We received a warm welcome on our arrival and we were lucky this time to have room 7 which is normally always unavailable, room 7 overlooks Wybunbury Moss, it was bright and comfortable and has lovely views and a bath tub to soak in after a long walk. We ate at the pub on both nights, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals were very good and the portions were huge!! There is plenty of outdoor seating and also a lovely beer garden to relax in after a meal An excellent breakfast was served with a smile each morning by Ron. This is our 5th visit to The Swan Inn but it has been a while since our last stay , we will not leave it too long to our next visit.

🌟 “A Perfect Stay with a Soulful Surprise!” 🌟 ★★★★★ From the moment we arrived at The Swan Inn, we knew we were in for something special. Every element of our stay was exceptional. The rooms were absolutely spot on—impeccably clean, cosy yet spacious, and styled with a tasteful eye that echoed the Inn’s timeless character. The bar and restaurant were equally impressive, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a cracking menu that kept us coming back for more. But what truly sets The Swan Inn apart is its colonial oldie-worldie décor—thoughtfully curated down to the finest detail. Each nook and cranny told a story, like stepping back in time but with all the modern comforts you could ask for. And then… just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, a surprise Northern Soul party broke out in the car park. What a night! Absolute bangers spinning through the evening, arms in the air and smiles all around. The cherry on top? Dancing under the stars to Frankie Valli’s “The Night” as it brought the house down. Pure magic. An unforgettable stay. We’re already planning our return.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Yet another superb stay in Room 1 as requested. Can not commend the Staff enough yesterday when they were so busy all day due to the Fig Pie Race. Professional, efficient and never stopped smiling and having a laugh! Brilliant service. Food and drink as ever spot on including the outside burger set up provided for the event. Mel as usual always so lovely and can't do enough for you. This time we actually got to meet the lovely cleaner she worked so hard yesterday from working on the burger stall to offering to even help with our luggage. Another lovely member of Staff who has time for a chat and a laugh. If you haven't stayed here before you are seriously missing a treat. We will be back again asap. Thankyou Mel, Ian and all Staff for making it an amazing day and stay!

Having to come home!

A lovely village pub, not too far from the motorway & in the area we wanted to stop ahead of a busy week catching up with friends & relatives. The pub itself was very typical of a village pub, which we loved. The food was lovely & freshly cooked, particularly our breakfast! We were a bit concerned about earplugs provided by our bed. However, it was due to the adjacent church tower, which rang the hour, quarter & half hours!! But it didn't bother us, as I think it only rang the hour during the night ; it didn't seem that loud (background noise unless you're a light sleeper, which my husband is!)

The rooms were fine & very snug, but could do with updating, particularly the bathroom.

Our room was located in converted stable blocks. They were self contained, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The delicious breakfast in the morning is cooked freshly by a wonderful, helpful guy called Ron if I remember correctly (sorry if I’ve got that wrong!) He was lovely to talk to and very knowledgeable. He directed us to an antiques place just up the road from the Swan Inn as we’d loved all of the quirky trinkets that have been collected by the owners in the pub itself! You will not regret staying here! It’s one of the most beautiful pubs I’ve been to! Thank you Swann Inn. We can’t wait to come back!

The pub was amazing, friendly and good food. Location in the centre of the small village is great, with lovely countryside surrounding - nice walks straight from the pub. Room clean and warm, well laid out.

Breakfast great value for meat eaters (sausage, bacon and black pudding) but over priced for vegetarian as all the meat is exchanged for 2 x veggie sausages :( dont get me wrong - it was lovely but not the same value - bacon, sausage and black pudding swapped for veggie sausage for the same price is a bit much. Would have been nice to have had mugs in the rooms instead of small tea cups (we did ask but none available)

Very friendly service for booking in, dinner and drinks, breakfast and checkout. The garden room (room 7) accommodation was lovely, warm, nicely decorated with a stunning view and the bathroom was spacious with a bath and a shower. Please note this room is at the end of the block and other rooms will differ, certainly in terms of view. A kettle, tea, coffee, hairdryer and hand/shower wash are provided. The pub itself is quirky and charming, we enjoyed dinner there and the full English breakfast was good and substantial, I am sure you could request something smaller to suit. We found it a very quiet and peaceful place to stay overnight, the much mentioned church clock does mark the passing of time, but did not disturb our sleep. We would happily book again.

Very minor gripe, the plug sockets by the bedside (and mirror) can't accommodate the 'collar' at the base of most plugs. Be careful not to rely on them charging your phone! Please note we stayed for one night, mid-week during snow and freezing temperatures so it may not always be so quiet if the lovely pub garden is busy or if the rooms are all booked, but I am sure it will always be as welcoming.

Lovely traditional public house. Single storey well equipped rooms at the rear of the pub. Beds very comfortable with quality furnishings- not particularly modern but suited the character of the public house. Plenty of tea and coffee. Biscuits excellent! Room cosy and very warm. Shower room modern, very clean and well equipped with products. Breakfast offered but didn’t have so cannot comment but menu in the restaurant looked good so will try next time.

Water in the room would have been nice. Church next door chimed on the hour but ear plugs are provided.

We loved the character and setting of this pub. In a beautiful village location and the pub itself was a lovely old building. The rooms were clean, a good size and well equipped. It was nice to be separate from the main building too.

We ate at the pub in the evening; and it was a lovely meal in the main. My partner just had a slightly sub standard piece of belly pork. All other food was great. Also bigger cups on the room would be good.

Lovely room. Great breakfast. We stayed because we went to a wedding close by. And they were so lovely leaving the key in the door of our room so we didn’t have to come in the middle of the wedding day and just access the room later in the evening. Didn’t catch the lady’s name she was hosting breakfast the next day. She was so so lovely. Thank you.
