We were pleasantly surprised - and relieved - after reading a few negative reviews. If you use the right exit from Paddington, this hotel is directly across the road and diagonally opposite McDonalds on the corner. A great position, and excellent value. Our double room was larger than some in London, the ensuite was small but perfectly adequate; plenty of hot water, clean towels and linen. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. We would certainly recommend it to travellers.

The building is old, but that did not detract from the cleanliness. There is no lift, but we found the one flight of stairs no problem (and we are both in our 80s!)

The room was really nice and spacious, really clean with very comfy beds. The view from the window was great. The location of the hotel was fantastic, paddington stations was across the road and the london tour bus stopped across the street.also there was so many places to eat very near to the hotel.the staff were really friendly and helpful.will definitely be staying again.

I could see Paddington Station from my window, windows open, many shops restaurants, pubs, laundry close walk. Safe, clean, simple room. Key access to lobby and key to room. All hour access. Good email communication. Was able to leave luggage in morning and check in later.

I did not mind steep stairs, but someone with physical difficulties might.

Location was perfect, just across Paddington station which was really helpful. Comfortable stay. Portable heater was very useful especially now during winter season. Left my luggage after my checkout which was really helpful so I was still able to go around London on my last day and just came back for it in the evening.

Property a bit old and no lift but I am still happy at my stay. Nothing else to complain about.

We had a short stay and the location was very accessible to our main destination in the city. We had no issues checking in and checking out. And the room had all the amenities we needed as well as being affordable.

The major issue we had was due to there having an ongoing construction nearby which was still happening despite it being midnight, there was a lot of drilling and construction noises. Our room was also by a busy street with lots of people and vehicles making a lot of noise which the room itself could not keep out or dampen. This meant we did not sleep well at all.

Very convenient for Paddington station, basic and clean albeit a little shabby round the edges, but for the price good value. A towel, bar of lux soap and tea & coffee making facilities are provided.

Bathroom floor is tiled, and is like a ice rink when wet so a bathmat needs to be provided to prevent slips. I turned my ankle getting out of the shower, it could have been prevented with a mat.

The location is first class, just across the road from Paddington Station which makes getting anywhere you need to go a breeze. Facilities are basic but clean and comfortable, and the staff are always very friendly. My go to hotel for whenever I travel to London!

Central location. A lot of restaurants, stores, underground in the area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds Complementary instant coffee and tea with an electric kettle.

Small bathroom. Fixed shower, no shower gel or shampoo provided, just small soap bars. No wardrobe

You get what you pay for. It was a great price, so its not the most luxurious hotel. But it is perfectly adequate. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is amazing. It's just a room to sleep in, and if thats all you want/need then this place is for you. We keep coming back.

The room and facilities are getting slightly old and dated. But everything works and the bed was comfortable.

This is a budget hotel, very affordable and in a fantastic location right next to Paddington station. The hotel could use a renovation, but then the price would go up too, so be careful what you wish for. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and a narrow staircase to go upstairs, so not suitable for people who can't carry their luggage up a flight of stairs. The room had old furniture and fittings but everything was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The hotel is so close to Paddington station that you can hear the platform announcements through the window. The trains do not run during the night so for me there was no problem to sleep despite of this. I was there in November and they provided a small space heater to warm the room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a great stay and would stay there again.

Some people will struggle to carry their luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator. The furniture and fittings in the room are old and may look stained.
