Beautiful old hotel from the middle of the 19th century, once a school and hospital where Alan Turing was born. The hotel has several floors, the magnificent suites are on the second floor and can be reached by a historic elevator. To get to the upper rooms, you have to do some exercise by climbing the stairs, but you are rewarded with a view over the area. Most of the rooms are quite spacious, the beds are very comfortable and there are fridges in many rooms. The attached Persian restaurant is fine and has a bright, flowery atmosphere. It also serves as a breakfast room for hotel guests. The continental breakfast is also fine, the full English breakfast is delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and motivated to help with any problems that may arise. The room service does a great job and everything is very clean. The hotel is just around the corner from Warwick Avenue station on the Bakerloo line and the great “Little Venice” neighborhood. There is a lovely little street behind the hotel with restaurants, a café and some stores as well as a well known pub. Thanks to the friendly staff, I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

The ground floor rooms can be a bit gloomy and the upstairs rooms may suffer from low hot water pressure. Despite the lousy burnt coffee, the breakfast is good. I cannot agree with the many negative reviews! Please don't listen to people who want to stay cheaply but then complain about the basic breakfast, worn furniture edges and unfilled drill holes. You should realize that this is not a brand new or freshly renovated facility. Yes, it could do with a makeover, and some investment could be made. But it has a romantic ambience, the location is great and it is certainly value for money.

Clean, spacious room. Lovely personel, who even helped me to get my luggage to my room! There is an AC, which was great. Location is awesome, just a 2 minute walk to the Bakerloo line. It is also possible to walk everywhere (which I did). With just a 45 minute walk, you will be in Sheperd's Bush. 25 minutes to get to Notting Hill, 30 minutes to Oxford Street.

The water strength is poor, was tough to rinse my hair. If you are washing your hair, your body will be cold of lack of water. Same for the sink, poor stream. I didn't mind, but if you are less mobile, getting up to the 4th floor will be a challenge, the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, the 4th floor can only be reached by the stairs.

The room was beautiful. Very elegant and comfortable four-poster bed and lots of period furnishings. Lovely balcony and view and nice touches like the box of different teas. The wifi worked well, breakfast was basic but perfectly reasonable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, 50 yards from the tube and just around the corner are some lovely pubs and cafes.

For me, everything was great. If you are looking for a corporate standard hotel, where everything is tick-box perfect and in the place you expect, and the shower pressure is always high, then this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a hotel with history, character, with beautiful and eclectic authentic period rooms, in a great location, and very well priced, then I'd suggest you give this gem a try.

Having Autism the large windows flooded the room with natural light. Furthermore, there are both bedside lamps and floor lamp for those with sensory issues/ like to have ambience. Spacious floor space so you don't feel confined. Good size sink and shelf area to place bathroom products. Plug sockets by the bed. Proper size kettle and fridge. TV with a good range of channels Ryan and Sanna were friendly and helpful, addressing any issue that arrose. Quietly situated in a residential area, walking distance to Paddington but Bakerloo line nearby. Lovely coffee /bar room with wall mural and greenery and well upholstered furniture.

The reviews I read for this hotel on Booking.com are a little harsh, in my opinion. However, I can only speak from my experience. Yes, there may be a few areas of the hotel which could do with a lick of paint or a change of the wallpaper, but overall, I had an excellent experience and I would happily recommend this hotel to friends and family. The style, feel and comfort of the hotel outweigh the few minor cosmetic improvements which I'm sure the staff are already aware of. The rooms and beds (I met friends there who were also very happy) were clean and comfortable. A minute walk from Warwick Avenue tube station.

I can't fault this hotel. I would happily stay here again. A few minor cosmetic improvements may be needed, but these are not something which niggle me personally.

Excellent service, with very friendly and helpful staff, particularly the evening team on the front desk and restaurant/bar. I was very kindly upgraded, to a stunning and luxurious room - possibly one of the best hotel rooms that I’ve ever stayed in! The hotel itself is very clean, charming and in a brilliant, central location with easy access to plenty of London attractions and train stations etc. Overall, 10/10 for such a quality hotel that offers great value! Highly recommended!

The staff were accommodating, swapping us to a different room as the air conditioning in ours wasn't working. The breakfast was unexciting but adequate. The building is very grand, with matching dated interior, but it was pleasant enough and the four poster bed gave it an opulent feel. The room was clean and comfortable. If you are expecting everything to be modern, bright and perfect, you may be disappointed, but for the price and location, this hotel is ideal.

I was at a work event until later than I had anticipated and booked this hotel last minute- honestly, it was because it was the cheapest option (£70 for the night) that had an en suite bathroom and I didn’t fancy sharing! I realise I got a last minute ‘deal’ but my goodness this hotel was lovely! A beautiful period property. The person on the front desk was FANTASTIC. I called to say I was arriving late to check that was ok- all fine. He then upgraded me to a suite free of charge. Room was huge, bed was on a mezzanine and very comfortable and bathroom was very spacious and modern. Honestly couldn’t fault it and was a LOT cheaper than Travelodge.

Not sure if there is a lift? I would hope there is, but I was on the first floor anyway so didn’t bother me that much.

Stayed over for one night for a Noah Kahan concert on valentines and was the most romantic place I've ever been! Basement bar looked gorgeous, chocolatiere and florist shop 30 second walk, very convenient corner shop and small beautiful array of restaurants. For one night, 2 of us, £89 (which was a bargain and a half!) We were upgraded to the garden suite! Most gorgeous stunning reception and gorgeous room and windows and curtains and a mini fridge! AC was very welcomed as the room was so cosy and bathroom gorgeous

I would not call the toiletries "luxury" and in the evening there was a slightly unsociable reception staff
