It’s quaint, cozy and elegant. Loved how calm and cozy it is. The staff are great and friendly, the amenities are perfect with personal touches. The room is perfectly clean and taken care of. If you’re looking for a quiet and quaint place this is the place to go. The South Kensington station is so close, and there are plenty of shops around the corner. The breakfast was amazing too.

The bathroom is a bit of a squeeze but I guess not much of a difference from other London places. My room was in the top floor, and the elevator doesn’t reach there, the staff were great and carried the luggage all the way up and all the way down though.

It’s a nice hotel in an excellent location near the Museums (V&A, Natural History), Albert Hall, Kensington House, etc. it’s on the Circle/District/Piccadilly lines with good connection to Heathrow/Central London and even Wimbledon. It has really nice staff who went the extra mile and was nice and quiet. The staff were on hand and made us tea when we wanted it. The bar is a honesty bar. The lounges had nice sofas. They did supply a gluten free (coeliac) breakfast.

The rooms sizes are adequate and very nicely furnished but not massive. It is London and it is much better than many I’ve stayed in so I was happy. If you have mobility issues do tell them. We had a beautiful marble bathroom with double sink but it was down 2 quite steep steps. I could envisage it being an issue for people my parents age. I’m 60’s and it was fine for me but a surprise. They said they try not to give these to people who have mobility issues.

My husband and I ended up very happy with our stay at Number Sixteen. The location was really wonderful - we loved being in a neighborhood, with a nice high street nearby, and blocks from a tube station with 2 or 3 lines, making it very easy to get around the city. The hotel public areas are lovely - two sitting rooms with big windows and ample, comfortable seating, an honor bar with coffee and tea, alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks available for guests any time, and a beautiful back garden adjacent to the lovely breakfast room. The staff was helpful, including taking our bags up the first night, which we appreciated since some of the floors are not served by elevators. The first night, we stayed in a TINY room in the rafters of the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the a/c worked very well, and the TINY TINY TINY bathroom was as well-designed as one on a ship. Impressive. For our second and third nights, we moved to a much larger room. The bed was still very comfortable, the a/c still worked very well, and there was a huge window overlooking the garden, room for our bags and other belongings, and the bathroom was spacious and well-laid out.

Though we loved our stay at Number Sixteen, I would not recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in one of the small rooms, like the one we stayed in the first night. There was no space for our bags, no place to take our clothes out of our bags and then store the bags in the closet, very little space to move around in the room, and the bathroom was truly tiny. To get in and out of the shower, I had to open the door to the bathroom to have enough space to open the door to the shower and slide my average-sized self in. These rooms should be sold at a significant discount and with ample warning to guests about what to expect. We travel to cities often and are not put off by small city hotel rooms, including rooms elsewhere in London, but this was EXTRA small.

The room decor and comfort, the staff, the breakfast and location - all perfect. Number Sixteen is a wonderfully discrete hotel in a central location, 2 minutes walk from the tube but on a quiet street with all amenities needed, close by. The staff were superlative and the room was fantastic. We really appreciated Kit Kemp's classic styling with the most comfortable of beds, and an airy and bright room on the ground floor without a sound from the street outside. The garden at the rear is stunning and the most beautiful refuge from the busyness of London. Breakfast was topnotch and a joy sitting watching the carp splash about in the water feature. We'll be back!

Nothing at all. But if we were to have to say something, the bath was a little slippery!

staff, breakfast was great location was great ROOM was average - \

The Room -- my room was up in the attic and I should have been warned of the stairs which were pretty unmanagable, the room was SOOOOO TINY I could not actually get in the shower without sideways getting in and scraping my body. To sit on the toilet you had to sit over the basin. YOu can not get out one side of the bed - it was too small

Stylish and efficient. Splendid Reception staff and service, very helpful and permitted drop off of luggage in the morning. Exciting and inspiring decor.

the hotel might like to consider groups of staff gathering and talking/ joking in the lounge where the drinks are made. It conveys the impression of over staffing and poor professionalism.

It is a small intimate hotel. Beautiful decor. Nice and relaxed. The hair dryer in my room was excellent! I have travelled a lot and hairdryers in all hotels, even 5* are never good enough. This was an excellent plus. It does make a difference!

The only thing I will say is that there is no lift service to the third floor. The stairs are almost vertical as these rooms are in the attic space. This could be a problem for some people.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom a good size. The room and bathroom were quite clean, and the cleaning staff did a great job of freshening up the room each day. The patio area with its garden was a nice spot for breakfast. The fish in the pond were a nice touch. The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, and he gave us a nice tour of the entire hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near an Underground station.
