I loved everything about this 18th Century Hotel. It's beautiful., Top floor has been totally refurbed, Jacuzzi, 32''TV, and enough space to swing a horse. Shops, and takeaways on the doorstep. All the staff worked their feet off the floor on one of the busiest nights of the year, and even the cleaner was very polite on our way out. 5 Stars from me.

I'm not sure, The bar was very reasonably priced, and the draft beer was good. Maybe just the smell of damp carpet in the Concert Room and the Cigar Lounge due to it being shut down for so long during this Covid crisis. Smell quickly goes when you start looking at the art work from times gone by.

Brillant location right next to everything (beach, town ect), Seen a few other reviews about it being outdated but if you dont like period buildings then dont go simple, being a period building has some lovely original features. Staff were very friendly and helpful, at check in asked if the room was a smoking room was told it wasnt just asked if we could be swapped to a smoking room and was given one so they were very accomadating. Had buffet breakfast included which hit just the spot in the morning aswell as on site bar

The room wasn't modern, pretty basic but was comfortable, staff were friendly, breakfast was self service and was lovely, you had cereal, yogurt, toast, tea or coffee, juice and the full English, only let down was there weren't any mushrooms but can't really complain it was delicious. I would stay here again.

There was no room to park, we had to park on a 24 hour pay and display which cost £13 rather than £5 that the hotel was charging, although it is stated that there were 100 parking spaces and 6 disabled parking spaces, there were none available, and the cars were parked so close it is a wonder anyone could get in or out, including the disabled.

I love that building, not up kept by Brittania, who are famous for that, it’s great when it goes well there, but lots were complaining, I like the space, and if you get a decent room which we did, it’s lovely. We got a room for 3 with a sea view, that we didn’t ask or pay for, last minute email from booking.com. The beds and bathroom and towels were very clean.

Brittania cuts corners, there is the usual dust, the windows you can hardly see through, the toasters were condemned, the smokers crowded around the entrance, car park had too many cars on it, all parked down the centre, pillows were solid, it didn’t spoil anything for us.

I always love the location of this property, right on the beach and within easy walking distance of everything we need, plus it’s own car park out of the way of everyone.

the only negatives are the bed. I’ve stayed here a number of times and not had a problem but this time the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable I felt like I was sleeping on the floor and it made it worse that there was only 2 flat pillows in total which made sleeping more uncomfortable.

The cleaning lady was excellent, every day she asked us was everything alright 👍 and did we need anything for the room, very nice lady.

Bit noisy on Saturday six o'clock in the morning with the lads pulling trolley's up and down the stairs and shouting to each other

The food was good in the restaurant for breakfast & dinner

I didn't like not having access to all the rooms to cater with people who has mobility scooter who couldn't get to the rooms cause of steps to it, when you going to the lifts they doors didn't stay open long enough to get in it.
