The location is great with lovely outlook, near grass, fines and beach. Not too busy although public parking nearby shared vehicle access. Rooms good and of a period, ours (107) was a little compact despite the great sea view but we were on a short stay so no great problem, except a double room should surely have 2 easy chairs especially in a ‘with view’ room, although something would have to go to fit it in. Staff very good, helpful and pleasant.

Not told the hotel restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Seem to have done away with hotel staples like afternoon tea, scones etc. some long term casual visitors we met were a bit dumbfounded by that after coming for years. Admittedly the Mariners gastro pub is next door serving the usual stuff but there’s nothing on the website to that effect. The sense we got was changes had been made with more to come after this season. I would suggest some of the missing things are reinstated. See comment about easy chairs.

Excellent customer service. The staff in both the restaurant and hotel were incredibly patient and professional. They provided great food and a peaceful night's sleep to be refreshed with a magnificent shower. I was never disturbed, everything worked exactly the way it should. I wish I'd taken a photo of the food because it was amazing. I was just too busy enjoying it; a full English, eggs benedict and porridge were some of the included choices. I would have loved to try everything. This place was an absolute gem. I think everywhere I go will have to live up to this standard now. I really felt I got my money's worth; if you like romantic walks on the beach and you want to feel special, then this is the place to visit.

No seriously... It was all those things.

Evening meal (salmon steak) was delicious and well presented. Breakfast was generous and top quality with plenty of choice. All the staff were attentive and efficient. The bedroom and dining room was warm and cosy. A lovely peaceful location handy for bus stop and beach.

My first view of the side of the hotel (possibly an annexe) as I came from the bus stop was a bit off-putting, with peeling paint on the window frames, and it made me anticipate that the hotel would be a bit shabby and run down. But this couldn't have been further from the truth once I walked round to the front entrance: everything about my stay exceeded all expectations!

Lovely hotel in great location ,with lovely views, lovely walk into Hunstanton where you will find the shops and eateries , Also the green where they have live music at different times .walk further from there into Heacham where you will find lots eateries along sea front going to the end where there is a small fun fair .nice walk back to old Hunstanton to the hotel to peace and quiet , rm107 had great views from window ,across the green and looking out to sea , what more could you want .

Shame the restaurant wasn't open , but Mariners had a good selection of meals to choose from next door .

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and just metres away from the sea. The layout of the hotel does not do it justice when set in those surroundings. Booked a twin room for an overnight stay to attend Sandringham Live - Mariah Carey, Nile Rogers &Chic, and Eternal. The room was amazing, well layed out, clean to an impeccable standard. The bathroom had an amazing shower - which was much needed after the days festivities. Breakfast was great - options were right up my street; vegetarian breakfast, eggs Benedict, Nutella for the toast!! The night porter and day reception were equally friendly and nothing was too much. Everyone was friendly and I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely nothing to write here It was all great, the pricing was acceptable and I slept like a baby!

We loved our ground floor room, with sea view, and its doors to the small, private, outside space with table and chairs. Our room was fresh and clean and the T&C area was supplied with biscuits (cookies), and the milk came in miniature bottles, not plastic. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge/bar/sunroom (thankfully no TV) and found others to chat with…if we wanted to.

Check-in was a bit of a traffic jam, with so many people trying to register at the same time, 4pm. This was compounded by the fact that there was only one member of staff on reception, though she stayed calm and unfazed by the waiting queue, and the phone ringing off the hook.

I had a ground floor room with patio with table and chairs over looking the sea, one of the best places I've ever stayed. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant in the main hotel with a superb menu. A short walk and you are on the beach. Fantastic bar for lunch and lounge rooms all over looking the sea. A perfect place to relax. Next to the hotel is a superb arts and crafts hall, selling wonderful items.

There is generally a very poor mobile phone signal here, not the hotels fault but the area generally, have to go out into the car park to even make a call or get a text let alone roaming services. But the hotel Wifi was not working properly either. I was there five nights and in that time they didn't fix the Wifi which was very disappointing leaving me somewhat incommunicado. Otherwise it would have been a perfect stary. I found the food and service in the Mariners arms nearby to be poor (frozen chips, a salad drenched in too much oil) - simple food which could be done so much better. These are minor things but worth bearing in mind. There are signs about £10 for parking which are out of date and a guy offering private parking next door who blocks off half the road.

We stayed at this hotel as the reviews were very good and it had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. We were in room 218, which looked out across to the beach and sea and the most amazing sunsets! The room itself was a comfortable twin with spacious shower room and plenty of tea/coffee and fresh milk. The beds were made every day and bathroom cleaned. Food was plentiful in the hotel restaurant and the attached Mariner pub and there was also a pop up pizza truck on site. Lots of inside and outside seating, dogs also catered for with water bowls etc. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Really lovely old hotel, lots of character. Our room was in the old part of the hotel which was really lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. The views from the dining room and bar were incredible and well worth the visit. We loved being able to walk on the beach in the evenings and watch the sunset over the sea.

The hotel could do with modernising in the communal areas, updating and decorating could make the hotel feel really special. We visited another hotel around the corner for a meal and it felt more luxurious even though it was a lower star rating (This was just the bar and restaurant we didn’t see any rooms).

Great location with coastal views. Easy access to the beach. Plenty of free parking space.. This is a lovely traditional hotel with friendly helpful staff. The bedroom was well furnished with good lighting and a large comfortable bed. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits were all provided. The bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower and good quality toiletries, fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Excellent sea views from the dining room. We dined one evening in the hotel and the quality of food was very good. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
