The fact that this is only a 3 star hotel shocked both myself and my partner. The staff were all very helpful (albeit some seemed to have left their smiles at home), one of the women who worked downstairs at breakfast (I believe her name is Michelle) is a great asset to the hotel. She is very polite, smiley, greets all the guests when she sees them coming down for breakfast and I noticed she helped the older guests when it came to getting their plates and trays to their tables. It's the little things that stand out and she was great with everything! The rooms were clean, well looked after and spacious. The AC and heating worked very well and was simple and easy to understand. If you are a food lover like me, you'll love the breakfast selection. They offer a cooked breakfast as well as continental items, fruits, yogurts and waffles! They also have a machine with orange and apple juice as well as coffees and a wide selection of teas. It was all really good and tasty and kept topped up frequently! They also have a snack menu which is 24/7 and reasonably priced. We paid slightly extra for a room with a view of the harbour and it did not disappoint at all. Beautiful views! The location of the hotel Is perfect as they have a lift that will take you straight down to the other side of the hotel which comes out on the main road by the harbour. There are two carparks within walking distance. We parked at The Harbour Carpark which is the closets and is below the premier inn carpark (easy to miss if you're unaware), there is a lift in the carpark which takes you down to the road and the Hampton is situated on the other side of the road.

Other than 1 or 2 of the members of staff behind the front desk seeming pretty miserable and not smiling at all when we approached the desk to check in and during the stay when we were at the desk talking to them, there isn't much else bad I can say about this hotel.

Food was good even for vegetarians like us. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the Hiltons. Keep it up....

I asked for a glass of warm milk, which was for my little one but was politely refused stating health and safety and company policies. I do understand but we as parents would have definately cooled the milk to the required temp as we normally do at home too. I think this was a bit too much. We were truthful and told them it was for our kid. I think next time I will ask for a glass of warm milk for me via room service....

We liked this hotel, it’s modern and well located. We especially liked the lift down to the harbour. Security is good and it has a pleasant bar, dining area. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms well appointed with excellent showers. Benefited from air conditioner during the night.

Housekeeping was an issue for us, it was rather slapdash. On several occasions we were left only one set of towels which seemed strange especially after the first time, staff seemed puzzled that there were two people in the room. Bed often unmade, carpet not vacuumed and cups and glasses left unwashed. Very sparing with supplies for hospitality tray. Too little storage space. Breakfast items not warm enough. With a little more attention to detail we would have “loved” this hotel.

Modern, clean, comfortable and good free breakfast. Friendly staff. Location excellent for sea front and town.

We parked at harbour car park which is located just behind another hotel. Better directions to the car park could be given on the website. It was as simple as, car park located behind premier inn.

Extremely friendly staff! Just want to point two of them, they were amazing! We had someone called Lizzie who clean up our room during our stay! She is absolutely amazing! BIG THANK YOU! At the reception area we had huge help from Valentin! BIG THANK YOU! This two they really need some recognition for the professionalism they doing the job. Very clean everywhere, stunning I can say. Breakfast absolutely delicious and enough food for everyone. The coffee also very very good!

No windows room on the last day made me very uncomfortable but maybe is just me. I asked a member of staff and they explained it’s a law. I checked online and there is not such a law. Anyway we should have fresh air in the room. Next time I don’t want to finish my holiday stressed because of no fresh air. Is not even healthy to not have a bit of oxygen in the room. I would recommend to the company to do something about this.

LOCATION The hotel location is excellent and close to the Harbour/shops/pubs/places of interest/tourist spots/local transport EARLY CHECK IN My wife and I arrived at the hotel early (approx 13.30) but staff were excellent in checking us in early THE ROOM The double room was spacious/comfortable with excellent facilities (including a fridge) Bathroom /toilet was excellent . The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The hotel was very relaxing/peaceful/quiet CLEANING The room was cleaned to a very high standard every day- cleaning staff were professional/helpful/friendly The rest of the hotel was very clean BREAKFAST There was an excellent choice of food/hot/cold drinks. My only complaint would be although there was scrambled eggs/boiled eggs - no fried eggs All the staff were very professional/helpful/polite- the breakfast area was very clean HOTEL STAFF Every member of the hotel staff we met were very professional/helpful/friendly/polite FIRE ALARM On the Thursday 31/7/2025 morning a fire alarm went off but all the hotel staff dealt with this incident in a very calm/professional manner

1) In the double room we had it was very spacious but there was only 1 small chest of drawers - it would have been better if there was an additional 1 to provide 1 at each side of the bed 2) NO FRIED EGGS for breakfast (although there were scrambled eggs/boiled eggs) 3)Although there was plenty of tea/coffee/milk - NO BISCUITS !

The room was perfect as I chose and paid extra for this room, I booked the queen room with harbour view,all facilities were very good in the room the location of the hotel was perfect.

The staff are not overly friendly or accommodating compared to all the hotels I stay at, there is usually a warm welcome and smiles and laughs, I didn't feel that at all here . Just polite and doing their job if u know wat I mean. The breakfast is ok , the fruit selection could be a bit better and the eggs need a new recipe. It was very grainy. Fried eggs would be a great option. Wish you could get a choice of pillows also. Didn't like the pillows. 2 soft.

Very good breakfast. Love the fact that it was a buffet as I am not a fan of everything on a full English so it was nice to pick things that I liked. Was plenty of choice for drinks, and also breakfast items. I am really fussy with sasauge but i must admit it was nice! Bacon was also lovely. Good quality butter too! Brilliant view. Nice lobby area. Lovely shower. Overall very clean. Pet friendly. Our room was lovely and was secluded from other rooms (room 424). Air conditioning in our room.

Even thoigh we have air conditioning in our room, the hotel itself was very hot. Only 1 chair provided in our family room. Sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable but then again no sofa beds are overly comfy. Would make a huge difference if the hotel had parking. Would be nice to have fried egg instead of scrambled.

Lovely clean comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. Buffet breakfast was so tasty with a nice selection of cooked and continental food. Lots of seating area available throughout the dining, bar and reception area. 24 hour food available We went 3 weeks before Christmas and the hotel was decorated beautifully with lots of trees and lights. There is a nice little play area at the reception for toddlers. The hotel had a lovely feel to it and the lifts worked great. Beds were comfortable. Room had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Slightly more expensive than other hotels in torquay but definitely worth it.

Hotel reception staff were miserable. Women who checked us in didn't smile once and uttered about 2 words. Evening bar staff also not very friendly. One of the cleaning ladies was nice and helpful and breakfast staff were chatty. This would have been a 10 out of 10 experience if not for a few members of staff letting the side down.

Everything minutes from the harbour great location . Parking two minutes away cost £10.50 for 24 hours. Beautiful contemporary hotel. Air con a huge bonus as cant open windows . Breakfast plentiful would return in a heartbeat People moaning about staff need to get a grip. They were friendly enough, sadly one girl ( non english) gave me wrong info about aircon which meant at 4 am we were melting as theres a button we werent aware of . Great value .plus a fridge which was a bonus.

No instruction for aircon . £50 charge for a dog 😳 even for one night ! Homeless druggies sitting by back entrance offputting as they were there day and night so we avoided coming in hotel that way. Need moving on .
