The Harbour Inn is a stones throw from the ferry terminal which is great, it is 'SPOTLESS' throughout, my wife and I booked the Harbour Inn, forgetting to mention that I have difficulty with stairs however, Liz has assured us that the 'next time' we stay, to remind her on and she will allocate us a room lower down. The rooms are as spotless as the rest of the place and have a TV and hospitality tray as well as a hair dryer and an iron. There are a few nice places close by to eat out, as well as a retail park with an ASDA store and a few other retail outlets. Oh, and have to say, the breakfast was great, not a spot of grease anywhere on the plate despite it being a full cooked breakfast.

Well, for my wife and I personally, the stairs up to our room BUT... That was our own fault, as I neglected to let them know in advance, had I done so, then this would not have been an issue as Liz would have allocated us a different room, on the lower floor but these rooms were already taken.

Liz our host was such a friendly happy lady, we were welcomed like Royalty, we were due on the 0800 Ferry from Larne to Cairnryan, and the Harbour Inn was within walking distance, to the ship, although we were in a lorry. We did not have time for a breakfast, however Liz was quite happy to make us one at 0630 !! The B & B was ideally situated after such a long drive (13 hours) we just need to get into a bed for the night, Thank you Liz, and if we ever need to get to Larne again I would certainly book the Harbour Inn again.

Just one thing, a better and larger Duvet, perhaps a King size on a double bed, with my husband and myself it got quite cold during the night, other than that everything else was 100%

Perfect location for ferry, as well being a short walk to the train station for direct train to Belfast, and drive access to the Antrim Coast Road. Liz was very friendly and welcoming, with lots of suggestions and tips for things to do and getting around. The local pub, Olderfleet, was great for dinner and a drink. Good communication in lead up to our stay with Liz. Free, on street parking out the front of the B&B. Small, clean, cosy room on top floor with ensuite. Excellent breakfast included with a number of options including continental and cooked breakfast, tea, coffee and juice. Served in large dining room on ground floor.

Had a wonderful stay! Liz and company were great. My husband and I stayed for a full week at the beginning of April, and we found the Harbour Inn to be a great base of operations for exploring Northern Ireland. Easy to get in and out of the town with our rental car, and free parking. We also took advantage of the train station just being a 4 min walk down the road and we used that to get to Belfast. You can also walk to several restaurants. The Inn is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Liz and family provide great recommendations, and make some amazing French press coffee in the morning. Would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again.

Visited Larne to watch our team play a football match, there weren't many guest houses in the town but we are glad we stayed here. It is right by the ferry port which my son thought was fascinating watching them load, unload and turn around! This b&b itself is just lovely, it's obviously a quite historic property and has loads of lovely original features including a beautiful grand staircase, From the outside it looks small but inside it is huge, it is very deceptive. The landlady takes a lot of pride in keeping the place spotlessly clean and she is very helpful giving local tips on transport and places to eat. The rooms have all the comforts you need. Breakfast was just what we had hoped for as we wanted to try an 'Ulster Fry' with soda bread etc, and we got to have this. I have to give it a 10 out of 10.

No complaints at all!

The owner, Liz, made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Nothing was a problem. We were catching the 8am ferry to Cairnryan the next morning and Liz got up and cooked our breakfast at 6.30! She recommended the Olderfleet pub for dinner and it was delicious. The B & B couldn’t be in a better location for catching the P & O ferry as it is adjacent to the harbour. We literally just drove up the street and straight into the ferry terminal. Would stay there again if we ever get back to Larne

Absolutely gorgeous old home, Liz was a very welcoming and gracious guest! Room was perfect, en-suite was so nice! Perfect location to catch the ferry in the morning. Loved everything about it!

I didn’t know I’d be on the top floor without any lift. In the future, perhaps communicate that little detail. My back is still paining me from carrying my suitcase up the four flights of stairs.

Location was close to an excellent pub and to the train station. Liz is an excellent host, providing great recommendations, friendly & welcoming. Everything was very clean with little homely additions throughout - unique themed decor; flowers and ornaments. Liz is obviously a very house proud lady. The room was cosy and warm, bathroom ensuite has been recently renovated, beds very comfortable. Liz provided a great Full Irish breakfast in the morning to get our day off to the best start. We felt welcome and at home.

The building is an older style (which is fine) and the timber floor was a little noisy to walk on - but that might be due to my 120Kg moving around!!

Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. Gorgeous breakfast room. Really welcoming stay in a lovely room. Very handy for the ferry to Cairnryan - you can literally see the boat from the front windows! It's a quiet area, so we had a peaceful night's rest. Hosts are very kind and helpful. We love staying here and look forward to coming back

Liz, the owner, is so friendly and helpful and makes you feel instantly welcome. She seems genuinely interested in your day and your journey and I can’t speak highly enough of her. The WiFi was the best I’ve had anywhere. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and served so fast that it hit me on the back of the head as I was sitting down. Amazing stay.
