quick check-in / check-out, 24h open reception, very helpful and welcoming staff, small touches like overall cosy interior design, compact and clean room with provided TV, hairdryer, two towels, hand soap; sink with mirror above and full length mirror on the door in the room; location close to the bus stop ( both going to the hotel and from the hotel ); vending machine with canned soda and small snacks, coffee machine, additionally possibility to make some instant coffee on the way to rooms; shared bathroom is clean, hair and body wash provided.

The only downside for some people might be lack of an elevator or having a shared one bathroom that is on the 4th floor as well, got the impression that corridors at some points might be a bit too narrow for some bigger luggage.

The room (and bathroom) had a really good size and were conveniently located on the ground floor. Additionally, free drinking water (even sparkling) was available so we did not need to buy any water.

No new towels were provided throughout the stay and the rooms were not cleaned throughout the duration of the stay as well.

Very lovely staff, always welcoming and smiling. The room was apparently refurbished quite recently, because the bathroom was very modern and the room itself also quite fresh. And big compared to many other hotelrooms in London! The location of the hotel could not be any better; just a few steps from the underground station (Paddington) and many breakfast -options nearby.

Some sort of shelf or a table in the bathroom would be nice since now there is no place to put your things. Also a mini fridge in the room would be super, especially 'cos the hotel does not have a restaurant or even breakfast. Light sleepers might be disturbed by the noise of trains going just beneath the hotel, but for me it was just part of the charm. The bed was comfy but the pillow was too flat to my taste. Luckily there was one extra pillow in the room!

The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and available 24/7. We received a warm welcome at reception and the room was easy to find. Paddington station is only a couple minute's walk away, making travel to all areas of London easy and convenient, and there are many great locations around Paddington itself. Though we ended up not taking advantage, the staff also advised us that we were allowed to order food to the hotel.

Room was slightly smaller than expected, and the bathroom door was a foldable one with no lock which felt like it did not provide the most privacy. However, considering the price the room felt entirely adequate, and the door allowed for the most space to be retained, so it is a compromise I was happy to make.

So far the best hotel I have stayed in London. Really clean, great location, well-equiped. We stayed on the ground or even -1 floor. But if this makes you think of a windowless dark cell, you are wrong- it was coziest room with exit to small private garden. We had plenty of towels, always changed and fresh. Beautifyl surroundings with "Little Venice" and perfect connections.

Yes, but. Since we stayed litlle bit below ground level we could hear underground sounds. So I know that Bakerloo line starts at 5 am. :) But note that I am hyper sensitive sleeper. And even for me the sounds were like exotic lullabies and not a distruction. The overhead shower is another thing you just need to be prepared to face. But this is a thing everywhere in London.

The location, kind staff, comfy beds and new towels everyday and bin change! I also liked how it was kind of old style e.g. the keys being keys not key cards!

The rumbling/shaking every few minutes didn’t realise it was going to be as bad it wasn’t terrible I slept through it but my mum said it kept her up. But I know that can’t be helped. Also the top bunk bed I think the headboard was dusty but just slept other side. Also if u want a coffee maybe use your own travel cup as from the machine a latte was over £2 and the cup was tiny. But there is free coffee and tea upstairs but only oat milk.

A very cosy small hotel. I am rating it as 10 out of 10, The price fully matches the quality. I would even say that the hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a superior room with a balcony, and I highly recommend choosing one with a balcony. The rooms are very small but incredibly stylish and cozy, and on top of that, they have been recently renovated. Everything is beautifully detailed - the fireplace, the shutters on the windows are not only stylish but also effectively block out daylight, which is very important for me while sleeping. The beds are comfortable. There is no hairdryer in the room, but you can request one at the reception, as well as an iron. Also there is a water cooler with still and sparkling water at the reception. The staff is simply excellent - everyone is very polite and helpful! The location is just fantastic! The metro is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and we could reach almost all the main attractions on a direct metro line. Plus, Paddington Station is very convenient for trips to Oxford, etc. Our 10-day stay was just wonderful - we felt right at home.

single was small but absolutely perfect for someone travelling alone - lots of little areas that I could spread my belongings out. Window opened for fresh air if needed. Bed was extremely comfy. Shared bathroom small but I never crossed paths with anyone else using it so no issues. Room felt safe. Sink in room was convenient for brushing teeth, washing face etc. Would definitely stay again!

In London for a theatre overnighter travelling from and to South Wales. The location is perfect for Paddington Station .. literally across the road in a quiet green area and easy to find as I arrived on a dark evening. Excellent prior communication via email re booking in and facilities ..so just collected key!! Quirky old building with character Room was tiny but warm, comfortable with really white linen and towels. Spotlessly clean TV on wall and free WiFi Hot shower .. lovely smelling in house shower gel Hot drinks, snacks and drinking water fountain in reception Lovely friendly helpful staff. There was some rumbling from trains ... expected for location but being high up it didn't bother me.. and there was no road noise. Good value .. I would definitely stay again x

My room was on the 4th floor up very narrow stairs (possibly servant quarters in bygone days!) Not really a problem for me as I travelled light with a backpack but could be a problem with a suitcase!! I would have appreciated a kettle and a mug for hot drinks especially in the morning (I always carry coffee sachets so just a kettle is sufficient). Being 4 floors up this reasonably fit 73 year old didn't fancy trotting down and back up those stairs in pj's after settling for the evening!!

The location is great - close to metro station and walking distance to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, etc. The hotel is relatively nice and very clean. Staff is friendly and supportive. I would definitely recommend :)

The convenience could be better - missing lift (even though it is understandable in the old buildings) and more hangers/shelves in the room & bathroom (this would increase the convenience so much and costs nothing!) Also, why do we need to leave the key at the reception in 2024? And clean the room & exchange towels daily? There should be an option to opt-out from everyday service.
