Good sized room & shower-room, sufficient wardrobe space, equipped with hairdryer, ironing board & iron if needed. An elevator as well as staircase which was invaluable to my husband who has mobility issues. All staff courteous, friendly & helpful. Seating area outdoors which is quite a sun trap, plenty of car parking available. Although my husband hasn't got a motorised disability scooter & we havn't currently got a dog it was nice to see Amble Inn was scooter & dog friendly.

Food was tasty but was never piping hot, including self-serve cooked breakfasts which was disappointing. Yesterday evening (22nd April) my husband had roast pork dinner, the vegetables & gravy were luke warm & the Yorkshire pudding was so hard/tough, felt it had been left over from Easter Sunday! I had cod, chips with mushy peas, the chips & peas were luke warm, the cod was hot, to me the chips & peas had been plated well before the cod was cooked, again disappointing.

Great location to explore the area. Disabled friendly room, large & comfortable room. Bed was large & comfortable. Plenty of Tea & coffee with a couple of hot chocolates as well. Great place to stay with dogs, we had left ours at home on this visit, but would bring her with us in the future.

Bathroom, the shower was over a bath (it was lower than a normal bath) I suffer with MS I tried sitting at the end of the bath & with the help of my partner swung my legs over but as soon as I tried to stand up I fell, I was unable to get out, in the end my partner had to get in the bath behind me and lift me until I could stand on my own. We informed the staff the next day (I was too upset to address it the day that it happened), the staff apologised & asked if I was ok and they asked if I would stay again to which I said yes, they then advised that I call them directly & ask for a room with wet room & they would make sure I was in a more suitable room for my disability. I was more than happy with their responses & the way they addressed my concerns.

Liked the facility, environment, decor and staff worked incredibly hard during our stay. Rooms are spacious and all is in excellent condition. Big car park so plenty availability there. Like the biscuits with the tea/coffee tray in the room. Breakfast menu and options appeared good. Fresh orange machine appeared out of order but alternative was provided.

Long wait advised for food. Liked the warning and it was quicker than advised. Food was very tasty but was warm rather than hot. Not sufficient to spoil it or complain but having waited you'd anticipate it would then be hot as its been cooked to order. So wanted to mention. That said all were happy with their choices. My wife has a gluten intolerance and noted limited options on the menu here. There appeared to be only two staff front of house which did not feel sufficient when it was busy. So much so a lot of plates and glasses remained on tables long after eating and after folk had departed with focus then on preparing for the morning breakfast rather than clearing. Toaster is very slow and there was only one so creates a bit of a bottle neck.

This was our second visit, and we will definitely back. The room was lovely warm after coming in from a very icy day. The quality of the food was good and reasonably priced. The staff are always very nice, and ready to answer any questions asked.

We were just given one pass key, at one point we needed two because my partner had to go out. ( why were we given only one key?) The toaster was set too high therefore burnt bread. We did inform a member of staff and they corrected the settings. We stayed for 3 days but we only had tea/coffee/ milk for one day. Why?

We stayed here on our fourth night of doing the Northumberland 250 road trip. When we arrived we were given the option to have a different room as we didn't need a wet room, and as we had our dog with us, the room had an outside door which led to the back of the hotel so we could easily let him out no matter the time. The hotel was quiet with no noise from any of the other rooms heard at all. In the morning, the breakfast was absolutely lovely. It was buffet style with lots of options for cereal, toast, pastries, and cooked breakfast, along with freshly squeezed orange juice. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and they even provided blankets if the dogs wanted to get up on the furniture which we thought was a lovely touch. We couldn't fault this hotel in any way.

The hotel is bright & modern with good sized, well equipped bedrooms. It is a good base for exploring the Northumberland coast. We walked to Amble one day & enjoyed wandering the harbour & the quaint town centre. We also enjoyed a car trip through lovely countryside to Seahouses, just up the coast. At the hotel the bar/restaurant was a very convenient option after a day out, & has a good variety of food. Staff very frendly & helpful. The Green Card system where a free drink is offered at the bar if you don't want housekeeping service in your room was a very welcome idea Sunday carvery, and the fish & chips were both excellent.

The majority of meals on the Light Bites come with chips, which means they were quite substantial. I would prefer to have the meal at a lower price, with an option to add chips if wanted. It would also be nice to have a choice of different chips such as fries. The first 2 breakfasts of our stay, the cooked breakfast was available as ordered from a menu, which means you couldn't see what you were going to get. The 3rd day, breakfast was buffet style which was much better as you can choose exactly what looks nice, & what you want to put on your plate.

Unfortunately we were woken up at 3 o’clock in the morning by some contractors loading up their vans right outside our bedroom window (ground floor ) for about 20 minutes or more, they were talking & opening & closing the van doors , very inconsiderate !!! We asked the receptionist/ manager about it in the morning & he apologised profusely & said they were carrying out some work on the hotel unbeknown to the management !!! Obviously this spoilt for us what was actually a really peaceful location & I’m pretty sure was an unfortunate one off !

More than I expected, on reception at arrival, we were greeted in a very friendly professional manner, as we had brought our elderly pet springer spaniel along, I explained we would have to leave dog in room for 2 hours, chap behind reception informed us, that if dog started fretting, he would spend cpl of minutes with it...Great service....

Only stopped 2 nights, but found nothing at all to complain about...just a short walk from amble harbour..(approx 15 mins)..rooms at back of hotel ideal for customers with pets,as door open out to space for dog to stretch legs, and car can be parked right outside room if required ..ideal for disability issues...

Breakfast and evening meal was typical pub-style food. the inn is located on the west edge of town, so not so convenient. It is a modern, recently constructed building, clean and functional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and well appointed, good wifi, no air con but and effective portable fan provided. Big restaurant area and garden with outside seating. Very good car parking.

Rooms were spacious, enough to have two small armchairs rather than just one !
