Located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Lovely college vibe and a lot green. Short walk to the Piccadilly line metro station and a shopping centre. Surrounded by good artisan coffee shops, pastry shops and restaurants.

The room is basic. The bed and pillow are not comfortable. No water boiler in room. Bathroom is flooded every time when shower.

They allowed me to leave my luggage in a room near the reception before check-in time, which was very convenient. The building has a classic English style—it was a nice experience to stay in a traditional local property. Right in front of the building, there’s a bike-sharing (lime, forest…) parking station, which makes it incredibly easy to rent a bike and get around.

The initial room I was given was on the basement floor. Although it had full-sized windows facing outside, they were below road level. The room felt dark and uninviting—quite different from what I had seen in the booking photos. I asked the hotel for a room change, and fortunately, they were able to accommodate my request. The new room was on the top floor and have much better window visibility and sunlight.

These post graduate University Halls are in a great location: walkable from Kings Cross, a stone's throw from Russel Square tube station, in the heart of Bloomsbury and Camden, and close to all the eating places and bars on lovely Lambs Conduit street. I like the feel of staying in Halls and these are lovely: an old college feel, around a quad, with lots of international students. I asked for a quiet room as I had a big work event, and I was given one - on the 4th floor overlooking the beautiful old trees of the park opposite. As it is Halls, I was expecting a small, plain and spare room. But it was actually a bit bigger space, and bed, with lovely big windows due to the old building. Very clean indeed. Shared bathroom and toilets and shared kitchen where you can make a cuppa which were all clean and fine. I don't mind any of that - I prefer that and a cheaper price, and to stay somewhere with this feel than a hotel. The on site catering is also good and very good value. Overall it was peaceful there, and interesting, and I really liked it. I will definitely stay again.

I honestly can't think of anything for me (but you have to like Halls, shared facilities and not want to be in a hotel!).

Historic building, student-oriented, 24-hour reception with helpful staff, decent campus cafe, great location with cafes, restaurants, pubs, supermarket , museums, open parks, and access to busses and the tube all within a few blocks. Large room with large desk, under-the -counter fridge , smidgen of soap and shampoo provided. Comfortable and good value .

The two windows in the room were above head height and were fixed open to only a few centimeters. In the heatwave the room became like a sauna without chance of cooler night air. Another poor judgement item in the high heat was the provision of a duvet instead of a light sheet on the bed. Heatwaves didn’t used to be the norm but maybe something for housekeeping to reconsider now that climate changes are happening.

-The room was pleasant, spacious, and clean. Comfy bed with firm mattress. Some of the furniture was a bit run down and the floor boards could do with a coat of varnish, but it's a college residence not a hotel! -There's a kitchen on most floors and a laundromat in the basement. The staircases and corridors are well-lit and spacious and the artwork on the walls tasteful. -What's more, the area is incredibly quiet and yet you're a stone's throw from King's Cross, the British Museum, etc. -The staff are also friendly and competent. I'm actually going back in a fortnight. Can't wait!

A great location in the wonderful Bloomsbury area. It’s quiet, green and very convenient. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The first night my room was too hot and the bed a bit lousy. A wonderful lady at the desk changed my room immediately. And all was good. There is is good place to have breakfast, lunch and diner. The college atmosphere among the students was very thriving. I was staying there to get some work done and it was the perfect place.

As a Hungarian citizen, I’m used to dorms in Hungary often being less than modern or perfectly clean, so I had modest expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Goodenough College Uni Residence — it exceeded them in every way. I chose it based on the positive reviews and central location, and I’m glad I did. The building has a romantic, elegant aesthetic, and my room was spacious, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. The soundproofing was excellent — I never heard my neighbors — and I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as fresh towels and small toiletries provided upon arrival. I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom, but I must say, both the showers and toilets were consistently clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. (The room itself had a double bed (yes, it was comfortable), mirrors, a sink, a fridge, a giant wardrobe, chest of drawers and a big desk with a comfy chair.) The garden area is beautiful, made me feel like I was in a Taylor Swift-Love Story music video. (oh and the cute terrace, I fell in love with that.) The staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful when I asked for local recommendations. Their assistance made settling in much easier, and I really appreciated their welcoming attitude. Overall, I’d highly recommend it — not only for the amenities and cleanliness but for the quiet, elegant atmosphere it provides.

Honestly only one thing comes to mind: I wish the shared showers had built in hairdryers.

stay here for two nights only. It exceeded my expectation. Staying here reminded me of my old college days. I like its environment. Also, I like its dining hall for breakfast and dinner. I had breakfast and dinner at the dining hall. It is just like most university dining hall. The food is good, no fancy thing, but just food. The room is not big, but comfortable, also quiet. The location is great, close to Russell Sq station. The price is affordable if you want to stay more days in London. Highly recommended!

It’s a college dorm building with a 24 hr reception, excellent WiFi, close to two Tube and rail stops plus buses, but in a quiet and safe area. The room was large for one, with a single bed and towels, a sink with toiletries, a desk, chair, outlets, closet, safe, and lamps. There was a large window looking out onto a central courtyard and access to a roof sitting area nearby. There is a clean kitchen (buttery/pantry) for common use, with a stove, kettle, some storage cupboards and microwave (though minimal silverware). No cups or mugs 🙂 There are dining options in the great hall that are plentiful and very reasonably priced. They hold your luggage though it’s in a side room next to the desk (without a door) and you just leave stuff without any tags etc so best not to keep anything valuable in bags. Elevator building. Close to lots of shops and the Brunswick dining/shopping center, walking distance to many museums and tourist neighborhoods. Easy (and inexpensive) to get to Gatwick by taking a bus to the Thameslink stop near Holborn.

I’d booked a room with a shared toilet/shower but when I got there, there was a sign on the bigger of those facilities that they were going to be unavailable the next day. So I opted to shower that night and then had to rely on the smaller toilet (two stalls) which were shared by the whole floor. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience because there were fewer residents but it was an inconvenience nevertheless.

Amazing, ornate building with very well maintained facilities. The courtyard is beautiful. Beautiful refectory where guests can purchase meals. Good, quiet location near Russell Square underground, supermarkets and cafes. Lovely room with private facilities. Security was excellent and someone was always available at the reception desk. I would stay here again.

I'm sure it was in hand to be dealt with but one corridor on the ground floor of the other building had an awful odeur of stale urine. I found it difficult to purchase a coffee in the evening (Sunday service?) - Freddie's bar seemed to close about 8 and I was told that the coffee machine in the main refectory was turned off at 7pm. Not sure if there was a communal kitchen to use but it wasn't mentioned during check-in.
