Overall, we really liked the hotel, especially as it is a resort offering a wide range of facilities and dining options. We had a great time at the funhouse and swimming pool, and thoroughly enjoyed the entertaining shows in the Cairngorm Suite, as well as the fireworks. There was plenty to keep us entertained throughout our stay.

We were somewhat disappointed with the room. While the bathroom had been recently renovated, the drainage in both the sink and shower was clogged, resulting in very slow water flow. Upon our arrival, we also noticed that the carpet was covered in ashes and crumbs, I had to borrow a hoover from the reception to tidy up the floor. Other than these issues, we were happy with our stay.

Nice hotel great locations

The beds need attention I asked for toppers on all our beds and only the double had one I think this should be standard in a 4* hotel. Would make such a difference, rooms could do with a wee upgrade hasn’t changed since I was a kid.

Lovely hotel, facilities and surroundings.

Everything was lovely but a couple of small things were being vegan and gluten free the healthy food options were limited. The pillows were very large and a bit uncomfortable

April 2025

April 2025 Week before Easter weekend. Great location as we had our bikes with us. Stayed in bunk bed family room with connecting rooms. Activities at the hotel a bit hit or miss for timings. Tuesday… pool opens at 8am, closes at 10.30am (so during breakfast and full tummies), didn’t reopen until 2.30pm! Football pitch closes at 7pm? Even though 3 families all at arrived with footballs. Fun factory £6 per child , £1 for adults … Rooms absolutely boiling hot! Had to leave window open all day, then close at night due to noise of boiler room vents(?) Radiators weren’t even on.

Everything about the hotel was great but the staff were Outstanding .I hope u will pass on my thanks and appreciation to them .I'll ask them on my next visit if u did

It would be very helpfull if labels were on cereal boxes ,silver hot food containers and other foods in restaurant .Simple to do ,makes food choices easier and quicker for customers and cuts down on food waste Also the bins ootside the back door need emptied more often ,Often overflowing . Hooks on the walls of bathrooms beside shower would be helpful for hanging clothes and towel .only a small surface in bathroom which isnt big enough and a long reach from the shower . Small changes can make a big difference and shows that u are listening to customers ,Thanks

The lounge area was really good, nice and very comfortable. A very beautiful sight. The food was very good throughout our stay. The children really enjoyed the Funhouse and all the children activities. The disco was really fun. The swimming pool area is very nice too. The experience of the last day from inverdurie restaurant was really amazing. The waiters and waitresses were amazing. Lovely place, we built an amazing family time at the facility. A very good experience.

The reception male toilet had an unpleasant sight on few occasions. Felt ignored by one of the male waiters at the Foyer bar on our first day. Felt most items were overpriced. Also, felt refrigerators in the family rooms could be really useful.

The hotel was nice and clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. The beds were very comfortable. There were toiletries, a hairdryer, an iron, and an ironing board in the closet in the room. Lots of activities for kids, including a swimming pool, playground, soft play, and games room. The breakfast buffet was delicious (large selection and very tasty). The entire property is very well-kept with many places for rest and recreation. The location was very good.

The only thing missing is air conditioning in the rooms.

Our recent stay was truly fantastic, offering everything a family could wish for and more. The location was absolutely ideal, putting us right where we wanted to be for exploring. Our room was incredibly comfortable and cozy, providing a lovely retreat after busy days. What really stood out were the outstanding facilities for families. There was so much to keep everyone entertained, making our trip stress-free and enjoyable. And the food? Simply exceptional! Every meal was a delight, with a fantastic variety of delicious options.

The only minor downside, especially given the recent heatwave, was the lack of easily accessible drinking water facilities. It would have been much appreciated to have more options for staying hydrated around the hotel, particularly during such hot weather. Despite this small point, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families looking for a top-notch experience with amazing food and amenities.

I arrived with my family - wife and two children. The staff from the outset were incredibly polite and friendly. Warm and very natural, and great with the kids, they offered top service from start to finish. We were unaware the children would have access to their own bedroom which they were delighted with. (Bunk beds are a big thing for children. Add a TV and they're ecstatic) I had mentioned it was my wives birthday. She was delighted to find a lovely birthday card on the bed and two vouchers for a free drink - it was a thoughtful and kind gift we deeply appreciated. The room was slightly dated yes. But in a very homely fashion and was extremely comfortable as well as warm. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the wee entrance hallway offered a lot of space for baggage to keep the rooms free. We did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on the food quality. We did use the swimming pool which was perfect for the wee ones and also nice enough for us to relax in. Even when it got busy it was still spacious enough to not be bothering others. The staff again were fantastic and really warm and friendly. We did use the play centre opposite which the kids loved. The prices were a little more than we would usually expect, however the soft play is huge and the kids were delighted. To quibble over a slight extra on a get away would be wrong. There are mechanical dinosaurs that are reactive and offer good entertainment (Kids jumping in surprise!) The park towards the rear of the hotel is very well maintained and offers a lot of entertainment for the kids. It's large enough again that you don't need to queue for a certain item long. We didn't go to the wood shack but from what we could see there appeared to be lots of activities to do there from trampolines to wire courses. Overall it was amazing. We have already decided to rebook again as we absolutely loved it.

Nothing.

The resort itself is very spacious. This is good as we had our 4 month old puppy. It was good for socialising him. We liked that the woodshed was child free from 8pm. The BBQ food was good. We do not have kids and therefore things like this appeal to us. We liked that it wasn’t too far from Aviemore for main shops / amenities. Seemed to have a lot to do for kids. We walked to the Old Bridge Inn one evening. Can also recommend this for food.

We were in the annex (courtyard rooms) and we had quite a bit of noise passing our window at nights. We didn’t expect this as this was the back of the building. Our shower flooded. We reported this to reception and it was fixed while we were out. The room smelt a lot like damp everytime so I’m guessing it may have been a common problem.
