Staff were so lovely and welcoming. We checked in via the restaurant and they showed us our room. It was clean and fresh. Towels provided and shampoo/soap in the room, along with bottles of cold water. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs.

We had a family room and the third bed was pretty tiny, much better suited to a small child rather than any older. Just be good to know beforehand. Not the fault of the owners but the noise from the road was crazy. It was hot so we had to have windows open, but we were kept awake by people going home from pubs (we can only presume by the singing!!) and the traffic was really loud most of the night. Then we were woken by the Sainsbury's local having deliveries at about 6am, and trollies with goods being pulled along the road for a good length of time. Such a shame as the room was lovely.

The staff in the bar and the cleaner we spoke to were so lovely, friendly and courteous. I stupidly left my mobile phone on the table outside. The staff who cleared the chairs found this and kept it in the managers office for me. Each time we entered the bar, all the staff were eager to help and speak to you. A lovely atmosphere. The room was a decent size, our own bathroom and a fridge with milk and 2 bottles of water, Bonus!! The bed was lovely, firm and big. Also the meal in the Burger and bird was fantastic also 10% of due to staying there. Very pleased with the accommodation and we will return again.

Very small matter, the toilet seat was too small for the actual toilet. No big issue x

A lovely, clean light airy room with a view of the sea over the rooftops with a fan in the room to cool off after a hot day. Staff were helpful and friendly. Even the painter outside offered to make me a cup of tea whilst waiting for a taxi. The hotel is very conveniently situated. Sainsbury's is just across the road with a cashpoint clearly displayed. If the car has been left at home, the bus stops are very close. The coastal buses will take you either way towards Eastbourne or Brighton and all the stops in between. If on a long stay, there is a launderette just a couple of shops away that does service washes. If one of their delicious hamburger meals and lovely, light and crispy skin on chips aren't your thing, there is a Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop which serve a very decent fish and chips. There are other cafes too close to the hotel. Take your pick. It is only a four or five minute walk to the Meridian Monument and the coastline. A good place to stay to explore the wider Sussex area if you want to avoid but want easy access to the maddening summer crowds of the more popular holiday resorts. I found the local taxi services were reliable too.

Nothing I was personally unhappy with but be mindful there are no lifts and all the rooms are upstairs. However, this is clearly stated in their advertising literature.

No breakfast, but knew that beforehand. Tea n coffee available in the room as well as a fridge. We also knew there was a cafe and Sainsbury's across the road Spotlessly clean and tidy would definitely stay here again. Also The Burger and Bird Bar / Restaurant underneath was brilliant, serving delicious food and beer, very handy, again with super staff and extremely clean.

Slightly softer mattress, again the reviews said it was firm, so we were ready for it

Great location and sea view from the room was wonderful. The room was a good size and had all the amenities you will need for a short stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant is also great and does an amazing Sunday roast!

The key to the main front door was a bit stiff so really had to pull to get it out of the lock. This was okay checking in as staff were in Burger & Bird to help but if it had been an out of hours check in it would have been a bit of a worry. Very minor point though!

The room I was in was really nice,extremely clean and contained everything I needed for my 3 night stay Having the small fridge in the room was a great touch The food in the restaurant was of really high quality and again a lovely touch was the discount as stating in the rooms. My room was cleaned each day. As I travel for work ,The Greenwich Rooms has made its way to the top if my list for places to stay As a lone traveller I also felt extremely safe which is also very important to me (and the most comfortable bed!) Thank-you

Nothing just spot on

I"m walking the coast of England so need a peaceful night: that's exactly what I found. My room was under the roof with 2 windows, 1 with view on the Newhaven cliffs and Peacehaven city, the other one with seaview. Very quiet, clean and comfortable bedroom. Really enjoyed the nice big bed, shower was great with hot water and showergel/shampoo. It was a plus to have a fridge in the room, with 2 bottles of water and lots of milk. Kettle with lots of tea/coffee, sugar... Ideal location, 10mn walk from the sea. I had my picnic/dinner on the beach among the rock gullies then I enjoyed the sunset walking the mini Grand Canyon and its bubbling streams. Very nice stay.

Everything was great

Have stayed here before. But got the deluxe double this time, room was modern and airy. Got complimentary tickets to the comedy night downstairs which was great. The manager was very helpful and friendly We stayed to attend my daughters graduation in Brighton and her move to a new flat in peacehaven. Perfect for buses

Both times we have stayed there has been strong winds and rain, as you are high up and near the sea. It can affect your sleep. The tv antenna went down. Needs a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries

It was very close to Brighton itself really nice quiet location comfortable room facilities were clean. Towels, hairdryer fridge kettle came with the room along with the TV which where imperfect in nick. A really nice stay overall.

The main bed itself was a very firm mattress, which made it quite uncomfortable (as we both enjoy a softer mattress) but that was the only issue with the room

The staff were really friendly and amenable as we arrived early and they let us sit in the restaurant and finish off our working day. They were really approachable. The food we ordered in the restaurant was really nice too. The room was a good size, got all the amenities you need, really clean, nothing wrong with this stay at all. Location is great too as you can easily hop on to a bus in and out of Brighton. Would definitely stay here again.
