Great place to stay for a busy long weekend in London. Close to underground station. Excellent location with restaurants, cafes and food shops right around the corner, and only a ten minute walk to places such as central Notting Hill or Kensington Palace.

Breakfast was very sparse so we didn’t end up eating there, but for a busy trip it didn’t really impact our stay.

Recently renovated and extremely clean. Rooms are well appointed and equipped. Nice toiletries in the bathrooms. Hotel let’s you store luggage before and after your stay begins. Close to good restaurants and easy walking distance to tourist spots.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing with lots of pre- packaged items such as biscuits. Not worth £14 per head.

I really enjoyed my staying at The 55. We'd been in touch before my arrival and the hotel provided everything what I asked for. I also got the room earlier than the check-in time. I truly appreciated that. The staff there is the nicest. I also love how the interior of the building was updated and how the room looks which is also comfortable as it has a small fridge, closet corner, quite spacious bathroom. The area is calm and very convienent to explore London. Lots of shops, cafes and easy access to public transport. I hope to stay there again!

My room is described as suitable for 2 but it really isn't because of the bed. The bed is not wide enough for 2 and is also short. I didn't mind as I'm not tall and I was there alone but if you are 1m75 or more the bed will be too short (they called it 'british standard' but I'm pretty sure you are allowed to be tall in the UK). The Wifi could work better because sometimes it wasn't working at all.

A great hotel at an appropriate price. Being London, we expected a cosy room and, although it was, we weren't climbing over each other to move around. It was very quiet, with no outside noise, the bed was nice and firm, the bathroom was bright and a good size, and the room was well soundproofed from noise by other guests. Breakfast choices were numerous, very good quality as well, and a coffee machine was available all day. A lovely garden area as well in which you could relax any time of day. All the staff were wonderful. Huge thanks to Hassan and the rest of the team! Bayswater and Queensway tube stations are only 5 minutes away, and the area of Bayswater itself near the hotel is very nice indeed.

We have stayed in this hotel for the 3rd or 4th time already and it is always great. The staff is so nice and friendly. The rooms were nice. The location is also very central and convenient to explore London. The shower is nice. Nearby you can find lots of cafés in restaurants in walking distance as well as different bus lines and underground lines (Bayswater and Queensway).

I just think as someone who booked the Executive room, the cleaning staff should pay more attention to dust and also to fill in more complimentary snacks everyday when they see something is missing. Same also for vanity kits.

Good location near two underground stations so you have a choice of different lines to take to get around the city. The room was a good size, the bed was a little small but was comfortable, the amenities were satisfactory and the water pressure was also good. The staff were friendly and helpful with queries and suggestions. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as the £17pp seemed a little steep. We managed to eat breakfast in local cafes, coffee shops, etc for for much less I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

A very nice hotel. Near nothing hill, this hotel is in a relatively quiet area. Within two blocks you walk from the hotel to the tube and have good connections to the rest of London. The major tourist attractions are around 20 minutes away from here. People are very friendly. It was also no trouble at all to receive the luggage earlier and also collect it later. The rooms seem to have been renovated very recently. The Only downside was that the hair cream rinse was installed at the sink instead of the shower. Upon leaving, we reported this and they went to exchange it. The bed was a bit too small(too short) for us Dutchies but it was definitely doable for a short city break. Next to the bed there was a USB plug on both sides to charge the phone. The whole room was fire clean. Clean and fresh linen and ditto towels. And the hotel had free coffee/tea and free water in the fridge. Price-quality ratio was more than excellent. Highly recommended for a city break in London.

The hotel exudes a charming old-world beauty from the outside, and its interior is equally impressive! It has a delightful charm that feels very welcoming. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful at any time of the day. We particularly loved the opportunity to enjoy free coffee or tea from the kitchen whenever we wanted. The location was undoubtedly the best aspect of the hotel—just a four-minute walk to the Bayswater Underground station and nestled in a beautiful neighborhood. I will definitely be back next time I’m in London.

The breakfast was a little bit minimal. It was okay tho just not too much to choose from but you can definitely make it work.

So clean and comfortable. Lovely towels and toiletries. Hassan evening receptionist was absolutely golden. He sorted out issue caused by trainee receptionist earlier in the day.

Got bit confused because trainee receptionist wasn’t clear about our booking and emails I’d received from hotel earlier in week.

The hotel is in a good location, just a couple of mins walk to the Bayswater station. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within 2 mins. For Muslims, there's plenty of halal restaurants too. There's also parking nearby (not free) but not part of the hotel. The guys at the front desk are polite, friendly and helpful. The room is big for London standard. We have a queen bed plus a sofa bed for the son. There's a desk and a small armchair. Very comfy for 3 of us. It's quiet at night. The bathroom is good sized as well but the shower area could be bigger. Good shower gel and shampoo are provided. Normally I'd use my own but didn't even touch them while staying at the hotel. Room is clean. The minibar is totally free! The fridge is stocked with soft drinks and juices and they are free too. Plenty of water given too. So generous! Really highly recommended.

There is a hand spray for which we are very grateful but it is rather difficult to use it as you need to use a lot of strength to press it. Other than that, everything else about the hotel is wonderful.
