The staff were extremely helpful and very nice. There is a small courtyard to relax in. There is a lovely bar and restaurant. The rooms are small, but very comfortable and the beds are very comfortable. They are soft.

My only complaint is there were several stairs to get to the property. It is also not near the metro station.

Very luxurious hotel at the best location in London (very nice neighbourhood with many interesting places). All staff is very friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to the young brown-haired trainee who sent us to the wrong elevator but immediately followed us in the next elevator and apologised kindly and sent us the correct way (the interaction was funny and sweet). The room was VERY clean, luxurious, and well equipped. Though the windows were not openable (which is of course the case in most hotels) and I am very sensitive to non-fresh air, I got accustomed to the AC quickly and had no problem sleeping (in fact, I slept very well). The cold breakfast buffet is well balanced (cheese, ham, fruits, sweets, yoghurt, cereal, etc.) and the à la carte hot breakfast meals (one per person per day, duh) are very tasty. The ordered enhancement of the room (rose petals) was very nicely executed. We thank every one of the staff for their great work.

Staff were wonderfully helpful and did such a beautiful job preparing the room for my husband's birthday. The location is great- tucked away in maze of courtyards yet still accessible to major tourist areas via walking or transit. The room itself was unexpectedly spacious, clean and well appointed.

We did observe the way bar staff were treated by a supervisor one night and it was very uncomfortable. The supervisor came across as very disrespectful to the staff as he publicly chastized each person. As guests, we were treated wonderfully however I would be hesitant to return after seeing how management treated personnel.

Location was fantastic for our purposes and within 5 to 10 minutes of the event we were attending. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Great choices at breakfast.

Being of a generation that do not embrace smart phones and don't wish to own one, we were unable to access the hotel information as instead of a 'folder of paper information' in the room you had to scan a QR code on the tv screen. As we weren't able to do this we didn't get to know all the info about the room and safety etc. But we rang down to reception who were helpful in advising us how to access the wifi so we could link our kindle tablets to that, though still not access whatever it was via the QR code.

We loved the quietness of our location, absolutely NO street noise or noise from other rooms. You wouldn't have known you were in London! We also discovered that we'd been upgraded free of charge to a Junior Suite when we arrived, which was lovely as it was my husband's birthday! We had a BIG, comfortable bed and enjoyed our coffee making facilities in our room, as well as our dressing gowns which were soft & fluffy.

The bath towels could have been a big bigger & fluffier (like the dressing gowns!). But I'm quibbling...they were good enough!

The facade of the building hides a superior and well managed and appointed hotel in the heart of London. Quiet and comfortable, the jewel is the outdoor space behind the building. Private and secluded with seating areas, it is a welcome respite for London!

The hotel has two entrances: one with stairs and one without. The hotel believes that cabbies know this and that generalization does not apply. We got dropped at the front with a mountain of luggage which required my wife to stand guard while I investigated. This two entrance business needs to be better communicated.

Entry to this classic hotel was impressive. The location was centrally located yet VERY quiet and perfect for tourist activities in both east and west London. Staff was available and incredibly helpful. The room was spotless, modern, very well maintained and the bathroom was large enough for 2 women for 5 days. All amenities were available: hair shampoo/conditioner, body lotion, robes, slippers, iron/board, hair dryer, Nespresso coffee, tea/bouilloire, refrigerator. Beds were comfortable with good quality linens, small desk and excellent wi-fi. We didn't use the TV. Nice touch was the note pad and pencil. That doesn't happen often anymore. Another nice touch was the drink ticket the front desk gave us for having to wait but a few minutes to ready the room upon arrival. We didn't use them but, still, so very nice.:)

We reserved twin beds but there was so little space available between the two it felt like we were in the same bed. There was very little hanging closet space or drawers for clothes. It wasn't a big problem for us as we were on holiday with casual clothes so could live out of our suitcases but if I was in London on business, it might be a bit limiting. I would still stay here without question. It was lovely and SO quiet. :)

Good sized room (esp for London), large bathroom, very clean, nice decoration, quiet. Bed seemed hard at first, but we slept really well every night, so it must have been great! Really good gym, with modern and varied equipment, could do a great workout. Great location, around 12-15 minutes walk from Covent Garden, and about the same to St Paul's Cathedral. Price is decent for London. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Will return.

The wifi was frustrating, kept disconnecting (on all of our many devices) - that's what makes this hotel a 9 and not a 10. Could still just about have video calls, but with regular short interruptions. A shame, because everything else in this hotel is great.

Loved the hotel, I would highly recommend it. Very clean with lots of little touches like robes & slippers, bathtub and walking shower. The restaurants were delicious. It is modern and old world at the same time. Also, the location in the middle of the west end puts us central to all the London action!

Keep in mind, we were there in summer & the building itself is old but still the air conditioning in the rooms is lacking. It becomes stuffy. We asked for a fan for the room and that made a world of difference. The main lobby is air is very good.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of London. Very comfy bed as well as a separate bath and shower.

As a solo female traveller, I was uncomfortable at being dropped by my Uber at a poorly lit entrance, with a brass plaque, showing that it was indeed the hotel. The plaque was virtually unreadable at night. I had two bags and had to carry them down some stairs into an ill-lit area to access the hotel. There is another entrance which is better lit, with only a couple of steps, but my Uber driver didn’t find it!
