The breakfast was extremely good with lots of choice and the service was excellent. The dining room was spacious and well presented. The bedroom was also spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and with lots of attention to detail. The bathroom was clean, tidy and had all the necessary features. The location of the b&b couldn't be better. The town centre, amenities and places of interest were within walking distance. There were spaces to park the car directly outside the b&b on a quiet side street. Audre, Sara and Tom were excellent hosts and were very helpful with lots of local knowledge and a good supply of tourist leaflets. The house had lots of character and was obviously well loved by the owners. The garden was neat and well maintained. The sitting area was convenient, well presented with comfortable furniture and a supply of books were available if required.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Plenty of choice and good portions. The room was really comfortable and lots of lovely useful extras in the bathroom were provided. And an excellent shower. I had two of the best nights sleep I have had for ages! Also to mention, the surrounding area is very quiet so nothing to disturb us in the night. We were made to feel very welcome by Audrey and her family and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back to stay with them if they will have us!

We loved everything!

The owner and family were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was cooked beautifully and exactly as we ordered. The house and garden was like home from home and we were very well looked after. Complimentary mead was a real treat after a day sightseeing. The location allowed us to visit a number of places in Alnwick and to enjoy the local restaurants without having to get in the car.

A warm welcome in a quiet spot a short walk from Alnwick's centre (with its surprising number of good quality restaurants) and the castle. Good choice of freshly prepared food for breakfast in a room looking on to the attractive garden. We had a spacious, well furnished and quiet room. Several other guests were return visits, which speaks for itself.

The house and room were absolutely gorgeous, extremely clean, with a beautiful, relaxed feeling to the place. The host was so helpful, and positive, helping with locations to visit and recommendations to eat.

It's not about not liking something more that we never appreciated the need to book a table in the restaurants locally, so highly recommend doing this before you visit. Oh! Pillows, I really wish I'd taken my own pillow, as they were far too soft.

Beautiful house and furnishings. Quiet residential road. 2 min walk into town. Comfortable room. Everything you may need during your stay. Audrey is a wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble. Her son Tom cooks the most delicious breakfasts. Great choice. Alnwick is a great base to explore the beautiful coastal path. The bus station is a 5 min walk and offers a great service.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel which was conveniently situated in a quiet area but very close to the town centre.. The owner was very helpful and friendly and her son cooked the most delicious breakfasts. We had a very large, comfortable and well equipped room. We really appreciated all the extra thoughtful touches such as the provision of a fridge which all guests could use to store their own food and drink and complimentary sherry. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendations which were spot on.

Greycroft exceeded all my expectations. Audrey is an amazing host, all the extra touches they have make for a really comfortable stay. Nothing is too much trouble. The property is in a great location within walking distance of the town and attractions. Breakfast is fantastic, so much choice and always cooked to perfection. You aremade towel really welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this guest house. It is the best I have ever stayed in.

The breakfasts ( varied choices) were freshly cooked to order and plentiful Absolutely spotless throughout, comfy bed and powerful shower and plenty of storage space The owner Audrey gave a friendly greeting and was extremely cheerful and informative about the area The location was A1 with a five minute ( if that) stroll to the town centre with reserved car parking directly outside We would absolutely recommend Greycroft to anyone visiting Alnwick
