I simply love Bute and I had an amazing staying at St. Ebba B&B. Even if I stayed just for one night It was just perfect! The Ocean view It's one of the most beautiful view in Scotland. My room was big and very clean, with modern hot shower and a confy bed. The place It's just 15 minutes walking distance from the Ferry and the center of Rothesay. ...Ten minutes walking by the Ocean that were the most beautiful part of my journey! The delicius breakfast cooked from the Patron Chef was very generous and served by lovely staff members. I wanted to stay longer, but It was full booked! So, I am looking forward to coming back soon! The location was very convenient. We were driving and while there was no space on the property, there was plenty on the street. It is about .8 of a mile into town. We walked to the local bars and restaurants with ease. The scenery is stunning. My friend had the room with a sea view on the top floor of the hotel.

This is not the hotel's fault. We wished we would have had more time to stay and enjoy the Isle of Bute.

My room on the top floor at the back was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom facilities good. The window blind ensured that I wasn't disturbed by bright sunshine when sleeping. The staff helped me upstairs with my suitcase which was very much appreciated. There was a very wide choice for breakfast which was substantial and it was served in a lovely ground floor breakfast room overlooking the sea. There was a sitting room for residents with comfortable chairs, television, windows overlooking the sea.

My room had a fairly low sloping ceiling in a part of the room where there was a chest of drawers for clothes. I kept bumping my head on it.

Our stay was exceptional. The room was absolutely perfect with a stunning view. Our host had thought of everything. Comfortable easy chairs to admire the view, a coffee table, lovely biscuits to go with the tea and coffee as well as a chocolate each. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was amazing with a fabulous old fashioned bath and lovely soft towels. Breakfast was perfectly cooked and I was provided with everything I needed for my dietary requirements. We would like to spend more time exploring Rothesay and would love to return to St. Ebba. I can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you so much for a fabulous and very comfortable stay.

The lodging is a Victorian home that has large rooms that are attractive and updated. Our room had a fine view of the bay and of boat traffic. Our breakfasts were well prepared and offered hot. The community is a Victorian vacation hub for folks who traveled from Glasgow for recreation. The city was continued to attract tourists and has provided maps and an interactive visitor center to help orient people to the history and available sites around the area. There is a absolutely fabulous 19th century neo gothic manor house, Mount Stuart, nearby that is a must see!

Excellent, very good value for money. The room was very clean and comfortable with a good view and a very good cooked breakfast in the morning. There was a guest information folder in the room with details of local cafe's, restaurants and golf courses etc with more maps and information displayed in the reception area. The town centre was just a short walk away. I would definitely return to St Ebba when visiting Rothesay. A helpful, friendly host and staff at St Ebba.

I really enjoyed my stay. The sea views were wonderful. Bute is a beautiful island and some of the best views were right from my bedroom window. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice (all delicious). The place was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with advice on places to visit etc.

The place couldn't be faulted. Everything went well. The little touches, like the travel themed wallpaper, completed the experience.

Lovely house in an amazing location with beautiful views and great staff. There were loads of extra touches in the room - e.g. coffee bags, nice shampoo etc and the breakfast was excellent.

The only thing that detracted from my stay was the very loud music I could hear in my room when I checked in at 6pm and the very loud voices I could hear in my room later coming from a garden outside that didn’t stop until around 10:30pm - not connected with the B&B at all but still not great when you would like some peace and quite.

The property is an old Victorian building with a beautiful large combined bedroom and sitting room and plenty of storage. We had a wonderful view to the sea and a delicious breakfast made to order and served elegantly. There was also a lovely common room also facing the sea. Despite the bad weather our stay was cozy and comfortable. Would strongly recommend!

Rothesay town centre is a 20 minute walk along the promenade. There is a bus stop nearby, which we used to return from our walks to other parts of Bute. The views looking across to the mainland are fantastic. I was pleased that I had booked a seaview room. We spent quite a bit of time on an evening watching the ferries go by. The room was nicely decorated as were other parts of the building. Breakfast was great with a varied selection. I'm a veggie and enjoyed my full Scottish breakfast. You do have to order on the previous evening though. For what we paid, I would consider the property to be exceptional value.

I'm nitpicking here, but the mattress wasn't the best. Also the shower took a while to warm up. No big deal.
