Breakfast,brilliant.gave us what we were looking for.my wife and I have cancer we wanted away for a day from loving g family . Just to be alone and be ourselves ,a little bit of respite....it was provided in aces. Everything was to my wife and I..perfect.

Haha.....larger telly.but had I pad.xxx We married in 1971,Never had a honeymoon Back then money was tight. We always said 1 day we will go on one.this was that day. First hotel,first night away from home,first served breakfast..except from hospital. Lovely atmosphere and staff and other lodgers...we will be back.....rank you again.

Toilet in king room rather small especially the shower but for one night we managed

Very clean, comfy beds, quality breakfast, handy location.

The only thing I could fault was there was a party being hosted downstairs on our second night, and the music was very loud in our room, as we were situated directly above it. We were notified about it upon our arrival, but perhaps next time they could have given us a heads up upon booking, as we would have found alternative accommodation. *only constructive criticism Besides that....... Lovely clean room, comfy bed, lovely fresh bedding, FANTASTIC Scottish Breakfast, central location, and friendly welcoming staff. Recommend.

Received a very pleasant welcome on arrival. The hotel has a wonderful relaxing feel about it. The room was spacious with everything you could ask for. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The en suite was nice & the shower was very easy to use. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful. The Woodhouse Hotel Grill is well worth a try in the morning, as are the fish and chips served in the evening. All the staff were a credit to themselves & the hotel. Would definitely visit again. For non drivers there are bus stops only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Didn't book a breakfast, but otherwise the staff were welcoming and helpful and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel and the ambience of a 'going concern' with the long-term proprietors operating in a well-organised and customer- friendly fashion

It was very cold in the Largs area and I could have done with a boost to the central heating on occasions, but it was up to me to raise that with staff, who I have no doubt would have proved responsive

Do not be put off by the slightly Fawlty Towers physical appearance of what has become a somewhat tired building and contents. It has an old-fashioned charm. Spotlessly clean. Really helpful owner and staff. Quiet. Good location. Breakfast: very good quality ingredients, carefully cooked, and copious is not really the word: a breakfast to set you up for 3 days not just one. REALLY good experience. Would gladly return and recommend.

This was a very pleasant small hotel/ guesthouse close to the seafront and 10 min or so walk into town , it didn’t have a sea view but has a very nice little garden with furniture for guests . My dogs and I were made very welcome by all the staff , my room was clean , fresh and comfortable and breakfast fresh cooked to order - all in all a short but sweet stay

This is a nicely presented small hotel in a great location for Largs, Cumbrae, Bute. Staff member on arrival was lovely, friendly & she checked that all was well after I'd settled in.

Any sort of soundproofing would help - my through the wall neighbour was up watching telly by 5am & unfortunately you can hear every word. On leaving, the owner was clearly disinterested in me & my stay - no goodbye or query as to my night, just a gruff retrieval of the key. Bit disappointing.

Friendliness - wonderful warm welcome. Help and advice with local travel issues. Reasonability when dealing with credit card failure. Comfortable and clean room. Good shower. Nice pub, sadly didn't get to try your meals. Location - Largs a lovely spot and easy walk from hotel to the seafront and restaurants.

Confusion over payment. I really thought booking.com had taken the charge and so we left before settling. But amicably sorted with Willie.

Older building so could hear the worker leaving in the early hours however my dogs had a little grumble so I can't complain if noone complains about the dogs grumbling, fantastic hotel would highly recommend

The only negative I could give is the pillows were well slept on however as its nearing the end of the season it is expected other than that I can't find any fault
