Wonderful location, with excellent facilities and a fantastic host. The room was immaculate and had everything. Fully stocked tea/coffee, complimentary biscuits etc. The bed was very comfortable and (like everything else), immaculately presented. Bathroom was spotless and modern, with an excellent shower. Our room had a lovely outdoor space too, which was equally nice. Continental breakfast was superb and has everything you could want. Cereal options, bread/toast likewise, a selection of cheeses, ham, boiled eggs, yoghurt etc. The communal lounge is lovely, with a pool table, books, large TV and access to the lakeside, which was equally lovely and relaxing. Clive (your host) is welcoming, friendly, informative and he really cares that you enjoy your stay with him. Parking was easy and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. The beautiful Old Hunstanton beach is a 5 minute walk away, as local pubs and eateries. Lakeside is one be of those rare places that ends up being everything you hoped it would. This is one stay that you will want to return to.

Everything was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and well appointed. We were greeted by the host, who made us welcome and gave a guided tour of the property. Nothing was too much trouble. My friend enjoys a crusty roll, brie and cucumber for her breakfast. Clive went out of his way to purchase these items. The breakfast generally was superb. A wide choice of pastries, bread and my especial favourite, fruit and fruit salad . The coffee was freshly brewed and delicious.

In all honesty there was nothing about this b and b which could be faulted.

The family room is fabulous with a wonderful view over the lake. We received a very warm welcome and the children appreciated this too. We enjoyed playing pool and feeding the ducks. Lovely continental breakfast. Great location for Old Hunstanton beach. A thoroughly relaxing break and possibly the best b and b we have stayed in. So glad we booked two nights. We can't wait to return.

The second single bed in the family room is a fold out bed and was not comfortable for either of our children (over 6 years). In retrospect, we should have checked this before booking. Access to recycling bins would be helpful.

I booked this for a mini break for my friend and I. We booked the family room, knowing it had separate sleeping options. The room was lovely! It overlooked the lakeside where there was a variety of water fowl. So for someone like myself, who loves birding and photography, this was a dream, especially with the sitting area, looking out over them all. We had the nicest time. We walked to the Old Hunstanton beach via the golf course after checking in (so very close!), and had some food at the local pub. The following day we ventured out to Blakeney, Holkham and Wells next the Sea in the hopes of seeing the Seals, ending with a stop at the local hotel, The Lodge, for dinner. We walked back from dinner both evenings, and on a clear night, the sky was absolutely incredible, filled with stars. So for any keen astronomers, or romantics who loved to sit and watch the stars, you'd love it. From a previous visit to the Old Hunstanton Beach - there's also great birdlife for any birders out there. Clive was a great host, very friendly, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. I really hope to visit again soon!

What a wonderful B&B was welcomed by Georgie on arrival who was very friendly and informative and showed us to our lovely room the room was beautifully clean and comfortable and the view from our room was stunning overlooking the lake. Breakfast was continental and had so much choice and all the produce was lovely and fresh. Clive the owner always made sure we had enough freshly brewed tea and coffee. The property also offers a wonderful lounge area and decking overlooking the lake. It’s the best B&B we have ever stayed in and there is absolutely nothing negative about this accommodation. From the moment we arrived at Lakeside we was instantly welcomed with a smile and chat! The room we stayed in (room 1) was stunning, very clean, comfortable bed, very spacious, bathroom was very clean, shower was lovely in the morning before breakfast. Breakfast was amazing, a range of different choices, beautiful view from the dining area. Pool table was a Nice touch so we wouldn't be in the room the whole time. We was made to feel very welcome every second we was there. Would deffinatly visit again!!

The breakfast choice was exceptional. A good selection of cereals, pastries, breads, juices, cheeses, fresh fruits, teas, etc. The room was well spaced, beautifully presented and had a welcoming free. Lakeside is really well situated in a quiet corner on the edge of Old Hunstanton. As the name suggests - there was a clean well kept lake with many varieties of ducks. We would definitely recommend Lakeside to anyone - it's just perfect.

Loved everything.

Clive was an amazing host, informed us of places to visit, where to eat. Lakeside was so relaxing and as a group of mates we watched the election debate in the comfortable lounge overlooking the lake. The bar fridge in the lounge enabled us to keep a couple of drinks cool and Clive helped us with other plates etc to make it a fabulous evening. Breakfast is suburb, just what you need before venturing out, we booked Sandringham House, highly recommended. The rooms were very comfortable, and special mention must be made for the extensive array of teas and coffee, not to neglect the sweetie jar in the entrance hall that was raided by us all. Excellent welcome & helpful advice by host. Very clean comfortable room. Continental Breakfast is offered at this property and is laid out nicely for any potential guest to enjoy & perfectly adequate. Lovely shower in room and a very nice guest lounge also. The lake at this property is beautiful and guests can sit and enjoy watching the ducks. We will definitely return Clive. Thank you for a very nice stay. Richard & Gail

Nothing for any guest to complain about

Tucked away in Old Hunstanton near the golf course is this gorgeous B&B. From the photos I thought I was booking a much larger property but couldn't have been happier. Beautifully presented accommodation in a stunning garden which mainly consisted of a beautiful lake. We were greeted and shown round by Eve, who was incredibly pleasant and helpful. There is a communal lounge with pool table and fridge for you your drinks. This opens onto decking which runs along the stunning lake. We had two rooms including the ground floor one which had its own secluded small garden. Both rooms were bright, clean and spacious with a very comfy bed and good shower. Serve yourself continental breakfast was plentiful with a good selection which was continually replenished and delicious. Unfortunately only stayed one night but would love to return.

Its not really a fault/or didn't like, but possibly better signage as we drove right by into the golf club, but I was looking for a much larger property.
