Wonderful location and setting with good parking set the tone for our stay at the R&C. Nothing appears too much for the staff to make your stay as memorable as possible. Our room was "cosy" but not small with an extremely good sized bathroom/wc. A range of toiletries was replenished daily as was the tea/coffee tray, which also included cafetiere + coffee. The bed was very comfortable and ideal after a good walk in the area. Both the bar and restaurant areas were well managed and all the staff throughout the hotel were a credit to the hotel. Breakfast had a varied choice, both hot and cold, and was well presented. The evening menu, which could be taken in the restaurant and bar areas has a good range of choices, so no wonder the R&C continues to win awards. It is "Everything you'd expect ............... and more ........" as it states on its website.
Leaving!

The rooms are very nicely decorated and the food is exceptional. Very clean and staff very accommodating and professional. We enjoyed a lovely meal and breakfast. We stayed as we were taking part in an event at Sandringham Estate which is a short drive from this location. Thank you Rose and Crown for a lovely stay.
We didnt dislike anything at all. It was a hot day when we stayed and the room was very hot we had two little fans either side of bed but they were noisy and didn't made little difference to the temperature of the room. The mirror in the room we stayed is tucked in the corner with a telly on wall. A full length mirror would of been helpful. But we had a lovely stay and it wouldn't put us off from returning and my comment should not put you off from booking as we will rebook to return when next visiting. Thank you Rose and Crown.

Simply fantastic! This pub is a lot of things but happily does each of them perfectly and not at the expense of the other - as is often the case. The Rose and Crown manages to be a traditional village pub, supporting the local community with 6 well kept local ales; as well as an excellent fine dining restaurant with high quality food at good prices; as well as a hotel with excellent rooms and fantastic breakfast; as well as a tea room with coffee and cakes and also serves some great cocktails! All the staff were lovely and efficient. It was incredibly busy all weekend and not once did any of them seem flustered. A credit to everyone involved. We would definitely stay again (and very dog friendly too!). The perfect base for exploring the beautiful local area.
Nothing!

Lovely quirky property! Very clean and comfortable. We both enjoyed the breakfast, but the evening meal was disappointing. Due to the bank holiday there was a limited choice for evening meal! We were expecting the Sunday roast, but they had run of out of certain items, and we noticed it wasn’t just us that were disappointed! Some customers decided not to eat there at all. We appreciated a bank holiday is a busy time, but feel that this should have been anticipated better. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and very clean! All the staff are wonderful, and very friendly and kind! We would definitely go back in the future.
Better quality items on the evening menu! We unfortunately parked up under trees as spaces were limited due to the busy period! This meant our car, which we had just paid to have cleaned, got covered in petals and sap from the trees!

Visiting relatives in the village so the R&C was extremely convenient. Check in was very good & receptionist showed us to our room. Just in case we didn't like long life milk she went off to the kitchen with a small jug of fresh milk. Our room was" cosy" with double bed, fresh white towels, clean bathroom with complimentary shampoo, shower gel etc. The building is much larger than it seems from the frontage but public areas were seemingly well maintained. The building is quirky with lots of bar areas and a separate residents lounge which was nice in a busy pub setting. No noise in the room from the public areas. We ate in the restaurant where the food was excellent and not excessively priced. The overarching feature of the R&C is without doubt the staff who are beyond "pleasant" and are extremely helpful from check in to check out. We will definitely return again when we revisit Snettisham.
Booking late, the room was quite small with a double bed. Preference would be for a slightly larger room with twin beds. As a last minute thing the choice was not available so lesson learned to book earlier ! The room didn't have air conditioning but a bedside fan was in the wardrobe. Very small gripe was that the catch on the bathroom door needs maintenance

Lovely bar area with log fire, friendly, helpful staff, clean well equipped freshly decorated room, really comfortable bed, great a La carte breakfast with tables allocated with individual names of rooms, ample parking at the back. Would 100% return.
Nothing. Just one small point (not a criticism) - we had the Crows Nest room. In the corner of the room where there’s a little table ledge - this is a handy area for doing your hair as there’s a power point for hairdryer/hair straighteners. There’s a double socket there so it would have been great to have a little lamp in the corner to see what you’re doing. Simple and cheap to fix!

Breakfast was a choice of continental & full english + a menu variety ..buffet style but order for hot breakfast with waitress service ..all served in a delightful restaurant ...come garden room Evening meal consisted of a full range of choices from an extensive menu and slightly overpriced not kind on your wallet! With drinks this can be a very expensive dining experience ...the pub has a large outdoor beer garden with children's play area..with bar and food ...large car park with disabled parking. Would I visit if in the area probably yes

Staff were quite superb, food was 'cracking', atmosphere was 'classic British Pub' - well done all. On a cold winters day the log fires, all well tended, simply brought it all together.
I love dogs BUT NOT IN THE DINING ROOM. I realise not easy for a 'Mine Host' to say no today and there was no 'doggy smell' anywhere BUT when guests fed their doge at the table?? The staff were great, quickly moved us away but on this occasion there were 2 dogs in the Dining Room - not easy for the Waiting Team to manage. It did not spoil our few days but made us more cautious.

We loved the comfy clean rooms, bars, restaurant and the staff were all very attentive. The residents lounge was a great addition. One outstanding member of staff was Eve although every member of staff were great. The pub is in a great location for lovely coastal walks and is very dog friendly.
Although the food was great, on one evening (Wed 27.11) we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Some meals came out cold, some with components missing and some meals not quite as described in the menu. However Eve did her utmost to put things right and her service was impeccable. Dinner on the other evening as well as both breakfasts were lovely.

A very warm welcome in this old fashioned traditional pub. Cosy bars and log fires aplenty. Staff are very friendly and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. The food offering is excellent. Many choices at breakfast and all very appetising. We ate in the restaurant 3 evenings and the food was very tasty and well presented. We upgraded to a comfort room and were well pleased. A large room with equally large comfy bed. The bathroom was also huge. All in all a very pleasant stay and we hope to return.
Maybe the restaurant could do with a separate area for guests with dogs.
