The room was insanely clean, you could literally smell how clean it was! The bed was very comfortable and the linen clean and soft. A lot of complimentary amenities - coffee machine AND milk foamer, robes and slippers, chips, cookies etc - plus a lot of nice little touches here and there - warm towels anyone? The staff was amazingly kind and welcoming. We had also dinner at the pub we recommend it, food was delicious and the atmosphere very cosy! it's conveniently located and very quiet at night. Plus it has an amazing style! Can't wait to come back ❤️

The Hayden Pub & Rooms provided a cozy 6-night stay, with easy access to Notting Hill restaurants & transportation. We had two brunches at the pub & another meal--all excellent & reasonably priced. Our flight arrived in late morning & the manager, Duarte, kindly prepared cappuccinos for us as we checked in. We were able to check in early & Duarte insisted on carrying our bags up the stairs to our room. Our room was spacious & clean, as was the bath, and there were plenty of outlets for charging our various devices. For anyone who thinks staying above a pub might be too noisy, I assure you it was very quiet. Also, the pub is not like an American bar with a dozen TV screens---it was a more upscale experience (no TVs) with comfortable seating, excellent food & friendly efficient service. I highly recommend the Hayden Pub & Rooms & would not hesitate to return.

A really great welcome from George with a couple of welcome drinks on the house. Our room was ready even though we arrived early for check in which was an added bonus. Great sized room, so clean, with king size bed, bath, shower, coffee machine, snacks, also complementary water and chocolate in the fridge. We also got a great discount on drinks in the pub which had a great atmosphere particularly in the evening. George also stored our luggage for us and he gave us good tips for getting around London. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thanks George.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The rooms were lovely and the bed and pillows were comfy. Our room had a window that you could open with a view over the rooftops which was a bonus as we could get fresh air. The bathroom was good with a large shower. The staff were so friendly and helpful, carried out luggage up and down to our room. The meals in the pub were delicious and good drinks. Husband had the best hamburger of his life! It was a great location and we were able to walk to Portobello Road, Paddington Station and Kensington Palace and gardens. The buses were just across the road. Such a fabulous place!!!

Not much. The stairs were very steep but it’s an old building so to be expected.

The staff (Orsi, George and Duarte)were naturally kind and exceptionally helpful—from my earliest questions when planning my trip to giving great advice the 4 nights I stayed there. The bathroom was spacious and spotless and the A/C was a lifesaver as London had temps of 90 degrees F while I was there. The location was in the middle of so much yet rooms were quiet and sleep easy

The stairs up to the room were steep and winding—ok for me but difficult for my friend who has bad knees

Excellent stay, staff so helpful and very friendly....lovely touch with a welcome drink, and carried our cases up to our room. we was able to park right outside and pay by phone for up to 4 hrs on the Friday 1430-1830 then free until 0830 Saturday morning....then paid another 4 hours. Easy walking distance to Bayswater tube or walk down to Kensington park/Hyde Park for a lovely stroll. Food was lovely in the pub as well. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again thank you

the most amazing staff who appeared as our taxi from the Eurostar pulled up! A free drink at the bar while they took our luggage upstairs was just lovely! The room was so cute and although small (it is London!) was decorated beautifully with nice touches like free bottled water and chocolate. Bed was really comfortable. All round great stay with fabulous bar food!

Lighting on the stairs up and down to the room was insufficient (for some reason more so down rather than up! Be prepared stairs are going to be part of your life t this property!

Beautiful pub close to wonderful restaurants and walking distance to bus stops and tube stations. Quiet and safe area. Wonderful host who are very accommodating. They stored our luggage when we arrived early and took our luggage to our rooms when the room was ready. The pub food is exceptional and with large portion’s. Everyone was friendly. We would 100% stay here again our next trip to London. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My husband was skeptical about staying above a busy pub but after looking at the reviews we decided to give this place a try and it was excellent. From the initial greeting that included a beverage of your choice - you are at a pub - to the very kind assistance with luggage and introduction to our lovely room all went according to plan. The room was very comfortable, very well appointed (there is even a milk frother for coffee), bath robes, nice linens and large fluffy towels. Nice bathroom with large shower. We were on the highest floor and had no noise from the pub which is very popular and does get quite lively in the evening. We also enjoyed two meals at the pub with great food and very generous portions - additionally they offer room guests a discount on food and drinks. The staff were especially notable for their hospitality.

Unfortunately they do have lots of stairs with no lift. They did carry all our luggage up to the room and we had no issues but if you have mobility problems this would not be a good fit.

Loved the vibe of staying over a pub. The rooms were spotless, and the staff is attentive. Our room was serviced every day. Also the food they serve is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If stairs are difficult for you, be aware they are part of the experience. We were able to navigate them without any difficulty except when our super early departure required some extra work to get everything to street level.
