The Queen’s Head is perfectly situated for a visit to Newbiggin by the Sea. Spacious bedroom with wardrobe and draws. Kettle for tea/coffee with lovely tasting biscuits. Comfortable bed, large bathroom with bath/shower. Great wi-fi throughout the building. Breakfast was ‘continental’ with cereals, toast, meat and cheese, jams, pastries, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Restaurant food was fantastic. My wife was looking forward to lobster, she was not disapointed. I had lamb which was sourced locally and very flavoursome. Sunday lunch excellent value which choice of meats and a big yorkshire pud! All round great place to stay to enjoy the historical area and coastal scenery.

The staff member who checked me in, Chloe, was very welcoming and showed me to my room. The room was big, well decorated with storage and a really comfortable bed. The ensuite was a good size with modern fittings and a large walk in shower with a big drenching shower. I ordered the Steak and ale pie for dinner, it came with mash and fresh vegetables, the pie had really good quality steak and the pastry lid melted in your mouth. The bar had a good selection and prices were reasonable. Breakfast in the morning was again, prepared to a very good standard and well priced. I will definitely be booking again when staying in the area.

Couldn't fault anything

Breakfast is a continental breakfast with a decent range of choices (except there is no marmalade but jams instead). Whilst it might not match a Holiday Inn for example you certainly won't go hungry. Breakfast is served in the bistro area of the pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was the biggest we had all holiday and it's quality toilet paper unlike Holiday Inn or Travelodge!!

You can sometimes hear a little noise from the bar but, unless the England football team are playing, its not intrusive. For a July holiday the room was a bit cold but the landlord did put the heating on.

The room was very comfortable and clean....shower was perfect....lock on the door was dodgy and needed replacing.....bed very comfy...room was too warm and needed a fan to cool down....also needs an intro pack regarding wifi password etc...floorboards need replacing in corridor....spoons needed on tea and coffee tray....however it was a very good overnight stay and we will be back...breakfast was continental but very good

The queens head was in a perfectwere location. The owner and staff were very friendly and obliging. The room was very clean and comfortable, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was big and water was hot and had full power head. We had 2 dogs with us, and the room was ample room for us all. The breakfast was ample and had a variety of things to choose from. We had a lovely time at this accommodation and would definitely return. Although this is a pub, we were not disturbed by the pub at all.

Stayed over for a weekend. Accomodation is located very close to the beach in a friendly little town. This is quite remote so best bet is probably using a bus if relying on public transport. The two ladies at the bar were very helpful and friendly and the room itself was fit for purpose. Given this is a pub, it is slightly noisy until closing time which is to be expected. Expect a continental breakfast which is self service and a dinner menu which is not too expensive. The cooked food was really enjoyable. Not an extravagant getaway by any means but would say this is overall good value for money and would recommend for a short term stay.

The staff were so welcoming and very quick to assist us when we realised we lost a wallet. Outstanding service, good value for the price, nice breakfast and a welcoming, cozy room.

Although it did not affect us much the carpet on the hallway was a bit dirty and the air ventilation was not so good in the room, however considering the price, the area and the people it is still worth booking.

Its in a great location just yards from the beach and local shops. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very good with a nice bed and shower. Bed was comfortable and plenty of storage available for clothing etc. It was nice and clean with a continental breakfast which was okay.

WiFi signal very poor, had to tether through my mobile.

Excellent location, dinner was good and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. The room was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Only complaint was the loose toilet seat. Bathroom was a good size with walk- in shower. Towels were of a good quality. Good selection of reas and coffee. Will stay there again when we are next in the area.

A large comfortable room with a new smart tv and a very recently renovated bathroom with a great shower. The pub has a good beer selection and the food was good. A small continental breakfast was provided in the morning which I wasn't expecting but was a nice way to start the day.

Being above a pub it was a little noisy but not too bad and didn't really effect my sleep.
