For a start, this is our 5th consecutive time of staying here. The room is of modern decor as previous stays, and the room has superb views of the sea and the torquay harbour area. Watersedge is superbly situated, the sea is literally across the rd and entrance. You are only a couple of minutes walk away from the start of the seafront and harbour pubs and restaurents. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We consider the price to be well worth all of the above. And we have already rebooked for 2026.

Water's edge - Spacious parking incl. I noted that quite a few front facing rooms must have had a great sea view though I had a rear room on ground floor - fab price. A garden area to sit in & watch the sea. The road is in between the property & sea but easy enough to cross and enjoy a walk along the pavement. Everything was clean & had everything required incl complimentary toiletries, coffee & tea. Close enough to amenities. I knew before I booked that there was no breakfast provided, so all good. No extra frills but Ideal for an overnight stay for me so I didn't visit the beach. Thank you

location is incredible. The owner noticed we had booked a twin but only because it was the last one left and asked if we would prefer a double. She gave us the most amazing room at the top with stunning views. What a lovely place and it didn’t smell of boiling cabbage and overcooked egg because they haven’t got the kitchen running.

People see a two star and they think it’s about quality, it’s not, stars are based on facilities and services provided. Often a 2 star will outperform anything else because they aren’t stretched thin on staff manning the skanky pool or the sad, wilted salad bar that no one asked for. This place is perfect: the rooms are brand new and stunning, the location unbeatable, and you’re surrounded by places to get great food so don’t worry!

This hotel was the cleanest I have been to in a very long time the staff were very pleasant on arrival if you are looking at staying in Torquay you could not go wrong by staying at this place was a facilities are more than adequate based on the price the clendingness is exceptional and it's location is very good as well as it's a fairly level walk into town not up and down all the hills for anybody wishing to stay in Torquay one of the best I have stayed at

This property was very good if there were any notes to make it more memorable probably to offer a breakfast but that is the only thing

The room was clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was a nice size and modern. The actual hotel was modern and clean and in a great location; just minutes from the train station and not too far from the town centre.

The only negative aspect of my stay was the lack of any food options, which meant I had to go into town for food. I would have preferred to have given my money to the hotel and of course not left the hotel just to find food,

The rooms are so nicely and newly decorated and extremely clean. Spacious enough and some of them have great view on the sea. The location is perfect, you can just sit in the front garden and admire the sea. Also very close to the train station.

Just in one room water pressure wasn't great but in the other one it was perfect! So really, everything was almost perfect.

Perfect in every possible way as always, I have lost count of the amount of times we have stayed at the Waters edge perfect location, very clean and comfortable. Lovely front garden with seating in the spring/ summertime. The hotel is situated on the sea front, easy to walk to Paignton or into the heart of Torquay. Book up you won't be disappointed 🙂

Although basic, it was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The hotel was within walking distance from the railway station.

Despite a lovely dining area, there was no breakfast available. I learned through other reviews guests brought food back to the hotel.

Great location, manager was very helpful and nice to see it being refurbished. It is on a busy road but has access to the bus stop very close by if you don’t wish to drive. The bed was comfortable, I slept very well

It would be nice if some form of food was served even if it was just breakfast. The lounge,“dining area”’has a lovely outlook and I feel is wasted.
