The staff were super friendly and helpful The room was clean well decorated and spacious with a nice bathroom and comfy bed We liked the dog friendly vibe everywhere- you don't always encounter this

Just felt the food could have been upped a notch or two eg fish and chips- great fish but the batter was a little over cooked and was crunchy brown rather than light to break into and a perfect golden brown. Breakfast selection was generally fine although the home made granola was welcome I found it was very hard in the mouth and on the risky side for teeth! Also just felt the cooked option I chose was a bit 'ordinary'- the poached eggs broke into a puddle of yolk so I would say were a little under-cooked. Small refinements in the kitchen would improve this

A beautiful building with modern bedrooms, gorgeous bathrooms and everywhere is pet friendly which was fantastic for us as we brought our dog. The staff were warm and welcoming and food was delicious! We thought it was a lovely idea to add a dog bed, towel and shampoo to the bedroom and our dog loved her sausage at breakfast. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The room was a good size, comfortable bed, excellent in room facilities, even had a teapot for morning cuppa and fresh milk ! Toiletries in the bathroom luxury brand. Breakfast first class, excellent smoked haddock and perfectly cooked poached eggs… sign of a good chef. Friendly helpful staff, even when busy . Thank you for a lovely stay

Nothing that I didn’t like… had a courtyard room which has the benefit of being able to open the door and let fresh air in. If I looked for possible improvement, the courtyard could have done with a sweep, the table and chairs a wipe and the parasol had seen better days. But didn’t take away from a lovely stay

The location was perfect. Views of the sea from our room. Beautiful decor combining old with new. Plenty of parking and really friendly staff. Loved that you t was dog friendly. We didn’t take our dog this time but loved being able to pet other dogs that were there!

No complaints at all. Breakfast was very busy and took a little while but perhaps not enough staff on. Despite that the staff were very friendly and apologised for the wait.

Excellent meals. Very nice room, even though the staff were not aware that we had booked a room with a sea view ( our room did not have a sea view). They said that Booking.com keep allocating this particular room as having a sea view even though they keep telling you it hasn't! The staff were very accommodating and gave us a free evening meal to make up for the extra money we had paid for a sea view. So satisfied with the outcome.

The Lifeboat was fine, but may I suggest that Booking.com listen to their hotels so there is clearer communication (see above comments about room with sea view). I am more inclined to book directly with the hotel in future to avoid any confusion

The food,drinks and comfort was superb as well as the wood fires,great to come back to after a cold day walking. All the staff were very accommodating and made people very welcome.

We stayed at the Chequers inn which is only a short walk away and the room was very comfortable. It wasn't until the booking was complete that I realised we wouldn't be staying at the Lifeboat. That aside it could of been my fault for not reading correctly ! All in all was a great stay. Thank you

Breakfast unbelievable. Dinner was lovely very good value. Room and en suite fantastic lots of toiletries loads of towels lovely big bath and power shower, Exceptional dog friendly service everything they wanted was provided, Good parking & outside seating was all the way round the pub grounds. Staff at breakfast were brilliant & the lady on reception very helpful.

After our lovely dinner we went for a long walk, when we returned 2 hours later for a drink our leftover plates as well as the table next to us still had not been cleared, this would really put me off if I came in to eat or have a drink, it wasnt even busy. Also at breakfast it would be nice if someone came over during the eating of our breakfast to see if we required anything else like more tea/toast or the like, its not good when you have to try to flag down a staff member, again it was not busy at all.

The staff and the hotel are wonderful as is the location. Dogs loved it, room very comfortable and wonderful as always staff.

Breakfast was a 10/10 and could not have been better but I found dinner could be improved sorry. Apart from my wife's soup as a starter the rest was not great really. I ordered Whitebait not realising it would be a deep fried covered in batter event. I expected just whitebait as the menu, thai curry was not very good and the traditional Ham and Eggs the Ham was very very dry. Sorry guys because we love that coast, your establishment and everything else but hopefully you will see this as constructive.

We had a double aspect room with a spectacular sea view. It was beautifully decorated in a New England style. The bathroom had coincidentally, one of my favourite range of toiletries, Jasmine, from the White Company Floral collection. The staff were all very welcoming and polite and the food was excellent. The cosy seating areas around the log fire were perfect for curling up with a book after a long days walk along the boardwalk. A perfectly relaxing break, we're definitely going back.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
