We stayed at the Hyde City London Hotel for six nights and had a fantastic experience. The location couldn’t have been better – with nearby train and bus stations, it was incredibly easy to reach all the major sights across London. From the moment we arrived, the staff were wonderful. We were welcomed with a complimentary upgrade, which we really appreciated, and throughout our stay the team were so helpful - even taking our delivered laundry up to our room for us. They also gave us excellent recommendations and guidance on services, which made our trip even smoother. The room itself was spacious (large for London standards), very comfortable, and cleaned regularly.

There were a couple of stray hairs here and there, but nothing major at all. Overall, we felt so well looked after and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel was very clean. Its location is perfect, and the decoration was beautiful.

While my stay was pleasant overall, there were a few things I didn’t like. The pillow was not comfortable at all, and the room was quite small. I was surprised to find there was no cabinet for clothes, making it hard to organize my belongings. The AC control was far from the bed, and I was disappointed that the window was locked with no view, which made the room feel more closed in.

I liked the location, a beautiful old building rooms were finely decorated and we had a nice view of the church opposite.. A good atmosphere it felt like we were staying in a proper hotel not just a cheapy.

The staff obviously like to play loud disco music Also at breakfast. It didn't bother us but I'm sure it would put some of the other guests off. I recommend that they play some calmer music at a lower level. I'm sure the customers would appreciate it.

The “VIP – City View” room was a good size for one to two people. The bathroom was spacious, and the provided slippers were comfortable. The room included an espresso machine and a small wardrobe. The hotel is centrally located with good transport connections. I didn’t use the restaurant, but it looked stylish. In the bathroom, there is an international Type-C dual socket, so you can charge both a flat iron and a smartphone without needing an adapter.

When I arrived at the hotel, my first impression was that it was rather underwhelming. The lobby was quite small, as was the narrow passage leading to the two compact elevators. The room doors were difficult to open, and the bathroom was uncomfortably cold in the evening due to single-glazed windows and a lack of heating. What I found most frustrating, however, was the high price compared to the overall experience. None of the USB ports by the bed were functional, which was particularly disappointing in a hotel that presents itself as modern. Fortunately, I was able to charge my phone in the bathroom using a standard power outlet, but in today’s hotels, working USB and USB-C ports should be a basic amenity.

Hotel staff at reception very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and very clean.

Breakfast!! This was very disappointing and very poor value for money and variety! We paid extra for breakfast which turned out to be nothing more that pastries, cake fruit and breads! No meats or cheeses etc. When challenging the manager was told we could have some eggs. We ate in the restaurant the night before and spent a lot of money with the room and the meal, so we felt the breakfast experience was very poor! Started the weekend on a high but unfortunately the breakfast spoiled the experience and would think twice about booking again in the future!

So pleased I booked this hotel as a special birthday surprise. Reception & restaurant staff were so helpful both before we arrived and during our stay. They gave a lovely upgrade I had hoped for and put a hand written card with fruit & sweets to mark the birthday. The room was very clean, looked out on a church, lovely decor and lighting, Lavazza coffee/tea maker and a mini fridge with milk & water. Towelling robes & shower flip flops provided plus toiletries & hairdryer. Very comfortable bed. Well organised luggage store (ticket assigned) available before check in / after check out which we really appreciated. Breakfast was amazing! £25 each credit from Al a Carte menu, which was extensive with English, continental & Turkish options. The Turkish breakfast & granola with yoghurt were both fabulous. Complimentary newspaper. Good location-5 mins walk from St. Paul’s tube station & the Cathedral, 15 mins walk to Blackfriars Pier/walk along Thames, 25 mins walk to theatre district. Felt a very safe area to walk in.

Everything about the property was fab. The restoration down to the interior. The hall ways to the room were lovely carpeted and the curtains in our room did the job 100% at keeping light out

If I had to give some constructive feedback on such a great stay then the only thing I could comment on is to have as much privacy for me and my guest, whether it’s my husband, my in laws/friend for the bathroom. If you like to get ready in the bathroom and use the loo without anyone else hearing you then maybe consider two rooms (if HYDE offer adjoining doors to rooms). Plus our bathroom doors didn’t shut 100%. I chose this hotel in spite of the small room size as its location was perfect for our plans. The room size and bathroom privacy hasn’t put me off booking again, next time I would just get a bigger room for us or two small rooms if I wasn’t staying with my husband.

The location was perfect, we attended a wedding at Stationers Hall. The staff were generally pleasant and friendly, the room was quiet with lovely toiletries and linen, the bed was comfortable, I liked the coffee maker, water and little bottles of milk I loved the decor throughout the hotel and the lifts

Breakfast was a little haphazard, we had to ask twice for teaspoons, and coffee, the butter ran out on the second morning and the fruit was slow to be replaced Breakfast staff were less warm and welcoming than the reception and housekeeping staff who were lovely

We've stayed at the hotel on two occasions now, both have been amazing. Most recently, we had the most amazing experience celebrating our anniversary at the Hyde. From the moment we checked in we were treated with such kindness, the front of house team were super friendly and helpful. As a surprise, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a suite to make our special occasion even more memorable, and Matas the duty manager personally showed us round the room to make us feel welcome. To make the experience even more special, we were greeted with a thoughtful fruit bowl, delicious chocolates and a hand written note from the team, adding a personal touch to our celebration,they really went over and above to make it an unforgettable experience. The suite was absolutely gorgeous,super spacious to make you feel at home and it had a lovely view of St Pauls. Despite it being on the main road the room was incredibly quiet, so we were able to completely relax, the bed was very comfortable. I remembered from my last stay that all the toiletries provided in all the rooms are so luxurious, and smell amazing so you truly feel pampered throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

The only thing missing in the room is a full length mirror for when you’re getting ready. But the bathroom mirror is large to be able to use if you can step back
