Lots to love about this hotel. Location is a 10 min walk from the harbour. Free parking. Very comfortable bed. Very clean room and the towels smelt lovely. There is a bar downstairs if desired. We had a sea view from our room which was bonus. This hotel is budget friendly. There is a fridge in the room and tea and coffee making facilities (BYO tea/coffee/milk). Staff were friendly. Communication was very good about what to expect. We had contactless check in as we arrived late. Loved the tap that looked like a seagull head.

Not an issue for us but posting here for others. There is no lift at this location. If you have mobility issues, ask for a downstairs room.

It rained when we arrived so there is a good American themed restaurant just down the road which does great ribs and steaks. We then went bowling almost opposite. Hotel is well located for the marina and shops.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Just about 5 mins walk to the harbour where you can choose from a number of lovely restaurants for your evening meal and quite in the evenings due to it being off the main road. Yes there is a slight hill but we are in our 60's and managed it fine and why come to Devon if thats an issue? Our room was nice and large and plenty of storage space, with a see view in the distance. Breakfast was made as you waited with a good selection. Its a family run hotel in a lovely old building, so don't expect a lift or furnishings to be of corporate standard but you are not paying the price you would have too then. We where warned before arrival that due to raising costs we had to bring our own tea/cofee and milk, not an issue and it was nicely explained why. Parking can be an issue in Devon locations and its a bonus that the hotel offers that free of charge. Yes in areas the decor could do with a little updating but have to execpt thats a cost which would be hard to take in these time and would properly put costs up.

Mid 30’s couple Lovely hotel, friendly staff who just let you keep yourself to yourself but were there when you needed them. Room was clean, had everything you need (Kettle, mini fridge, iron and ironing board.) Breakfast was massive and delicious. On the last day we realised and shared a full English and a scrambled egg and was more than enough. As well as tea coffee, cereal, crumpets, pancakes well worth the money. We stayed with our dog he loved it and there is also a little park at the end of the road where they can do their business which was handy! Afternoon entertainment was great I went down to the bar by myself why my partner had a nap was great! Well impressed

Not that I didn’t like it more of a tip for other guests. There is a bit of a small incline walking up from the harbour and gets a bit steeper as you turn into the road the hotel is on. Also the shower pressure drops at peak times I assumed that others were showering at the same time, but when the pressure was back it was a great shower.

The owner was very nice and helpfull phoned me to say my room was ready . The room was a good size and clean . The bathroom was a clean also . My room had a fridge which is a good bonus and view of the sea which was nice to see in the morning . The hotel also had a good size car park just for guests . Downstairs the hotel had a bar which served a good selection of drinks and played live music early afternoon/evening ( but did not hear any from my room ) . The location was excellent only a few minutes walk to the harbour & town little longer walking back as its up hill lol .

Room spotless and adequate for my needs. 5 minutes walk to town centre, marina and pubs/restaurants, also 10-15 minutes approx walk to Torre Abbey Sands and Corbyn Beaches. Lovely and friendly owner/manager who was come to you at reception through pressing of a buzzer on the counter. Seemed committed to hygiene as she also took care of housekeeping and provided hand sanitizer which she asked guests to use before pressing the buzzer.

No tea or coffee, milk and sugar in rooms but available to buy from reception. This is due to rising costs and to avoid need to raise room prices.

We stayed in a superior double, which had a huge comfortable bed, good sized room, with a superb layered view down into the harbour. Very close to town. Accepts visitors with dogs, there is a park at the bottom of Museum Rd, which is super for dogs. We arrived quite late from a long drive down from Liverpool; Steve was very welcoming and gave super clear instructions and information, Breakie at £10 extra each for one morning was more than adequate. Despite live music and music being played in the basement bar each night we heard nothing from our room. Lovely quiet stay. Thank you.

Great location just down the bank into Torquay harbour. Hotel was fab and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay - including a bar downstairs with a pool table, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Hotel offered free parking and I felt reassured that my car was left in a safe place during my stay. I had an issue with booking.com sending me emails in error - the host was reassuring with me and gave me a great room upon arrival. Will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends! Thank you!

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable generous supply of tea coffee and milk in room lovely and warm all around the hotel the radiators were hot needed as really cold out staff really friendly paid extra £10 each for breakfast good choice cereals yoghurt orange/apple juice nice coffee and a full english not far from town centre and harbour great for visiting the princess theatre plenty of restaurants really close by Indian Thai Chinese Greek etc all within walking distance plenty of parking on hotel grounds

Hotel was dated but for an overnight stay not a problem and we were on the third floor with no lift not good if you have any mobility issues I think you would need to ask for a ground or first floor also being halfway up the hill from the town bit of a steep climb back also not a problem but perhaps need to be aware

Great location , nice clean and comfortable.

A lot of stairs to climb as we were at the top of the building. Furniture could do with updating.
