We had a wonderful time staying at Ashleigh House in Torquay. From the moment we arrived, Jan and Steve made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth and hospitality truly made the difference. The entire house was immaculate, full of character, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Each morning, breakfast was a delight: freshly prepared, delicious, and served with care. Jan and Steve also provided fantastic local tips that helped us discover hidden gems and enjoy the best of the area. The location is ideal; peaceful yet close to the town center and the coastline. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you, Jan and Steve, for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

So clean and comfortable, providing everything you would need for a stay in the area. Started with a warm welcome from the owners and continued from there! Bedrooms may not be over spacious but excellent use has been made of every inch of space! Personally, it was wonderful to see hot chocolate sachets included in the teas/coffee to make, even a box of tissues supplied - you often do not get this sort of service in 5* hotels 🤪 Breakfasts were incredible and cooked to order, nothing is too much trouble for our hosts.

Not a lot! Parking is a bit of a lottery looking for spaces in the road or nearby roads, but we managed ok and were very grateful for the parking permits we were given.

Hosts were incredibly friendly, nothing was too much bother. Property was immaculate and the room we stayed in had everything we needed. The mini fridge with fresh milk and the coffee / tea / hot chocolate / bottles of water were replenished daily. Breakfast was amazing, fresh full English every morning. Loads and loads to choose from if that isn’t your cup of tea.

I didn’t like that we couldn’t have stayed longer. Me the mrs my boy and the baby loved our stay.

Beautiful traditional home, exceptionally clean! Very comfortable for a family of three generation. Location was a short walk to the marina. The hosts were super friendly, the breakfast was gorgeous with many available options. They were so kind to my little girl and even gave her a small gift when we left! It was the perfect place to rest for two nights after a 7 day road trip around Cornwall. When we return to Torquay, we will definitely be booking here again.

Nothing - it was exceptional

I can’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. From the time we arrived to the time we left Jan & Steve were very attentive. They’re a very caring couple and this radiates throughout, always checking if we were okay and if we needed anything. The breakfast was outstanding and catered for every need. The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped & spotlessly clean and so were all the communal areas. Jan & Steve clearly work very hard to maintain their business in every way. We arrived with our dog Woody, who was warmly welcomed with a dog blanket, bowls & a treat in our room. He even got a sausage for his breakfast and a little pressie as it was his birthday. I’ve stayed in lots of b&b’s and can honestly say this exceeds them all. Top marks all round. Thanks for having us. We will be back soon xx

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ashleigh House. Jan and Steve were welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is absolutely lovely - spotlessly clean and comfortable; our room was freshly decorated, spacious and airy, and breakfast every morning was delicious. I really can't speak highly enough of the hotel and sincerely hope we will be able to visit again soon.

We liked everything about staying at Ashleigh House. Very comfortable bed and newly decorated. Fantastic breakfast. We took our dog which is what we liked, there was a towel for if it was raining to wipe her down and umbrellas you can borrow. We had stayed there 2 years ago, a month before Jan and Steve took it over. Jan and Steve are very friendly and informative.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the family room with my husband, 19 & 12 year old kids. Great B&B! Hosts were very welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious and had a sink in. Private toilet and shower room were located down the corridor. Tea/coffee/milk and bottled water were provided on the room. Would stay again.

Jan and Steve were lovely hosts and had time to listen and chat to you. Room was clean and tidy with everything you needed for your stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked by Steve and there was a very good choice. Use of lounge to sit and read and there was games if you wished to use them. Perfect location for the harbour which was a 5 minute walk away. Parking on street just above property free but outside a permit is required which they will provide. Tea and coffee facitilies in room but there was also facilities in the dining room as well. I you are hesitating as to whether to book - dont be hesitant. Book it and you will not be disappointed.
