We were all very pleased with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The hotel was quiet and comfortable; homey. The breakfast was excellent. The view out front was picturesque. The parking was convenient. Maybe a strange thing to note, but the towels and bedding were fresh and neutral instead of chemically-scented ... a real bonus for me. I also loved that they were line-dried.

Nothing comes to mind except a personal preference: I prefer using a washcloth when I bathe. I learned that the norm for EVERYWHERE we stayed in the U.K. and Ireland was to not have washcloths ... I will bring my own next time. :) :) :)

We had a lovely lunch on our earlier-than-expected arrival. The breakfasts had an excellent with a lovely selection of fruits, yoghurt and cereals. The fried courses were served in generous portions, the toast etc was good and the coffee was a welcome change from some of the 'cautious' brews sometimes presented. The evening meals were really good with a nice variety of dishes for each course. The bar was well stocked. All of the staff were friendly and courteous from start to finish. Our room was comfortable with a roomy and well-stocked bathroom. One the one clear day we had a great view of the Mermaid islands and the distant Ailsa Craig.

One minor matter which was quickly rectified was was the scarcity of hangers. The hot water for the wash basin took a little time to reach us, probably due to our being distant from its source.

Very convenient to our wedding venue. But I tried to contact you, but got someone on the phone and after waiting 10 minutes they cut us off. I had booked 2 rooms but the morning of the wedding our friends husband was rushed to hospital so we only used 1 room and the owner of the halfway house told me to ring you to no avail.

Not being able to contact you

Food very good. Excellent breakfast. Nothing too much trouble for staff.They are very friendly. The whole place is spotless. It might not be one of the modern hotels but they upgraded rooms to a lovely standard. Bed very comfortable.

The hotel was spotless. Very comfortable beds and a very powerful shower! The location is superb with lovely views and we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather.

The only downside was no lifts and my hubby has mobility issues, but my fault for not checking in the first place.

really clean room, bed was incredibly comfortable, lovely food in the pub, really pretty view over the water, good breakfast with lots of options, staff were very friendly and helpful.

the only small issue was my shower (the power shower units on the wall) was very loud & sounded like being next to a vacuum cleaner, when I got out the shower the people next door were using their shower and they had the same issue with a loud vibration through the wall which would have woken me up if I wasn’t already up. They probably need a little tinkering, but it was a small issue in an otherwise lovely stay.

The hotel was beautifully situated for the purpose of our visit to the Antrim Coast. On arrival we were really well looked after by both management and staff. The hotel facilities were excellent- cosy and welcoming and the menu was expansive easy to understand and enjoyable. We dined both nights of our stay and we loved the food - wonderfully served and presented. We are very well traveled at our stage of life but this hotel was as good as it gets when travelling about those lovely places right on our own doorstep. A memorable mid week visit and stay !!!!

Well nothing actually

Lovely location, excellent room, brilliant and friendly service, great food. Our first time in NI from Australia, enjoyed every minute. Great advice from Wendy on places to visit and hospitality from her and her husband was brilliant

We have no complaints whatsoever

The location relaxed atmosphere, the politeness of the staff and the great host and hostess. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Meals in the hotel were top quality served hot and plenty of variety.

Breakfast choices were fine. Had enough to eat but a wee bit of potato bread on the cooked breakfast would have been nice too!

As above but that is a personal choice of mine. More to show off Northern Ireland produce to be honest.
