Gorgeous pub stay! Absolutely loved our night at the New Inn - we booked after going to their sister hotel (The Stump) and thought we’d try and different area. We were lucky it was a very sunny day so we sat outside in the beautiful courtyard. We booked 3 rooms and all were huge - beds were super comfortable. Dinner in the evening was fabulous! We loved the little ‘locals bar’ inside - imagine it would be very cosy in the winter! We’ll have to book a stay in the autumn :)
On the whole, our room was beautiful but there was the odd sign of wear and tear. There were also no toiletries for the bath which was a shame as it was a lovely roll top bath (there was toiletries in the shower but fixed/screwed in so couldn’t use for the bath). Neither of these affected our stay though - just small things that meant I didn’t give it a 10.

This lovely old coaching inn has lots of atmosphere and pretty outside seating areas. It is very much a dining destination and the bar is very small so we weren’t always able to find a seat for a pre-dinner drink. Food, including a small bar menu, is superb and the breakfasts were very good and plentiful.
Our superior bedroom was a bit rough around the edges (scuffed paintwork, badly limescaled toilet seat for instance) and was quite dark. (The tree outside one of the windows needs thinning out). Basic things like coat hooks were a miss as there is limited space in the wardrobe.

Our stay at the New Inn was perfect. All the staff we met were kind, attentive and welcoming. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were heavenly, and touches like the roll top bath, Roberts radio and nespresso machine really added to our stay. The food and drink in the bar and restaurant was absolutely delicious and there were so many fantastic vegetarian options. Parking was safe and easy. Wi-Fi was speedy. We would recommend the New Inn to others in a heartbeat and would definitely go back ourselves. Thank you for an excellent stay!

The breakfast was delicious, although the coffee was cold, but it didn't matter. Dinner was amazing, with lovely staff. The restaurant was very cosy and warm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing a very beautiful village.
The room was nice(room 9)but very small and I would have expected more from a room costing £180 per night. The paintwork in the room was very chipped and looked shabby and quite a few of the light bulbs didn't work. There was no comfortable chair in the room. We found a clump of hair on the blanket on the bed and for a room described as luxurious the bathroom was very basic. The toilet seat was yellow and stained and the towel rail was covered in rust. The toilet roll holder was also broken. The shower was very nice and the toiletries were great. The towels were lovely too. We had a lovely stay, but for the money paid I was a little disappointed. I expected a bit more

Really nice place to stay, room was clean and well appointed and warm (we stayed in the middle of December). The bed was huge and comfy, decent sized TV and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom was clean and bright with both a shower and bath. The breakfast was lovely and just what we needed before a day hiking in the Cotswold, a good selection of cooked food and a lovely yogurt and granola dish which I'd recommend. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the public bar was a really nice place to relax with a pint by the real fire.
Can't really think of anything that didn't meet our expectations!

Exactly as pictured and better. Just what I was hoping for in the Cotswolds. Fields and quaint roads to walk. Easy to get to Bibury and Cirencester - our two recommendations for places to visit. Go to Bibury in the afternoon not the morning. And listen to the staff - their recommendations were spot on. The restaurant had more than pub food - amazing and delicious dinner menu and full breakfast - orange yolks in my poached eggs = the freshest eggs.
Nothing. All was better than expected. Parking off the street. Yes you will have to walk up stairs. Our room had a large sitting area with two couches.

Wonder atmosphere, comfortable room, I loved the window seat. Staff was helpful and kind. Nice to include breakfast
Would have been nice to have a couple of vegan options for breakfast, even just oatmeal

Food was excellent. Burger was the best I'd ever had and the parmesan and truffle chips were to die for. Lovely breakfast and the staff were wonderful. I must make special mention of Marie who was superb and everything you would wish for in hospitality. She was prepared to put herself out to make sure that our stay was as good as it could be....she was excellent and I cannot praise her enough.
Problem with parking at the hotel with people using the car park as a convenient place to begin their walk in the country.

The New Inn has great food and a good selection of beers. The outdoor seating is in a lovely setting and a great place to spend time in the summer. The village of Coln St Aldwyns is very pretty and there is a good walk across to Bibury.
The rooms don't have fans or air conditioning, so in hot weather the only way to cool the room down was to open the windows. However, since the rooms face on to the eating/drinking area this meant there was inevitably quite a lot of noise until midnight. We also couldn't work out how to turn off the heated towel rack which meant it was pumping more warmth into the room.

Stunning country hotel in a beautiful quiet village. All the staff are lovely ! Bed was very comfortable and the room decor matched the vibe of the hotel. Evening meal and breakfast were fantastic ! We will definitely be returning int he future
Nothing we disliked - only down side is that we stayed in room 3 and it was noisy at night with the above room. Also the toilet seats were discoloured which could do with a upgrade to go with the fresh and modern bathroom
