Perfect location for me plus I was on 5th floor so really cosy in the ‘eaves’ which helped me to wind down

They took my driving licence to copy - never had that in a hotel before and I stay in London regularly. Concerns me as to where that info is. Also I’d paid day before via Booking.com but yet was asked for payment again on check in!

The location is excellent… it’s literally a minute from Paddington tube and rail and super bus connections at the doorstep. The staff are very warm and welcoming and they were kind enough to give me a very generous late check out. My bathroom was leaking into the reception so they changed my room to a higher category. Rooms are very decently sized for London and have comfortable beds. Good [email protected] kettle and tea things in the room. Bathroom was good sized and worked well. All in all was a great value stay in absolute central London.

Breakfast could have been much better. They give you coupons to have a set breakfast in the connected cafe but the breakfast spread could definitely be better. The lighting in the room could be improved. The standard rooms don’t come with bathrobes, slippers or toiletries like dental kits etc which for a four star hotel should be given in all room categories. No doorman to help with bags ( quite a few steps from street level) difficult with heavy luggage. Again, for a hotel of this standard I felt this should have been there.

The room was small but ok for the purposes, if there were two people it would be too small I think unless you are very close. Location was perfect and is the main reason apart from the staff that I choose this hotel. Staff are amazing, all the front desk staff could not be more helpful.

Breakfast was a bit repetitive and the eggs were tasteless so I ended up choosing to get McDonalds most of the days I was there. I remember it being much better when I visited back in 2019 I believe it was so it could be a sign of the times.

Our recent stay at Mercure London Paddington was a delightful experience, made even better by the exceptional service provided by the staff. Zak and Claudiu, in particular, stood out with their warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring that every need was met with genuine care. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with all amenities functioning perfectly. The attention to detail in cleanliness and upkeep was impressive, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. Having stayed at several Mercure hotels, this one ranks among the best we’ve experienced. If given the chance, we would absolutely return without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting London!

Standard room is little bit cramped, but for the location it worth the price.

I booked a small double room for one night and it was ideal for what I needed. Comfortable room with a compact but nice bathroom.

The hotel was lovely and the reception staff were lovely. The only feedback I would give is that there was what I presume was a housekeeping supply cupboard just outside my room and there were staff there early in the morning, maybe 7 or 8, and were talking rather loudly which woke me up. Fortunately I was due to get up in the next 45 mins or so but if there were any guests hoping for some quiet, they might have been disturbed.

My second stay at this hotel and it represents superb value and great location, right next door to Paddington Station. The room was more than comfortable - huge for London really. The hotel gives thoughtful little touches such as complimentary chocolates and drinks in the room. Overall excellent value and stay. Thanks once again.

Room was an internal room, so no outside window (just an inner light well). For me this is quite disconcerting. The breakfast is in a restaurant chain next door so I decided to skip this to do my own thing. The lift as usual in London is very small and juddery.

Location to Paddington. Size of the room. Bar fridge and kettle plus coffee machine. Toweling gowns and slippers. Good size soft towels. Good TV. Great aircon. Good housekeeping. Witek was very helpful to my son. The door man was very polite. Keeping our luggage after checkout until our flight. A positive end to our UK trip.

The shower/bath and water knobs are difficult to work out and to turn. The shower gel bottle was empty.

The staff at Mercure Paddington is exceptional! I made an arrangement for a parcel to be delivered. The staff manning the booking.com chat was prompt and precise in taking care of the arrangement! I made a call before arrival and the staff answering the call was attentive and friendly to assist me. Throughout my stay the staff was hospitable and welcoming. The facilities: I stayed in the corner double room unit. The room is freshly furnished and cleaned! There are complimentary drinks in the fridge too. The room is small not much moving around space, yet it is well stocked with iron, ironing board, luggage rack... Very handy for my need. Location: It is super easy to travel around with Paddington station next to it. There is plenty of food option around. The beautiful Hyde park is just a stroll away. I had a pleasant stay!

Could hear the faint sound of the train early in the morning (6 am onwards), didn't bother me much though.
