Lovely big room with balcony. Comfy bed. Good location, parking was very close & included in price. Friendly, helpful hosts. Breakfast was good (extra charge) Free wifi-though I was using my laptop for work but it kept dropping out. Good view from balcony, we watched part of air show from there! Everything is on doorstep, 5 min walk into town. Good value for money. Room was cleaned daily & to a very good standard.

Rooms are in need of updating & bathroom very small. Bedroom door defo needs replacing, it looks like a door on a building site! Balcony could do with a makeover & needs to be swept each day, didn't seem to be cleaned. Free bottle of water on arrival in room, we stayed for 4 nights & this wasn't replenished. Very much needed as should have available fresh drinking water in room. A map of local area would be helpful. Better Internet connection as my WiFi on laptop kept dropping out. This would make me reconsider staying as I need access to this for work.

Very clean hotel. We stayed in room 4 as we wanted a balcony. You can see the sea from here. Great room. Very big. Very clean, towels changed and cleaned. Breakfast was fantastic. Ganesh is lovely and let us check in early too as we parked up and the room was ready. He really works really hard and you can see this through great service. Nice to have a mini fridge in the room. Comfy bed. Ganesh, although wasn’t based on reception made us feel very welcome and he gave us a card with contact details in case we needed anything. The bar wasn’t open but he said if we wanted anything he would open it up and serve us. Not sure about the review I read about it looking derelict. Lovely seating area on the front of the hotel, fresh flowers upon entry and far from derelict. Loved it and will be coming back

Everything was great. The only thing I would recommend is bigger towels.

Great value for money! Ganesh met us as we arrived at the rear of the property, which offered free parking ( space a little tight but we managed), and he then checked us in swiftly. The room was clean and comfortable. A bar is available for pre dinner drinks but as we arrived late in the evening we didn't have time to pop in this time. Tea coffee and water in the room ensured we could relax with a drink before heading out for dinner. A good night's sleep followed. The bed is very comfortable. The shower worked well, with toiletries available in the bathroom. We didn't book breakfast as we were heading down to the harbour to enjoy the views in the sunshine whilst we had morning coffee. We will definitely book again when coming to Torquay.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was very spacious and the mini fridge was an added bonus. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast was perfectly cooked with a large variety of continental options too. There is pay and display parking out the front and parking at the back of the property. We chose to use the Harbour Car Park which is a short walk away, this is free with a parking permit which is given to you in arrival, the permit can also be used in Torbay Council run car parks. The hole in the wall was a lovely traditional pub serving good pub food and drinks. We would also recommend Pier Point for stunning fish and chips, this is situated next to the Princess Theatre. The owners of the hotel were really welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a perfect one.

Absolutely nothing it was perfect !

The hotel is located within a stone's throw of Torquay harbour. Ganesh (the manager) runs a good business, and is helpful, friendly and welcoming. Hudson's is well-maintained and clean. It's not a swish, modern hotel, but we found it comfortable, indeed we slept very well indeed. Although it's on a main road into town, we didn't find noise a problem. There's a couple of very good restaurants nearby. We liked this hotel a great deal!

Water pressure in the shower was very low (at least, it was in our room - the balcony room). The path down from the car park to reception is rather steep and uneven. However, Ganesh was helpful and carried our bags down.

From the moment of checkin and being grated by the owner who could not do enough for you. The rooms are really modern with everything you need, spotless and clean, really comfortable bed. Tea and coffee replenished daily lovely to come back from day out and chill in room with coffee. Other guests staying there to we had no disturbance at all from any of them no bang of doors, no loud voice no load tvs everyone respectful of other guests. The breakfast is lovely and cooked fresh, and there is a great selection to help you fuel up for the day.

There was nothing we didn't like. They is no faults at all.

Excellent! Lovely owners they go out of their way for you. Very good breakfast, comfortable bed, location perfect for everything, boat trips busses, shops,restaurants etc. Stayed in double room with balcony/seaview a sun trap on the balcony which is very nice. We would recommend and not hesitate too come back 100%. Thank you for your great hospitality. 😁

Everything was truly lovely we enjoyed our stay.

The staff in this hotel are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, they are attentive and look after you during your stay. The hotel manager gave us his mobile in case we needed anything at all day or night. Just wonderful people and always there should you need them. 10/10. The beds are so comfortable, amazing and the breakfast was brilliant with tasty local ingredients. 10/10.

We had the balcony room which was huge and very comfortable, great view but the palm tree does block it a little, but you could still see the marina. So it was fine.

The manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful even offering to help carry our luggage upstairs to our room. He even gave us an upgrade to our room for free. The room was very spacious with two comfy chairs by the window, plus balcony. All was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom looked like it had been recently decorated, it was spotless. We liked the room and location so much we stayed another night.

The only drawback for us was the limited amount of parking at the rear of the hotel,could have been a problem if you arrived late. Also there are some steep steps down into the hotel from the car park.
