The pool area was fine with a great view of the Burj. Drinks were mega expensive around the pool so we just grabbed some from a local shop and they were fine with that. They also showed football by the pool in the evenings which was cool. The hotel is a little bit ‘out of the way’ from tourist areas. The walk to the mall is lengthened because you have to get across the highway, say a 30 min walk roughly so not too bad. There are lots of basic restaurants outside of the hotel from local ones to places like Nandos. Just a note that we visited during Ramadan but our stay was not affected in any way.

Location was the only slight downside but you save so much compared to central hotels so can’t complain!!

Lovely clean hotel with fantastic views of the Burj Khalifa. Staff were so helpful nothing too much trouble. The property was next to a busy road but not noisy. Close to the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable with a coffee machine and tea making facilities. Beds were huge and firm but comfortable. We upgraded to the club room which was definitely worth it as there were canapés and snacks throughout the day and afternoon tea and happy hour. The staff at the horizon club were exceptional.

The electric switches were a bit confusing but we just tried them all to figure out which was which.

Staff are top quality, my family and I felt so well looked after and welcome. Nothing was ever too much as they all made such an effort to provide the best service we have had in any hotel. We shared laughter and smiles all round from the children to the grandparents. The gentleman at the door who greeted us at the car was lovely, so was the person who brought our bags up. We would find the lady near the door would always have a chat when we waited for our taxi, pleasant and provided us with some tips for our day trips. Our favourite team of all was the ones on 41st floor Soad, Janet, Keith, Rajiv, Saw, Karim, Jmaya, Aung, Kopilo and Kathy. Every time we came for breakfast, afternoon tea or happy hour they definitely made us happy. Soad even made us a card, put up balloons and decorated our table, which was such a sweet touch and made us feel very special. My parents in their 70s who have traveled a lot, have not stopped talking about how amazing, attentive and accommodating the staff were and that means a lot to me as i booked it to make sure everyone had a good time, which they all did and we will definitely come back again.

Infinity pool area, needs a little refreshing of paint and window cleaning. Staff on that floor could have been a little friendlier

This property was located downtown it had a free shuttle bus that ran to the Dubai mall daily pick up times a available, the staff were excellent and the facilities including the gym was very good, I especially enjoyed the horizon lounge on level 41 this was included in my room rate and it was exceptional, the staff we dealt with included , mellisa and Ines and also yassar and khodarahm they could not do enough for us honestly first class service they took the Tim to talk to us and the children everyday and made sure we were welcome amazing service really …. This hotel is extremely great value for money would highly recommend .

Nothing the stay was outstanding

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in the business district while attending a conference at a nearby hotel, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The staff were outstanding—attentive, friendly, and always engaging, making sure every need was met. The room was immaculate and welcoming, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment after long conference days. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed for both work and relaxation. The on-site restaurants were fantastic, with a great selection of dishes and a wonderful dining atmosphere. Overall, the Shangri-La exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay, especially for business travelers attending events in the area.

We’d love to share our delightful experience at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai. During our week-long trip to this vibrant city, we chose to stay at Shangri-La for one night with the goal of capturing stunning photos of Dubai’s mesmerizing nighttime skyline. Although the Sunset Terrace was unavailable due to a private event, administrator Olga stepped in with a creative solution that allowed us to enjoy the spectacular view. Her professionalism and quick problem-solving truly stood out and left a lasting impression on us. So impressed by the exceptional service and overall ambiance, we decided to cancel our reservation at another hotel and spend our final night back at Shangri-La. It was undoubtedly one of the best decisions of our trip! While a few minor issues arose during our stay, the team resolved them promptly and efficiently, demonstrating their commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience. From the luxurious accommodations and delectable breakfasts to the world-class facilities and attentive service, everything at Shangri-La exceeded our expectations. It’s easily one of the finest hotels we’ve had the pleasure of staying in. We look forward to returning and reliving the magic of our time there. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Dubai!
