Fabulous place to stay, in a beautiful location about 10-15 minutes from the Railway Station. Situated in a very quiet Residential street. My room was very spacious with plenty of storage places for your clothes etc. It was very light and airy there were 3 windows in my room giving front and rear views even a sofa to sit on. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable with lovely crisp white bed linen, the bathroom was also very clean . Even though this is an Inn it was super quiet at night no rowdy behaviour. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choices, there was also meals available in the evening which were also lovely. The host was very friendly and helpful too and always greeted everyone every day at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely will be returning.

Very friendly landlord and staff, very clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. Has a somewhat quaint old-fashioned British charm which we loved (we are Brits). Very conveniently placed for our visits to Richmond Park and Kew Gardens. Some of the other guests were obviously 'regulars' who frequently stay here. Very happy to recommend.

Car parking was not a problem for our one-night visit as we managed to squeeze into the small yard at the rear of the property, but most of the on-street parking nearby is by permit for the local residents and I didn't see a huge number of payable parking bays, although parking is free from 18.30 to 08.30. The landlord would advise anyone staying with a car where best to park.

Great location, 10 minutes walk from train station and town centre. The Dukes Head is a traditional pub, with lots of outside seating including a lovely courtyard area at the back and seating at the front. The breakfast was great, full English fresh and tasty and vegetarian equivalent available. Coffee very good. We had twin room no. 26, at the top, note there are a couple of flights of stairs, no lift. Room was bright, clean and comfortable with everything needed for a comfortable stay. TV, chairs, kettle etc. En suite was clean and functional with plenty of hot water and toiletries. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for my needs. The price was excellent (including breakfast) and included parking which, let’s face it, is gold dust in London. The owner and staff were kind and friendly and, although the accommodation is above a pub, it was quiet and there was very little traffic noise outside.

I need a good bed with a decent mattress - and this was not the most comfortable. But that’s me and my back - maybe it would be fine for someone else.

This Hotel is excellent!! The owner, son and staff are very accommodating, helpful. Breakfast excellent, coffee great, English breakfast my favorite, cereals, yoghurt, plenty of bread/butter/jam, eggs good, juices, etc. Location is superb, 5 min walk to train and bus stations, from there you can get everywhere, airport, other cities, central London, etc. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, nice houses, small bldg. The hotel has a beautiful Pub Heritage, great beer, its a jewel well preserved, built 1868. Nice beds, comfortable, bathroom well distributed, nice shower. Walking distance from beautiful River Thames and all its charms. Will enthusiastically stay again!

We liked everything.

Location worked well with some walking. Breakfast, and the evening meal we had, were both excellent, room was big and airy. Getting to park off-road for our whole day in London was very helpful. Having run such a pub ourselves at home, we enjoyed our stay a lot.

Well it is under the Heathrow flight path, and parking was an issue of course. The big parking building at the bottom of the road works well but is very expensive. No complaints at all.

The hotel is on a quiet street in an excellent neighborhood in southwest London. This is a modest establishment, but it is very charming and welcoming and is an unusual offering--a room in a bed and breakfast above a very nice old-fashioned London pub. The breakfast room was very cozy and the food was good and generous. The server was very nice and attentive. The room was clean with nice large window overlooking the quiet street. The room rate was very reasonable for what you get.

Nothing I didn't like. The main thing to consider is that it is not in central London. However, Richmond is a wonderful place to situate yourself for a trip to London, and the Richmond Brit Rail station is just a few blocks away, with frequent, fast service into central Londen (perhaps 25 minutes to Waterloo station).

Second time staying here and this room (Room 2) was great! Large, quiet, lovely and warm, beautifully appointed bathroom with complimentary toiletries. TV, free WIFI, tea/ coffee facilities. Breakfast is excellent and despite the menu showing full cooked options only, you can pretty much order anything cooked in any combination! There are also a full range of juices, yoghurts, cereals on offer. Parking available on a 1st come, 1st serve basis and 10 mins walk to Richmond Station. Very friendly staff.

Nothing, great place to stay

My room was elegantly simple , and SPOTLESSLY, gleaming clean !! And , very quiet ( despite being above a pub). The room rate included a generous, hearty breakfast ( which I thoroughly enjoyed) and the pub was located in a residential street, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Richmond . I had previously lived in Richmond for over 15 years, so coming back to Richmond - brought back a flood of fond memories …My only caveat is that the stairs to the room are quite steep, so would probably not be suitable for guests with mobility issues .

The owners and staff were very friendly, and the pub is nicely laid out and clean with nice outdoor seating areas and car park for overnight guests. The room was spacious and comfortable. They served a good breakfast, and the location is great -- close to the action, but in a quiet neighborhood.

We are spoiled -- the room didn't have air conditioning, and although they supplied a fan, it was very stuffy as the temperatures were in 80s F.
