Location and the swimming pool and sauna. Easy to park. Lovely big room area. The reception staff were absolutely lovely and friendly as were the breakfast staff team.

Room was very hot. The bed was not large double as advertised but a standard 4’6” bed. Booking.com need to address this on all of their descriptions as this has happened to us before. I am 6’2” and cannot sleep comfortably in such a small double bed. A mattress topper would have helped as well.

This was our fourth stay at the Seamill Hydro and we have already booked our fifth stay for this October 2025. We love the location and the Arran views from our preferred accommodation in the Cumbrae annex. The comfort and cleanliness of the hotel are outstanding. The both at breakfast and for evening dining in The Orangery is superb. The staff are all incredible, with particular mention to Blythe, Jimmy and Amma on reception and also to John, Rachel and Lee in the Orangery.

Very minor moans...The showers are situated very high on the wall, and although previously told that the shower heads can be pulled down, that's not possible for those of us at 5ft who can't reach up to even touch the shower head. A choice of pillow firmness might be something to consider offering. Some parts of Cumbrae due a retouch e.g. voile curtain in 126 torn on left hand side and small hole in blind. Overall though these are minor things and our stay was excellent.

Check in was smooth, loved the staff down by the pool and gym, they were super attentative and friendly. Breakfast self serve and Dinner were good. Decent sized rooms. Overall a great experience.

There were some disruptions and noise going on in one of their downstairs spaces. Room was a lovely size but the window was quite small and the rooms were stuffy at night. Loved the Gym and Pool facilities but some of the older local users made sarcastic comments when we entered the pool with one gentleman slamming his phone and drinks bottle next to mine as I was just about to use the gym equipment. Staff though were amazing! The hot breakfast options were hit and miss.

The main property is lovely & Spacious. Receptionist was very helpful.

The room I had was in the Argyll suite, rooms are of a good size but in much need of renovation. The Aura bar was ok, cider was off and was told we had to take a bottle instead, then someone else came in a got a pint of cider!!! Prosecco is severed from a measure, not good, transferring to the glass had a lot of waste, strawberry in your glass is only for wedding party!! I expect that as standard from this type of hotel. After meals we couldn’t sit in the orangery for a few drinks, but people had had finished their meals could, just a few very odd rules. Steam room wasn’t working properly. A few issues to say the least

I thought the Hotel in general was lovely, nice Views and good to have the Beach. The Restaurant in the Hotel was amazing, would definitely recommend visiting it, Prices were actually pretty good for the quality and portion sizes. Would also like to point out it was extremely busy and Service was a bit slow but I genuinely think it was due to maybe not enough Staff but Waiters we had looking after our Table were amazing and very apologetic. There was some Customers who were quite rude to them which was uncalled for as they were Working extremely hard to ensure they gave a good level of Service. Breakfast was also really good and plenty of choice. The we had was also very Clean and spacious, we also had a bit of a Sea View, my room wasn’t in the actual main hotel but was still okay. Plenty of Parking Spaces.

The Room we had was quite Dated, I just feel for the way the Hotel looks on the outside, I was expecting quite a modern Style of room.

The location was superb. Sand and sea views beautiful. Breakfast was well organised and lovely. Adequate portions. Breakfast slightly let down by technical difficulties with the coffee machines. Room was good size. Shower and bathroom facilities excellent and cleanliness superb. Bed clean, warm and extremely comfortable. Staff helpful, friendly, polite and attentive

There was only one coffee machine and one toaster available to service the breakfast bar. The room keycard was used to operate the room lighting. With only one keycard given it became a choice between both of us leaving the room or some one sitting in the dark.

Nice large rooms in the Courtyard Kilbride, I would recommend if you like a larger room. They are not in the main hotel but are just adjacent and under covered walkways. Excellent meal in the Orangery Restaurant and a very nice breakfast. Staff were very pleasant.

Mens changing room at the pool is quite small and we had to wait on people getting changed for a space. At busy time changing room could have been cleaned a little more frequently, esp with children present.

Good selection for evening meal and breakfast was excellent lots of choices for vegetarian meals. Food hot and portion sizes large. Price was great value. We were a party of friends who booked two rooms. One room in main hotel and they had upgraded to beautiful spacious sea view with enormous bath and all facilities needed including fridge plenty power socket.

The second room for three was in the courtyard which was split into two rooms with a sitting room come bedroom with pull out bed and second room with two beds together very large. Room could on comparison to other room do with an update. Fridge. Kettle. Beautiful Arran toiletries 🧴 available.

It was a pleasant stay , rooms where ok some a bit dated , bed was excellent, toilet was nice with plenty of toiletries, staff where very polite and helpful, leisure facilities where good, location was good next to the beach, parking was ideal, food was excellent a lot of variety as was breakfast,

When we where there, some renovation work was being done , started at 9-00am until 5-00pm , it didn’t really bother me but I heard some people complaining, the hotel could have informed me ,

The room was bigger than expected.We a sitting area separately with TV and desks.The restaurant was lovely and the food was really good.We only had lunch (no festive menu as the options weren't for us). Nice swimming pool also.The hotel looks really good specially for Christmas. We arrived a little early and they let us check in which was nice.Our room was a bit noisy due to other guests and they were really acommodating and gave us another room right away.

It was dissapointing that the pool last entry at 5 15 on boxing day as we couldn't enjoy it.Lunch took longer than expected as we had a long wait for our food though it was small bites.It seemed they were a bit stressed that day (not really busy at the time) Breakfast was not great, vegetarian option for cooked wad mainly potato scone and hash brown ,1 egg 3 mushrooms and 1 veggie sausage.Same for scottish breakfast it seemed poor.A lot of other choices though.Service seemed a bit slow again. Tvs in rooms could be updated.
