The fact that this is only a 3 star hotel shocked both myself and my partner. The staff were all very helpful (albeit some seemed to have left their smiles at home), one of the women who worked downstairs at breakfast (I believe her name is Michelle) is a great asset to the hotel. She is very polite, smiley, greets all the guests when she sees them coming down for breakfast and I noticed she helped the older guests when it came to getting their plates and trays to their tables. It's the little things that stand out and she was great with everything! The rooms were clean, well looked after and spacious. The AC and heating worked very well and was simple and easy to understand. If you are a food lover like me, you'll love the breakfast selection. They offer a cooked breakfast as well as continental items, fruits, yogurts and waffles! They also have a machine with orange and apple juice as well as coffees and a wide selection of teas. It was all really good and tasty and kept topped up frequently! They also have a snack menu which is 24/7 and reasonably priced. We paid slightly extra for a room with a view of the harbour and it did not disappoint at all. Beautiful views! The location of the hotel Is perfect as they have a lift that will take you straight down to the other side of the hotel which comes out on the main road by the harbour. There are two carparks within walking distance. We parked at The Harbour Carpark which is the closets and is below the premier inn carpark (easy to miss if you're unaware), there is a lift in the carpark which takes you down to the road and the Hampton is situated on the other side of the road.

Other than 1 or 2 of the members of staff behind the front desk seeming pretty miserable and not smiling at all when we approached the desk to check in and during the stay when we were at the desk talking to them, there isn't much else bad I can say about this hotel.

Food was good even for vegetarians like us. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the Hiltons. Keep it up....

I asked for a glass of warm milk, which was for my little one but was politely refused stating health and safety and company policies. I do understand but we as parents would have definately cooled the milk to the required temp as we normally do at home too. I think this was a bit too much. We were truthful and told them it was for our kid. I think next time I will ask for a glass of warm milk for me via room service....

Modern, clean, comfortable and good free breakfast. Friendly staff. Location excellent for sea front and town.

We parked at harbour car park which is located just behind another hotel. Better directions to the car park could be given on the website. It was as simple as, car park located behind premier inn.

Lovely clean comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. Buffet breakfast was so tasty with a nice selection of cooked and continental food. Lots of seating area available throughout the dining, bar and reception area. 24 hour food available We went 3 weeks before Christmas and the hotel was decorated beautifully with lots of trees and lights. There is a nice little play area at the reception for toddlers. The hotel had a lovely feel to it and the lifts worked great. Beds were comfortable. Room had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Slightly more expensive than other hotels in torquay but definitely worth it.

Hotel reception staff were miserable. Women who checked us in didn't smile once and uttered about 2 words. Evening bar staff also not very friendly. One of the cleaning ladies was nice and helpful and breakfast staff were chatty. This would have been a 10 out of 10 experience if not for a few members of staff letting the side down.

Taken money for the stay twice out of my account so that’s nearly £300 rang up to Try and sort it, member of staff blamed it on the bank holiday now I’m down £136

Very good modern hotel conveniently located just above harbour with pub car park close by. Room was large and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

As with most modern hotels cannot open window for fresh air, thermostat didn't seem to change anything significant in room temperature but that could be as much to my not understanding how it worked. If we'd been staying more than one night I would have asked staff for instructions. The biggest issue for me was the light that came from the thermostat control - was a bit disturbing during the night. Needed to be able to dim or switch it off. Again might have been resolved with instructions from the staff.

Excellent breakfast, and evening meal - good choice on the menu. Room very up-to-date, comfortable bed, bedroom and en-suite bathroom all perfectly clean. Handy for the harbour area and the shops, just a pity that the roads around the harbour were all being dug up during our stay, meaning we had to make long detours around the back streets of Torquay to get anywhere. Staff particularly helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The only difficulty we experienced was that the road directly in front of the hotel had double yellow lines all the way along, meaning that unloading and loading luggage at the beginning and end of our stay had to be done in a hurry. There is parking in a council car park very close by, but it's up a steep hill.

Short access to shops and bay area. Staff all very helpful. Bed king sized and comfortable. Breakfast good, with good choice. Staff even found fresh Lemon slices for my hot water! Checkout automated and easy.

Dropping off luggage was on double yellow lines and parking quite a steep walk away. Fortunately council had an offer on parking while we were there, so cheaper than it would have been. First morning entailed a 7am get up to sort parking fees after a long journey. Staff were very helpful though. Pastries at breakfast quickly disappeared and were not replenished, even though we ate at 9am.

location great - there's a lift on the street to go into the reception area so you don't have to walk up the hill to the main entrance. I would recommend you go onto Torbay council website and get a parking pass for your stay as its so much cheaper. The hotel does not have a car park however there is a council car park just round the corner (walking distance). Very modern inside and very comfortable. The breakfast is like most - help yourself but its all freshly cooked. If you arrive early (which we do to take advantage of that day) the staff will keep your luggage until its time to check in.

Nothing - Better weather but thats only in the hands of God 🤣🤣🤣 There was only one little ick for me ..... there was no where to hang your jackets. It rained for a couple of days when we went and it was frustrating when our coats were wet. Also our room was by the cleaners and when we wanted a lay in they were quite noisy but they were having a laugh. - better than arguing lol

Lift from hotel to harbour level was useful and secure, needing room card to access from outside. Breakfast was very good although better choice of fruit would have been nice. We were having a short break for our anniversary and returning to our room on the day found housekeeping had seen anniversary cards in the room and left pair of towel swans with rose petals on the bed - a very thoughtul and much appreciated gesture.

As is normal with many larger hotels, bedroom windows didn't open at all, so room became stuffy and, as an asthmatic, I find the air conditioning drys the atmosphere.
