I have been staying at the Pestana when in London for a few years already. Excellent location, made even more attractive by the nearby development of the Battersea Power Station site (shops, restaurants, bars) and new transportation links (Northern line, riverboat, bus). Also, access to private parking next door. I noted that breakfast has improved since my last visit. Good variety, including hot food. Rates are going up but, overall, it still represents reasonable value for money in central London.

The need for rejuvenation is becoming more urgent. Bathrooms in particular look very dated, with dim lighting . Gym is very small, with limited equipment. Reception staff can occasionally be overwhelmed.

The spa area was great but overused so by the evening lots of towels left strewn around with no attendant around.

The pool was small and there was not enough loungers once a few couple’s had already claimed them. And the steamroom seems to have seen better days.

I would recommend this hotel for a work trips, if you don’t need to use much of hotel facilities and just require clean a d comfortable room. The room was comfortable and clean to the standard Almost all my requests were immediately fulfilled, housekeeping kept my room perfectly clean every day. All stuff is professional and polite. The best thing about the room was having a bathtub and shower at the same time.

To my personal taste the breakfast wasn’t great: terrible coffee, not much of the options on the hot dishes and vegetables, but a big selection of pastry tho. The hairdryer in the room is very old and damaging for the hair, it even got broken when I was using it. Good thing, when I’ve requested a new hairdryer, I got a better and newer one from housekeeping. Very disappointing that during all my stay the sauna didn’t work, as the spa services were one of the reasons to pick this hotel. Also the gym is very small, I didn’t find any yoga mat to do my exercises.

Room was very large and well equipped - bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Staff were very professional and friendly and we were able to check in early, which was very much appreciated. The location is perfect for exploring South of the River or North West London.

The pool area and sauna are very small and sadly the day we were there, there were some very loud guests who appeared to be intoxicated and were singing loudly and quite heavily petting, which made us and the other guests a little uncomfortable. It's about a 15 or 20 minute walk to the nearest tube station.

A small table and chair to sit for snacks would be nice

We stayed in a high floor suite. The room was spacious and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and pillows super soft. The room was tidied up daily, as were towels changed. The location was fantastic, in a beautiful and clean neighborhood, close to plenty of restaurants, a market, and a mall.

The only hiccup I had during my stay was on the last day. I had given the day receptionist a few ice packs to keep in their freezer, as I would be traveling later that night with medication that needed to be kept chilled during my 10 hour flight. When I came for the ice packs at night, the night receptionist could not locate them… finally, after waking a hotel employee from daytime shift, they were able to locate it… but unfortunately the ice packs had not been kept in the freezer as per my instruction, they were kept in the fridge, thus were not frozen, just chilled… this minor inconvenience delayed me 30 minutes for my departure to the airport.

I was expecting to get one of the best room suite in the hotel but this time was different than all previous booking 1 the suite had only one bathroom 2 no balcony 3 sleeping room is on the rail rood side which make it not quite 4 No hand tissue in the room 5. Drainage of water in the shower and the hand wash was not fluent, we asked for repair but it was the same after repairing. I expected to have better accommodation when I booked a suite but it turn out no difference from other rooms expect bigger area.

Location Staff

Modern and stylish hotel with good facilities and welcoming staff. We were only in London briefly for an appointment but the staff were accommodating and understanding of our requirements. The reception area and bar was pleasant. The room was spacious and stylish, with an excellent bathroom with both a shower and a bath. There was a good range of television channels in the room including sports channels. Location was excellent for the Chelsea, Kensington and Battersea neighbourhoods. 2 nice parks nearby, and good transport links for buses and trains. Spa and wellness facilities available, although we did not have time to use these.
