The room was spectacularly good. Very large, very comfortable, very quiet, very well equipped kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, cooker & toaster. The bathroom was also really great and it was nice to have a balcony with a decent view. The staff were all very polite and helpful.

The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast buffet. The hot buffet only had a few 'cheap' options such as hash browns and baked beans. The sausages were not the best, nor was the bacon. The egg choice was firm scrambled or firm omelette. There were no fried eggs, or mushrooms, or tomatoes, or black pudding etc that are essential features of a 'good' full English IMHO. Also the fancy looking fruit juice machine dispensed juice-flavoured water (concentrate with added water) rather than fresh juice. If this breakfast was served at a Travel Lodge I was say that it was fine, but given how spectacularly good the rest of the hotel was, it really did feel like a major let down.

Such a cosy and lovely hotel! The room was very spacious and had so much storage space as well as lounging space. Lots of plugs, great decor and vibes and a very comfy mattress. The bathroom was also fantastic with a heated mirror and fantastic shower. If you’re going to Co-op Live, this is the perfect hotel for you as it’s the closest out of all the city centre ones and within an easy walking distance.

The pillows in the room did feel a bit too soft for someone who loves a firm pillow - I haven’t checked if other pillows were available upon request so this may have been avoided. The breakfast wasn’t the best, the bacon was overcooked and burnt so very hard to even pick up with a fork or cut through, and hash browns were stale. Sausage was the best part!

Best service from Maggie at reception and all the staff who go the extra mile to make customers happy. The rooms are spacious, clean and had everything I needed. Organic teas and sustainable toiletries were a nice touch. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in a great location not far from Picaddily Station and the NQ. You can go for a walk by the canal and also access the city easily on foot too. The standard room is fine for two guests and has a super comfy bed and pillows. The breakfast was nice too and was stocked up well throughout the morning. However, I'd recommend going down earlier and avoiding peak times.

The gym has modern cardio machines and a decent selection of weights, which is great. However, it would be even better if there were more than one bench available for use. It would also be convenient to have a toilet located closer to the gym, as it’s currently in the basement and guests have to go up to the reception area to use the facilities. Additionally, we noticed some drilling noise in the morning due to construction work next to the building, which disrupted my sleep on one of the days.

I liked that the unit was larger than a hotel room and had a small kitchen area. The breakfast room staff were friendly and helpful. The unit was clean.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The pillows were lumpy and the bed sagged at the edge. There was a lot of construction noise from work going on beside the building and, as each floor was open to outside at either end and middle courtyard, it could be noisy. No warning when booking that there was major construction adjacent to building. The unit I was allocated faced onto the delivery yard of the retail park opposite so I was wakened at 5am every day by Aldi lorries delivery goods. There was a strange smell in the unit so I had to buy diffusers to overpower it.

Pawel was super helpful and friendly when booking us in and further helped us to arrange transport to the arena. The complimentary toiletries were good quality and had a clean and refreshing smell. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable, giving us a great night's sleep. Despite being close to the busy road, we didn't hear any traffic. There was enough variety for breakfast. The room key was made of wood instead of plastic and the room had a bin to separate recyclable materials. Plenty of parking close by. Right next door to a supermarket.

Only room for improvement in our opinion was that the breakfast area layout was a bit awkward, it didn't provide the most efficient flow of people. The hot tap to make cups of tea, was difficult to use. I couldn't get any boiling water out, so decided to leave my morning cup of tea. Little packs of biscuits would have been a nice addition.

We booked as a group of 5 therefore needed 2 rooms and requested them close together. On arrival we were informed that this wasn't able to be fulfilled but we didn't mind. We were offered extra keys and received a bucket of ice as we requested. This was really helpful to us. No parking onsite but a pay and display carpark literally around the corner so not far to carry luggage. We had breakfast in the price but I can't comment on it as we didn't go down for it. The place was stunning, immaculate and clean. It was quiet and had everything we needed in the rooms. We were able to connect our TV through Bluetooth to play what we wanted. In one room there was a sofa bed laid out ready for our friends which saved us the hassle of doing ourselves. Staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling.

Absolutely nothing

The room was very large and modern, fitted with all the comfort and amenities we needed. We only stayed for one night after a concert at the Co-op live, but when we entered the room felt a bit sad it wasn't a longer stay. I could definitely see myself staying there comfortably for a week, or even longer if I were travelling in the area for business. The studio was divided between the kitchen/lounge area with a mini fridge, microwave oven, induction hobs, a sofa and a little table with two chairs. Then past the sizeable bathroom and big wardrobe, the sleeping area with a king bed, desk and blackout curtains.

If I were to be nitpicky, a stronger light in the bathroom for makeup would be ideal. Also, maybe a reduced rate on nearby parking options, £18 night for the citipark is a lot, especially as it is not really a top-notch parking.

On arrival we were upgraded to both a complimentary early check in and room upgrade! Diviya went above and beyond to make sure we were well informed about the hotel and checked us in efficiently. Our room was lovely and spacious (queen studio) we had everything we needed such as teas, coffee, shower washes etc. The bed was unbelievably comfy and we had the best night sleep ever! The hotel has a 24/7 coffee machine which was fab & at breakfast there was a good variety of food, it remained well stocked and was hot! Would 100% stay here again.

The only downside to our room was that the views from the window was just construction site (no fault of the hotel itself) other than that it is a lovely value for money hotel!!

Really handy location, 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station. Slightly out of the centre but within walking distance. The rooms were comfy and had a separate seating area with kitchen appliances. The breakfast was good, but extremely busy. Provided vegan sausages on request. Staff were extremely kind and excellent customer service. The hotel will look after your bags on the checkout day until you are ready to return home.

Marks on walls and some mould in shower, nothing too bad though. Looks like soon in need of a quick refurb. Lots of construction work around, but the rooms were quiet.
