The staff at the other hostel was very nice. The Polish guy asked me if it was my first time in UK and fhings like that, which always works as an ice-breaker. The kitchen and terrace are a nice and chilll place to relax and talk to other people if there is the chance. The bed is comfy and the thing I liked the most is that it has this curtain for privacy. You also get a key to the locker for a refundable deposit of 10£ to the locker. The showers work well and the toillets are clean. All good :)

It is true that it is necessary to check in somewhere else instead to get the keys and it is annoying, especiallly if you are tired. However, this is clearly stated in the main picture of the hostel on booking.com and a day before you get a message with the same instruction, so nothing to complain about miscommunication, but it would be great to check-in on the spot, since a 20 min walk may not be very pleasant. Also as a suggestion, would ne nice if you guys put a little lamp on the bed and a little board to drop stuff like phones or chargers. When we turn off the light it's dark for everyone and some of us would like to read a book :) Nothing of this is a big deal, but a constructive feedback instead. Great place!

It was nice and simple and well looked after

It is a small hostel with lots of advantages in comparison to same price range hostels. Rooms are small from 4 to 6 beds. Washing machines, dryers are free of charge. Detergent for washing machine is provided by hostel free of charge. Towels free of charge. Kitchen with all pots and pans you might need. The location close to Kennington Station is quite convenient too. In July 2024 I visited a few hostels in London and at the end I was extending my stay over and over again in this one. It represents the best price to value ratio among all I've seen this month.

This place doesn't have reception. I didn't notice it for the first time I booked with them so it was a surprise to me to go to another hostel to check-in, but it is the only downside. It is re-compensated by upsides.

location; 5 min. on walk to Elephant Castle (easy to go within 20〜30 miin. popular spots by bus) terrace; good place to relax. staff; Robert is nice guy.

The hostel is clean, and the facilities are enough to accommodate my stay. The manager is friendly, and it is nice talking to him every morning. The position of the hostel is good, close to the bus stop and 25-30 mins walks to tourist attractions like Big Ben.

The only downside is that you have to check in and pick up the key to your room in another place, which you probably have to catch the bus/tube. However, they notify you this information when you book the room and remind you again before your stay, so you can plan ahead. The stairs may be challenging for huge luggage, but managable.

I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it was a nice room with big windows , comfortable beds plenty of electric sockets to charge your devices, clean toilets and bathrooms. It also has a fully loaded kitchen where you get Tea / Coffee and Sugar, they also provide steam iron in case you need it the property was very near to kennington under ground and elephant and castle underground station , tesco supermarket is also nearby

being on main road it was a bit noisy which sometime disturb your sleep. another thing which i don't like is that they don't have reception in this hostel , you have to check in their parent hostel which is 1 mile away

The rooms were clean and taken care of.

The beds were very firm, which isn't necessarily bad for some people, but a lot of people will probably find them too firm. Also, in the room I stayed in there was only two outlets, and no outlets at one of the bunks. There was a provided extension cord, but it seemed everyone in the room was trying to use that instead of the wall outlets at their bunks. The one room for the toilet that included two showers in it, there was barely any room to sit on the toilet and have the door closed.

The cricketers is fantastic! I have been staying quite regularly during these pass few months, due to unforseen circumstances at home whilst prosecuting our NHS, whilst trying to rent. As a born & bread Londoner believe me when I say this place is a hidden treasure! Beds are clean with protectors, bathrooms are cleaned several times at least 4 times a day, the facilities are great with free hairdryer, iron, kitchen facilities and use of washing machine for free and has a nice roof terrace which is great in summer months. It's well managed and the staff at both cricketers and Dover castle are very friendly and accommodating. It's safe and secure and is on a main busy road into city centre with good transport links, so travellers you will find it easy to see the sights. Honestly, I am exceptionally fussy when it comes to cleanliness and I am so happy I found the cricketers. In all this time I have lived in South London, I never knew it was a hostel until now, I am forever grateful I found this place and to the staff who allow me to stay. It is by far very civilised and the best hostel I have stayed!!!

Guests who don't respect other people using these facilities and clean after themselves particularly when using bathrooms. Where all adults, if you travelling please respect and consider others and staff that clean after you!

The hostel is clean and well-maintained. It seems the managers care about maintaining order and ensuring that the environment is respectful for all guests - they are responsive and attentive to issues. The dorm room for 3 guests was quite spacious and checkout was very easy

No lockers for your bag, but the room itself is under lock and key. There are also some rather tight spaces (I'm thinking of one toilet in particular which is very challenging to use when the stall door is closed - but there are a number of different options). As it's an older build house, the stairs can also be a bit creaky when being used, which you might hear during the night.

Hostel was quit good, kitchen was fine with household appliances, also bathroom was clean.

To take the key from first hostel then check in to Cricket hostel, we been to first hotel with luggage then carry again to next hostel is little hazzle....
