Standard breakfast. The girl doing the breakfast was lovely and friendly.

The chap behind the bar made you feel about as welcome as a wet fart. I would have put this down to him having a bad day but he was exactly the same the last time I stayed. Could do with a few very basic customer service skills. Like smiling, not chatting about regulars in front of customers and not being such a miserable sod.

The room was beautiful with a castle view, which was wonderful. It was warm and comfortable, modern and of a good quality. Everything was clean and well-kept. There were sockets for hairdryer, phone charger etc and everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The toiletries provided - liquid soap, shampoo, body wash - smelt divine. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave all the necessary information. Breakfast was wonderful - a treat to have porridge on the menu! It was a very pleasant stay.

The window blinds were a bit of a nuisance - the cord to raise them unreachable and I could not have shut them, as I would have been unable to open them again in the morning. It made it hard to open the window for air too.

Breakfast was fabulous. Our room was great for value. Nice cookies and tea and coffee in our room. Great staff. Very private. Just be sure to take your copy everywhere with you in case you need it. On how to get back into hotel if no one there, etc. We loved our stay and will be back. We still cannot believe the value for money. Parking right outside door, pub on the grounds with restaurant. View of the castle from our room. That was a real treat. We loved it. Wallking distance to town. Great walks right outside the door and beach close by. What more could you ask for?

We got locked out during the day and forgot our copy of what to do when locked out but it was fine.

The bed was comfortable, the room had all the facilities that I needed for a very brief stay. The breakfast was good and set me up for a long drive the following day. I didn't have the chance to visit the pub next door, but the evening meals and beer here have been enjoyed in the past. There are lots of scenic walks to be had locally, starting from the hotel.

I have no complaints. Perhaps the staff could have been a little more welcoming. The view from the back is not great, but Warkworth Castle is on the opposite side of the road at the front, to counterbalance this.

My wife and I brought my sister on a nostalgic trip, Our family have been staying here for around 100 years, It is 70 years since we had stayed there. We were pleased to find that not too many changes had been made. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good indeed , The evening meal in the dining room was adequate, the second night we ate in the bar and found there were more choices but overall the food was good. We all enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend the hotel, Warkworth and Northumberland as the place to visit.

Well, the weather could have been better. It would have been nice if when we were eating in the actual hotel we could have eaten from the bar menu as it all came from the same kitchen

Very nice, comfortable , the staff where very helpful and pleasant. I had forgotten my charger for the mobile I asked if they had a spare charger I could borrow, which the gentleman behind the desk sorted for me. Food very good and liked the atmosphere. I was there for a wedding and everything was beautiful. Would stay again, although not in the room allocated.

I was in room 11at the back of the hotel, on the top floor, view from window was not very good , roof mainly.and room was dark

Breakfast was very good. Served in a very nice room, and food freshly cooked. Staff and hotel worth another visit.

Only problem was the room was very cold, when we arrived, and the heating was on a timer to come on at 6pm. When another guest asked about it they advanced timer by an hour. Told the other guest that there were fan heaters in all the rooms( there wasn't one in our room) but once the heating came on there were no other issues.

The room was beautiful, exactly as depicted, and with a view of the castle. The walks are mostly on the flat, so easy going on my ageing limbs, breathtaking scenery. Food was outstanding and the staff very friendly and welcoming. A faultless stay for a very reasonable price. Thoroughly enjoyed my break here and I highly recommend this place.

After such a relaxing stay, I felt quite rushed to be checking out by 10am. Breakfast service could maybe start earlier to give guests a little time to enjoy the most important meal of the day, or checkout time could be extended by 30mins maybe. I personally felt exhausted all over again by the time I left, because of the morning rush. Not the way I wanted to start my Sunday. Overall though, still a lovely stay and I will be returning.

Excellent breakfast, thoroughly enjoyed it. Our second room was lovely and the lady at reception handled our issue regarding our initial room promptly, courteously and efficiently.

Our first room had an issue with the heating (radiator needed bled as we were at the top of the hotel). Reception dealt with the matter and changed our room to a much bigger, better and brighter room. Satisfaction all round, happy with the outcome.

It's a wonderful old hotel. I would describe the hotel as 'shabby chic' spliced with old school charm. There were many original features, including a lovely wrought iron balustrade. The beds were very comfortable, it was clean, and the breakfast very ample and well cooked. They were preparing for a wedding whilst we were there, and the staff had it looking lovely!

It's just a mention, but the outside of the conservatory (bit on the side of the hotel) could be cleaned up a little, and given a lick of paint.
