We arrived late which was no problem. They also stored our bags for us :-)

The size is actually so small that it is kind of hard to get dressed. And it defo had a London price tag...

The staff at this location (can't speak for the other zhotels) were very friendly and I felt did a lot to make my stay great. The connected hotel cafe were all friendly and helpful too. Pedro did a great job and even checked in on my credit card issue I was having the day I arrived, very thoughtful and kind. The rest of the team were also very friendly in discussing some sight seeing recommendations, definitely made my stay a lot better. Location wise and for the price it really doesn't get any better. I attended several theater shows in Covent Garden and it was a short 15 min walk back from that area. It's also situated within walking distance to many sight seeing areas. I didn't take the tube once to all the major attractions in central. Also, it is a 10 min walk to the Elizabeth line, so coming and going from Heathrow is a breeze. The area is quieter at night, which is great to get away from the mass touristy spots, and I didn't feel at all unsafe, it's a financial commercial area but there is also a school campus a block away and you'll see students from all hours of the day. I would consider staying here again if my main visit revolved around being in Central London.

The one thing that was a bit of a miss was the cleanliness of the bottle of waters in the hotel room and the kettle. There were visible stains in both and made me wonder when the last time they were cleaned or just refilled for every customer without cleaning. The glasses in the hotel were clean. I stayed on the top floor in the queen room with a view and although there were no noise from the hallway or other rooms, there was a lot of loud water noises in the walls and other mechanical sounds. If you are a light sleeper this would drive you crazy as it happened late in to the night.

The location is ideal—within a 30-minute walk to London Bridge, Soho, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden... The Elizabeth Line to Heathrow Airport is just a 10-minute walk away, and Temple Underground Station (serving the Circle and District lines) is only 5 minutes on foot. We chose the most budget-friendly option: a room on the lower ground floor with no window. While it lacked natural light, it was exceptionally quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep.

Storage space in the room is limited—you’ll need to keep most of your belongings in your suitcase under the bed. Otherwise, there’s nothing to complain about.

After checking in late with my small children I was overjoyed to learn that the hotel had a 24 hour restaurant (that sells really nice food). The children and I didn't need to go back outside to try and find something to eat, and the staff were all so friendly during our stay. The staff at reception even looked up tube connections for me the morning of my checkout to make my stay in London run more smoothly. The room itself was amazing - the bunkbed was sturdy - I thought it may be rickety and was preparing myself for an uncomfortable night, given the budget price I had paid, but the bunkbeds are actually 2 sturdy and comfortable double beds (we stayed in the Family Double room). The children were able to watch some cartoons (due to there being a good choice of tv channels as its unusual for kids programs to be on that late) whilst I got them each ready for bed. I was even able to watch something "grown up" on my own due to there being 2 seperate tv screens. The room is small but every inch of space is carefully planned, there's everything you need. The kids and I were so comfortable. The breakfast was well worth paying for in the morning as my children all ate free of charge - super!!

Loved the location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Was able to store my luggage after check-out. Liked the refreshments of flavoured water and fruit in reception and coffee making facilities in the room. Rooms were small as expected but big enough for what we needed. Beds and pillows were comfortable and managed to get a good sleep which I normally struggle to do in a hotel room. Would definately stay here again.

Only thing I would improve is make the shower/toilet screen slightly more opaque for privacy as I was staying with my daughter but wasn't a major issue.

Staff was wellcoming. The room is exactly like the photos. The shower has good pressure and temperature. The TV on the room has loads of different channels. The location is amazing to walk around in London, walk to the river, or get public transport to anywhere in the city. The Temple church just behind the hotel was great. Pub next door was also great. The Hotel is very quiet at night.

Mattress was a bit too hard for our backs, and there was a green emergency light on all night. I wanted a room with no windows because I like to sleep in complete darkness, the emergency light on all night was a nuisance. Still I would book this hotel again.

A Great Central Base in London – Practical, Clean and Friendly I stayed at the Z Hotel Central recently, and overall it was a very positive experience. If you’re looking for somewhere clean, modern, and centrally located without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice. The location really is spot-on — just a short walk from Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, and the West End. Perfect for hopping between meetings or exploring the city. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself felt calm and welcoming. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in quick and easy. The room was compact (as you'd expect in central London), but very well designed — clean, comfortable bed, great shower, and surprisingly quiet. Everything you need for a short stay.

A couple of small things to note: there’s limited space for luggage in the room, and no wardrobes, but if you’re travelling light or just staying a night or two, that’s not a problem. There’s also a café bar area downstairs which was handy for a quick coffee and bite to eat.

I think the first thing you notice about this hotel is how friendly the staff are!! I arrived early for check in and my room wasn’t ready, but I was fully prepared for, they let me drop off my bags and when it came to check in and go to my room, my bag was there waiting for me already in my room. The room was lovely and clean, also very modern. I picked a double room with no windows, which wasn’t an issue for me as I wasn’t planning on spending many hours in my room. I would say that the room is spacious for a solo traveler however, if two people were staying in the room it might be a bit cramped, potentially. The hotel is also in a great location, on Fleet Street which is just off of the Strand, and for any West End musical lovers like me, it’s in a prime location.

I think it might just be a bit cramped in a double room with no windows if two people were staying in the room. But that is only my opinion as it was just me in the room.

Perfect size for a single person staying a single night. I opted for no window - I arrived late and left early so no need for one, and anyway I prefer a complete blackout. The air con meant the room was airy and the temperature manageable. Great also that the restaurant/bar was open late and serving food (and allowing food deliveries). Found it quiet, clean and well serviced so all good. Just wish I’d booked direct as a Z member (which I am now); I booked through a third party so paid a little more

I couldn’t fault it for what I needed. So, I’d be happier if cheaper but not an issue.
