It is easy to access and find. Nothing nearby except a Indian restaurant opposite. There are places not far away by car. It is very quiet which I like the bed is comfy. View from my room is nice just looking at fields. The hotel has a small bar area which is ok. Does a small amount Has a little games room with a TV pool table and a fruitachine. Very friendly helpful staff. For a budget hotel we would stay again Just a heads up, breakfast is cereal and toast only. Room 14. Great size

Bit dated. Needs a little pick me up. Not a lot of room in bathroom but was manageable. For £50 ISH. We really can't complain It was only for sleeping as we was out. We could not get what we drink as bar was limited but it's ok.

We booked this hotel as a stopping point while driving down the country and it seemed a good point to be at, I’m glad we did choose this hotel as it was perfect positioning conveniently right next to the road but it was far enough away that we could t hear any traffic. There’s a fuel station and Indian restaurant on the same complex too so again very good position for them all. The lady on reception was very lovely and gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do while we were in the area and also places to eat, we did go the ‘Crocodile Zoo’ after her recommendation and it was great! There was an incident which had happened prior to us arriving where ambulance and police were involved but this didn’t hinder our stay and the hotel were very professional about it apologising for any inconveniences. The hotel was clean enough and looked after, our room was a good size with a nice big comfy bed. Bathroom toiletries and coffee making station were stocked and perfectly fine, everything worked in the bathroom and room electrics wise. The shower was a little underwhelming, no pressure and not very hot but it worked which is fine to me. The bar is open till 11pm and is very well priced for the area, there’s a games room which is open to all residents too with pool and sofas in there. We did have breakfast here too and it was nice and simple cereal, toast and pastries.

Not a lot of plug sockets in the room, there’s none at either side of the bed or underneath the TV.

The location for my needs was excellent. The room appeared to be clean and tidy, with tea and coffee facilities, TV provided. Car parking was available just outside, which was great. It would have been better if the hotel had offered an option for evening meals, rather than relying on the Indian restaurant next door or delivery services. There was a bar on-site if you wished to relax in the evening. Breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of cereals, toast, croissants, tea, coffee, and fresh orange juice. Overall, I was very impressed with the establishment and appeared to be a quiet room.

The hotel is in a great location for us to visit family. The rooms are nice and clean. I liked the it has a small bar, we are not drinkers but we do like an odd 1 or 2. Plenty of bedding all nice and clean. The information pack in the room is good. The staff we met were all lovely. Good water pressure for the shower and lovely hot water too. In general a very nice very cheap hotel.

Dated, reminds me of an American style motel with dark wood everywhere. The hot water taps are the wrong way around (on the right side) and is very hot.

Well-run hotel, with excellent communication skills at reception. Good parking space. Breakfast is included, if needed- a bonus! Comfy beds & facilities in the room. Attractive, verdant surrounds

An older building, slightly showing its age. Taps in bathroom and shower control could be improved. However, still quite acceptable, overall. A point worth noting: we were going to book again after this stay but discovered that prices were going to be 22% higher in June compared to April. As regular travellers, budgets are a concern, so we will re-consider.

Does what it says on the tin - somewhere to rest your head, with a bathroom and breakfast thrown in. Very good value for money. Room was spotless, as was bathroom. Beds were comfy. If you want the height of luxury, this is not the place for you, but for the price you get good rooms, good breakfast and welcoming and friendly staff. Third time we’ve stayed and not been disappointed yet.

One of the two ceiling lights in the room was flickering so we turned it off. It was the one just inside the door though, not the one in the middle of the room near the beds, so didn’t affect our stay or our comfort in any way.

Great value, room clean and comfortable. Perfect for a short stay. Self serve breakfast included in price.

Some instructions for how to work the shower would have been useful. Would have liked some fruit as an extra item at breakfast. Teabag and coffee supplies weren't topped up on day 2 of our stay. There was nothing to say that rooms were up a staircase on first floor with no lift. This wasn't a problem for us but may be for those with mobility issues or unable to carry bags upstairs.

Readwing Lodge is in the perfect location for me to attend what I am down for. I found all the staff to be very welcoming and helpful especially the young lady that was working on Saturday morning I required my breakfast at the weekdays times and she very quickly prepared and put the breakfast out for me and I thought how nice, helpful and accommodating she was that young lady is a fantastic ambassador for the company. My room was spotlessly clean and fresh, facing to the back of the hotel and was so peaceful and quiet. The bed was very clean, very comfortable and I had a great sleep every night. The handyman was a very helpful person and he was very willing to help me with directions.

I can honestly say that I have nothing to report in this section I haven't got anything to complain about at all.

I did have a problem with mice or rats entering my car in the car park,I left food in my car overnight.I found out that the Indian restaurant near the hotel has a problem with them.My advice is do not leave any food in your car.The hotel does try to treat /check this problem but I gather the restaurant nearby does nothing so this is a problem to be aware of ok.The mice/rats did damage my car's wiring so I have to get it repaired now so It's costing me money.

We have stayed at Redwings Lodge on several occasions and will probably visit again before too long. It is an ideal place to break the journey from the North to the South of England. Our bedroom had been recently refurbished and was very comfortable. Having access to the dining area is really helpful should one wish to heat something up in the microwave.

The accommodation is good value for money, although the increased charge for our dog to stay is a bit disappointing.
