Food was superb, staff were very polite and pleasant, and couldn't do enough for us. Facilities were great especially the outside areas, where drinks and food could be ordered.

Didn't expect to be told that the only time available for our evening meal was at 6 o'clock each evening, which was to early for us, especially if we were out all day.. I attempted to change the time, but was told that there was no other times as the restaurant was full with non resident diners. Surely residents should have at least some form of choosing their dining time preference. I did have a courtesy phone call the day before our stay, and was told our dining time was 6pm, and I asked then for later times, and was told that this would be adjusted to 7.30 as requested, but this sadly didn't happen.

Excellent food, and menu, great pub, easy parking and fabulous location. The room had all the things you need, nice bed, TV, fab shower/room, towels, tea coffee making station, etc. Attentive and helpful staff in the restaurant and bar.

The room had an unloved appearance to it, the carpet had not been hoovered thoroughly, the window blind was ingrained with exhaust fumes from the car park, and looked grey with a black sooty line along its leading edge. And no, it wasn't dust, I tried a damp cloth on it, and it wasn't coming off. It started out white, I'm sure. The fittings inside the shower were limescaled and had not been cleaned for some time, making the stainless steel appear dull and tarnished. A handle was broken to one of the windows, not that we needed to use it but if nobody has taken care of the room where you've paid to sleep, then why should they care about you, or your comfort.

Beautiful old building. In a very peaceful and quiet area of Norfolk. Not too far from the beautiful Snettisham beach. With lovely dog walks near by. Really dog friendly pub and accommodation. All the staff we spoke to seemed happy, helpful polite and efficient. We ate at the restaurant the two nights we stayed. Food of a good quality and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful.

Not anything we didn’t like. Although I could see a problem if you had mobility issues (or a large elderly dog)as stairs to the accommodation was steep. But maybe there is ground floor accommodation!

Great location for exploring Norfolk. Rooms were comfy and clean with some nice little touches of high quality toiletries and plenty of hot drink choices. Breakfast was delicious and very good quality - you could tell it was all locally sourced! Nice little residents lounge for if you didn’t want to sit in the bar area.

Our room was above the men’s toilets so during the day there was a lot of door banging and the sound of the hand dryer. I will say though that this never once disturbed our sleep and we were out during the day anyway so it wasn’t enough of an issue to complain about - just something to be aware of!

Great location for the Norfolk coast. Large car park area. We stayed for dinner and food was very good. It is very close to RSPB Snettisham Nature Reserve. We were able to witness the Snettisham Spectacular this last August early in the morning and then come back for breakfast! Staff was excellent throughout our stay.

Rooms are above the pub, which has its pros and cons. They are nice but a bit limited in space and "modernity" for obvious reasons. No secret here, we knew what we were booking. Nevertheless, the bathroom was comparatively large and seemed recently renovated, so that was very good.

The staff were really helpful and did try to sort out a couple of problems but on the whole I really enjoyed the stay. The location is lovely - not too far from Sandringham which I enjoyed visiting on the way there! Yes and the food is good too - especially the choices at Breakfast.

The hotel was easy go get to and although I had slight difficulty finding a space in the car park - I did find one eventually! The only other problem was that the TV was not wi-fi enabled so I was quite disappointed at only being able to watch a couple of channels - and not all of them available either!

Wonderful location and setting with good parking set the tone for our stay at the R&C. Nothing appears too much for the staff to make your stay as memorable as possible. Our room was "cosy" but not small with an extremely good sized bathroom/wc. A range of toiletries was replenished daily as was the tea/coffee tray, which also included cafetiere + coffee. The bed was very comfortable and ideal after a good walk in the area. Both the bar and restaurant areas were well managed and all the staff throughout the hotel were a credit to the hotel. Breakfast had a varied choice, both hot and cold, and was well presented. The evening menu, which could be taken in the restaurant and bar areas has a good range of choices, so no wonder the R&C continues to win awards. It is "Everything you'd expect ............... and more ........" as it states on its website.

The rooms are very nicely decorated and the food is exceptional. Very clean and staff very accommodating and professional. We enjoyed a lovely meal and breakfast. We stayed as we were taking part in an event at Sandringham Estate which is a short drive from this location. Thank you Rose and Crown for a lovely stay.

We didnt dislike anything at all. It was a hot day when we stayed and the room was very hot we had two little fans either side of bed but they were noisy and didn't made little difference to the temperature of the room. The mirror in the room we stayed is tucked in the corner with a telly on wall. A full length mirror would of been helpful. But we had a lovely stay and it wouldn't put us off from returning and my comment should not put you off from booking as we will rebook to return when next visiting. Thank you Rose and Crown.

Simply fantastic! This pub is a lot of things but happily does each of them perfectly and not at the expense of the other - as is often the case. The Rose and Crown manages to be a traditional village pub, supporting the local community with 6 well kept local ales; as well as an excellent fine dining restaurant with high quality food at good prices; as well as a hotel with excellent rooms and fantastic breakfast; as well as a tea room with coffee and cakes and also serves some great cocktails! All the staff were lovely and efficient. It was incredibly busy all weekend and not once did any of them seem flustered. A credit to everyone involved. We would definitely stay again (and very dog friendly too!). The perfect base for exploring the beautiful local area.

Lovely quirky property! Very clean and comfortable. We both enjoyed the breakfast, but the evening meal was disappointing. Due to the bank holiday there was a limited choice for evening meal! We were expecting the Sunday roast, but they had run of out of certain items, and we noticed it wasn’t just us that were disappointed! Some customers decided not to eat there at all. We appreciated a bank holiday is a busy time, but feel that this should have been anticipated better. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and very clean! All the staff are wonderful, and very friendly and kind! We would definitely go back in the future.

Better quality items on the evening menu! We unfortunately parked up under trees as spaces were limited due to the busy period! This meant our car, which we had just paid to have cleaned, got covered in petals and sap from the trees!
