The room was modern and stylish, with a comfortable bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had booked the room with breakfast, but instead found a breakfast pack in a cool bag placed on the bed. While this was a nice touch, it would have been better if it had been made clear in advance that no cooked breakfast was included. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The fridge, which contained yogurt, milk, and orange juice, wasn’t working, and the bathroom fan was also out of order. We mentioned these issues to the staff, who were apologetic and planned to address the issues, but unfortunately, the repairs were scheduled for after our departure.

Lovely pub and rooms, lots of facilities and felt valued. Although there isn't an option for a cooked breakfast the 'take out' breakfast provided was a really nice touch, great quality coffee, lovely orange juice, lots of milk etc, just small nice touches that made us feel welcome. The pub staff were amazing and very friendly, a great credit to the location

Small moans, it's an old pub so we didn't expect anything different, but being above a pub you can naturally hear noise until closing time, but they thoughtfully provide ear plugs! The rooms are small, but that's because of the layout of an old building so not a moan. Overall they have made it as lovely and comfy as possible within the limited of an old building in a lovely seaside village.

Breakfast was a nice little cool-bag full of cereals and pastries, with yoghurt and milk in the room fridge. What really surprised me was seeing a cafetiere and a small pouch of lovely ground coffee to use. I didn't get to eat at the pub as the kitchen was unusually closed that night. I enjoyed a very attentive intro to the room and a nice welcome on arrival, from the manager. The room was fitted out extremely nicely, with lovely decor and furnishings. A smallish but absolutely perfect room for the size.

If driving you will have to find somewhere to park nearby, as the pub is on a narrow high street with no parking itself. I ended up parking kerbside, 7 mins walk away, on Station Road.

Warm, clean, comfy bed and friendly staff. Pub food available in the evening.

Very small room and bathroom - everything was packed in quite well but it was a little tight opening the bathroom door against the bed! Free on street parking available but check the signs - the road right outside is only free until 9am. Breakfast was in a cool bag / mini fridge - cereal, yogurt, croissants, orange juice, cafetière coffee… perfectly nice but would’ve been good to have the option to breakfast in the pub rather than the tiny room!

The property was so nice and in a great location to get around. I loved the added touch of stocking us for breakfast everyday. The pub downstairs had great food. The only problem is that if they are busy you can’t get food to take to your room. You need a reservation. Every employee was so friendly and helpful.

The only problem we had was the shower. It stopped working in the morning, but they fixed it quickly. Also the shower temperature kept fluctuating from cool to very hot.

Such a cute little place, in such a cute little place! Really olde worlde, lively little pub downstairs, really clean room and comfy bed, everything was there that I needed. Kettle, mini fridge, generous continental style breakfast already in the room, excellent selection of teas / coffees / hot chocolate. Smart TV on the wall. Was welcomed by a very friendly staff member from the pub downstairs - the rooms have a separate side entrance if you don’t want to walk through the pub, and a convenient box on the wall to check out when you leave. Very convenient for train station and Penryn Campus, so perfect for my work trip - would definitely return!

The room itself was proper dinky - I was solo, so absolutely no problem for me, but if my partner had been with me, he’s a big lad and we’d defo have struggled for space a bit. I was room 2.

A listed building, both the pub and its rooms are full of character and all different, while still providing modern comfort. The renovation and decoration were very thoughtfully done. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Given pub hours, breakfast is not provided in the traditional sense, but a good selection of packaged food is provided daily in the room.

Nights were warm with very little air circulating - the ability to separate comforter from sheet would have been helpful.

Great position in Penryn and a lovely place to stay, with 10% of food and a microbrewery (Hidden Brewery) with a range of cask ales... a beer heaven for real ale fans! The bar staff (and brewer) were super helpful, friendly, and we had a great welcome, thank you.

Parking is off site, which is about £6 / day (but it is close by). The electric shower was hard to operate, leaked a bit, and had poor water pressure. So... the egg timer for timing shower time / saving energy was a nice thought, but not achievable.

Alex the barman was great, friendly and helpful. Own mini brewery so different ales available too. Perfect location as we were attending a graduation at the Uni. Bus stops just out side, car park not far away. Answered any questions I emailed them with. Would definitely stay here again. Opposite a great chippy too.

We managed to visit during the heatwave so a fan would of been great as the sash windows don't open very wide. They don't do evening meals on a Monday or Tuesday. Not a major problem. Breakfast was ok. But just ok! Continental, would of loved a full English but understand the constraints. This would not put me off of returning.

Good location in Penryn. The room was above the pub, but accessed via an external door. Not too noisy. I ordered the small double, but it was big enough. Breakfast was a combination of juice, sealed pastries and cereal left in a small fridge in the room and a "breakfast bag" in the room. There was plenty of tea/coffee and bottled water. Staff were friendly on arrival, I did not really have much interaction with them after that.

The room was fine. I felt it was a bit expensive, but probably the best value of the accommodation in the area.
