The staff is very friendly, from reception to restaurant ! We arrived very late and the staff got well preparation to help us check-in. They are every patient. The breakfast is great too. They specifically prepared some tomato and mushrooms for my vegetarian taste and it’s yummy!

The bathroom can be improved and the water cannot flow smoothly.

Very friendly staff, clean, easily accessible by car, spacious room, bar that stays open until late, good prices, excellent breakfast made to order and also loved selection of teas and biscuits in the room.

A things to note: * for me the mattress seemed way too soft, for my partner though it was excellent so ymmv * car park is big, but not paved and it has some big potholes * they can accomodate late checkin as well however on booking checkin is until 2100 * the bar as well stays open until 2300-0000 however this info is not displayed on their website or booking

Staff were bright and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and modern, likewise the bathroom with its walk-in shower. Glad to have lots of off-road parking even if the surface was somewhat rough and uneven. Fast WiFi!

Breakfast was tasty but felt a little disorganised and the buffet selection was thin on the ground, first morning there was only 1 croissant available, 2nd morning there was none, even though we came down to breakfast earlier. I asked if they had any and they went to get some but they didn't appear until we had finished. The view out of our window at the back of the hotel was spoiled by clutter and it appears to be a smoking area with ash trays overflowing with cigarette ends. The rear of the hotel could be developed into an amazing space if reorganised and tidied up.

Location outside of Inverness in the countryside, close to Kirkhill and Beauly. Despite being along a larger road, it was quiet at night. Staff were friendly. Good to know is that staff are not at the facility at night and the main door is locked around 9 pm. Guests are able to exit and enter via the back door any time of day. The property was clean. Beds were super comfortable.

The bathroom had several items that need to be repaired including the towel holder, TP holder, fan, and shower head holder.

Great things - The staff are so friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. They are really working so hard on the inn to make it a great place to eat and to stay at. The food is excellent (breakfast & evening meal). The evening menu is quite pricey at a first glance but honestly the most tastiest meal and you get lots of it so definitely worth the price and more! The front entrance and dining room are pleasant looking, well kept and clean. Little extra touches such as mints and sweets on the desk. The room was big, clean and had everything you need, including little extras such as an additional plug in heater and hairdryer. The back bar area is a typical back room of a pub, we had fun playing pool each evening. It's fab and great value.

The only negative bits were the staircase and corridor to the bedrooms is a bit run down but everything else was amazing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Friendly , quiet, comfortable and clean. I was transiting from Aberdeen airport to Ullapool ferry early the next morning. This was the perfect stopping point, offering relaxing food and beverage experience and an early bedtime for early rise. 2 Lovely locals came in for dinner and provided entertaining and informative info for my trip to Lewis and Skye. Priceless!

Honestly, nothing. Was the perfect place to gather my thoughts for the next few days and lay my head after a long transit.

The first thing to say is that the staff are extremely hospitable, friendly and down to earth and this creates a really nice atmosphere at the hotel. The food is also very good, the breakfast set up is excellent, and the dinner menu that we experienced (only the bar menu) was hearty, tasty and well portioned, if a little limited- though I think there is a restaurant menu we never saw. The rooms in the hotel, and parts of the hotel itself are little bit tired and might benefit from a little modernisation but this is well in keeping with the price and doesn't really detract from the experience.

Other than previously mentioned modernisation (but this didn't really bother me), I would say that road facing rooms can get a little noisy, especially if you have a window cracked open. I don't think anything can really be done about this unfortunately though.

Fantastic little hotel in an ideal location for touring the Highlands. We were made to feel very welcome by Andrew and his team of enthusiastic staff. The room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom and walk in shower. The beds were very comfortable. Our evening meal was excellent as was our night in the very well stocked bar chatting to Andrew and some friendly locals. I have stayed in several hotels in the Inverness area and this is easily the best and will definitely stay again.

A chair in the room would have been handy for removing and putting on our motorcycle boots but this is just my personal preference and in no way detracted from our enjoyable stay.

Room was basic but comfortable, staff was very helpful and super lovely, but honestly the main star was the food. We didn't expect it, but the food is all local, sustainable, fresh and excellently cooked. I had an amazing venison burger and the cullen skink was sublime. The owner, who I believe is involved in the cooking, came to chat to us and was explaining where they source their food and he seemed genuinely passionate about it. Would recommend staying here!

The shower was very old and ran on one of those pumps but it could have been worse!

A variety of choices for breakfast. I had dinner in the restaurant on two nights, the Balmoral Chicken was exceptional. My room was spacious and would have also suited a couple with one child. The heated towel rail was very good. Free on site parking and only 15 minutes to Beauly and Inverness.

The smart TV was limited in the channels which I could choose from, I did receive some help from a member of staff, perhaps we were both not so tech savvy. A mirror on the left side of the bed would be useful when using the hairdryer as there was a plug at waist height. The cord of the hairdryer was a short curly one and the only mirror in the room was above the desk, but the plug was close to floor level, therefore not compatible with being able to look in the mirror while drying your hair.
