We very much enjoyed our two day stay. The staff are great, the food and service is also super. We did eventually, after an initial complaint got moved to one of the rooms offering a panoramic view, which was very nice.

We arrived with high expectations, as the Hotel is highly rated. Except, we soon found out that Booking.com only get offered the non panoramic rooms, (Room 5) after looking through our reservation documents, it states, "Mountain view" Now, that description actually means, a view of the A78, which is the main route through Largs and the west coast. Which means you cannot open a window, for THE NOISE. We complained to the owners, it was Friday, the hottest day of the year (27 degrees), they suggested the traffic should diminish by 22.30, which is nice! We were kindly moved on the second day to a super room (1) So, please do not think that the description of "Mountain view" means anything other than a main road.

Lovely small hotel with breathtaking views over Largs. 5 minute walk to the shore and 15 minute walk from the town centre. Amazing food and a good sized room. If you are there at the weekend be sure to book the restaurant as it gets very busy. People told us it has the best restaurant in Largs and I think this is definitely true. All the staff were lovely and friendly, how they kept going in the heat I don't know.

There were a few small maintenance issues in our room but nothing major. The room was very hot but we were there in a heat wave so not much could be done about it.

Lovely room with a great view. Room was a good size and bathroom was great. Great breakfast, very fresh and hot served on hot plates. We ate twice in the evening and it was fantastic better than some restaurants we’ve eaten at !! Alan and all his staff were great nothing was too much trouble.

A few tweaks needed but nothing major. Our bathroom door didn’t shut properly, bigger bath towels would be nice. Tv took some working and the shower was slightly temperamental . Wouldn’t stop us staying again though !

I was there with my husband David. We loved our stay at the hotel although it was far too short. We were very pleased with our room with a sea view and enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. There was a nice convivial atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly. We have stayed in Largs before so we didn't visit any beaches. We drove to the Largs Marina and along the coast to look at the views..

We arrived in the afternoon and a lovely lady with a warm greeting and informed us of the facilities in the Hotel and the town of Largs. We had dinner on the Saturday night what a fabulous meal good local produce and the steak was outstanding,we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Hotel to friends or anybody wishing to visit Largs,it would be difficult to beat this Hotel on price and quality of food .

The room was lovely and well decorated. We were given an upgrade on arrival to a family suite which was fantastic so our 1 year old could sleep in a separate room. Dinner at the restaurant was just lovely, and the staff were really welcoming. A delicious cooked breakfast was included as well which we enjoyed.

The shower temperature fluctuated quite a bit and the water pressure wasn't great. Other than that, I really can't complain!

brilliant breakfast loads of choice,views over the bay, if after being in the town you did`nt want to walk up the hill to the hotel would say jump in a taxi. The bus cost £6.20 for 2 people taxi £4 -£4.50.loads of places to eat ,train to glasgow

We stayed in room 1 which had its own small sitting room separate from the bedroom Both the sitting room and bedroom had superb views of the Clyde The bathroom was a good size and nicely done Breakfast each morning was always hot and cooked to order again with a great view of the Clyde Dinner menu was good and the food was delicious It’s a small hotel so everything was friendly and not like big hotels impersonal

Breakfast was superb. We also had a very lovely evening meal on our first night. We also had a lovely view across the Firth of Clyde to the island of Cumbrae. The walk from the hotel into the centre of Largs was around 15 minutes. This is a hotel we would definitely return to if we came back to the area.

The breakfast was fantastic, so tasty, lots of choice and fast service. Girl who served us both mornings was just lovely..very pleasant as was the lady who checked us in! View from room was fabulous! Would stay again!

I would say the room wasn't spotless but that didn't detract from our stay!
