Location quality of hotel and staff . Excellent breakfast

The only disappointment was on checkout to be asked for a discretionary service charge . We should have been made aware of this in advance. The service was excellent but this is not a cheap hotel and the Hotel should not rely on customers to pay the staff . I would suspect this practice loses the Hotel repeat customers as it has in our case

Proximity to tube, buses and museums. Very comfy bed and decent sized beautifully decorated room. Lovely little boutique hotel. Really excellent breakfast. Really helpful porters.

The pelmet above curtains in room 301 are worn and need replacing. They tried to overcharge me when I was checking out- that really lessened the whole experience for me.

Extremely well located, opposite South Kensington tube station, well-appointed air-conditioned room, quiet, with access to an elevator, a great breakfast and very efficient. The best thing about this hotel however, is the staff: all very welcoming, helpful, friendly—some of the best professional hotel staff I’ve had the pleasure to do business with anywhere. Very highly recommended, especially the front baggage gentleman who went out of his way to make my stay a true pleasure.

I can’t think of a thing. Choosing this hotel for your stay in London is what Americans call a ‘no-brainer.’

Location is perfect, right across the South Kensington tube station. This is a classic hotel with very comfortable rooms, and good soundproofing as I barely heard anything at night. Cold and hot water worked perfectly, and when I requested an iron they brought it right away. Staff is cheerful and quick to help. There is a calmness once you go into the hotel (perhaps because it is not a big chain) which I appreciated very much after a day's work. Would recommend it without a doubt. Breakfast was lovely.

I chose the less expensive room category, and I will try to select a higher category next time. There were no views at all, which did not really matter as I spent the whole day out and came back only to sleep, but it would have been nice to have a window to the street. Again, this is on me and the hotel was a 10 in every way.

Great location and Staff. The amenities are very nice with a great vibe.

The facilities are old so there are some issues to it, such as the water in the shower changing from hot to cold without touching the taps, or the slop in my first room. For me it's not a big issue but looking at the price, it should be looked into. If you have luggage, there's no much space in the smaller room so an upgrade may be necessary. Lastly, and even though the rooms were well cleaned, I really think hotels in general should move away from carpets, as this is harder to clean and the perfect environment for dust and bugs. Its 2025 and there are great alternatives.

I lived in London for 10 years and The Pelham hotel has quickly become my favourite hotel. The location is amazing and the staff truly go above and beyond to help guests with absolutely anything! This last stay I brought my dog & they kindly put me in a gorgeous room on the ground floor to make it easier to take him out. The room also had a luxe doggy bed and accessories for him! Very cute and helpful!! If I could live at the Pelham I would! I know if I’m a solo traveler I will always be safe at their Kensington location

The only complaint I have was that when I ordered water from room service. I was charged two fees (all room service) 1. Service charge & 2. Tray charge I have never seen this in my life but I would much prefer a larger service charge that pays the employees more- than paying for a wooden tray! Normally I never dispute the bill but since I was being handed water bottles (bc the staff brought them so quickly) there was no tray. I really hope they end this £5 tray charge bc wout a kitchen you’re stuck paying for a tray every time! I spoke to the manager Rosalind Pearce and explained that a huge portion of my bill was on trays not used (🤣 this sounds ridiculous) and she totally understood and agreed & removed the water trays from my bill. Lovely manager, lovely staff… lovely hotel!!!

Both the room and common rooms are superbly decorated and very comfortable. The concierge/doorman was fantastically helpful and friendly. He’s an asset to the hotel.

The disappointment was the breakfast experience. Everything had to be requested including each glass of water from staff who were stressed and unavailable. The cappuccino was so bad I had to ask for a black coffee instead. The food itself was very good but I feel it could have benefitted from having certain items (such as water and toast) available buffet style. The main problem was the breakfast area manager who publicly berated his staff causing embarrassment to all guests and the staff.

Great Location and very good value

The only problem was that the TV turned itself on at 4:00am and was impossible to turn off with the remote control…. I tried for 20 minutes turning it off and the result each time was that it turned on again each time after 45 seconds….. in frustration I called the night Manager who arrived very promptly and saw the problem was real. Eventually he reached his hand up the back of the TV and found the “off” switch which I would never have found…. The rest of my stay was excellent and the staff were all charming, particularly Thomas John the Concierge, from Mumbai and the guy from Bangladesh at the front desk whose name I don’t recall…..I hope the TV issue is resolved. I would certainly return in the future and recommend to friends and family ….Tim Lovell

This is our second stay as the location is excellent. Hotel is stylish, well maintained and clean. The concierge was also excellent!

Standard room was very small which was difficult to navigate when getting ready (two people and luggage). Upstairs occupants could be heard when coming in late and playing music. At this price point I would expect less disruptive behaviour from other guests in a small boutique hotel. Minimal room service in the night which in this area is the only time you would actually need room service. For example I couldn’t get a hot drink at 1am.

The room was very cosy, the location was right by a great and central tube station. The bed was SO comfortable, more than what we had at home! I also worked from the lobby when I first arrived as we had to wait to get check in - They have a beautiful library/drawing room that I coudl work at. Also the wifi was great and so was the coffee. We got flat white oat milks every more delievered :)

I didn't love that the key situtaion - You only get one and it wasn't a card haha I know this is silly but the key is big and the keychain of the key was also very big and clunky. There was one evening where we had to leave our keys at the front desk for my husband (who was arriving later that evening) and that made me slightly nervous with the only hard key downstairs. The shower was nice but the glass/screen fell short and the water got everywhere!
