It’s location staff very good Drink to expensive even for a hotel

We had a lively room the only trouble you could hear next door and the door fire door probably constantly banging every time some one went through banging 307

Great location just steps from the beach. Lovely sun terrace. The room was bright clean and spacious with very comfortable bed. Full English breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Booked a table in the restaurant well in advance, waited 10 minutes to be seated even though it wasn’t busy. Food was not as described and was pretty poor. Spoke to the waitress who said she would pass our feed back on to the chef. We spoke to the hotel manager the following day upon check, he dealt with our complaint swiftly and professionally. Would definitely return to the hotel but would not eat in the restaurant again.

The hotel was nice and the staff were all very good. Really liked the bar area. We had a lovely view from our double room. The room was big enough, the bathroom was dated but clean and functional. The room was serviced all 3 days of our stay. The breakfast was good but I would recommend adding it when booking as it wasn't that good that you would pay over £18 on the day.

We had two evening meals in the hotel, one which was the Valentines meal. It was OK but not as good as I would have expected. We had to wait quite a while for the Valentines main course, I had the beef, it was awful and mainly inedible, it was meant to have a stuffed mushroom but didn't and the plate was 3/4 filled with mash. In addition whilst the music is enjoyable in the bar area it is really annoying in the dining room both for breakfast and dinner. There was a wedding function with a disco, which was fine but the music was also left playing in the dining room, it wasn't a nice atmospere. All the staff were helpful and pleasant, some very young but they did a good job, I think the Hotel would benefit from someone overseeing events.

Pools being open to the public.. They took most of the sun beds the time we were there, which caused friction.. Sadly saw bullying by non residents towards hotel residents for sun beds.. Management called, but clearly let non residents stay on site. Not good!!!..

Breakfast provided a wide choice. Management was excellent and alternatives available. Dinner offered two menus and was reasonably priced for a hotel. The Brasserie offered drinks and a small menu. Drinks were expensive. The staff were attentive and worked hard to ensure guests comfort.

The design of the bathroom was not conducive with anyone with a mobility issue. The lavatory in our room was right next to the door, with no handholds. The toilet roll holder was almost behind you.The non slip spots on the floor in the bath should have covered all the floor of the bath not just the ends.

Very friendly staff, lovely clean hotel, lovely lunches & dinners. Really close to main harbour and amenities and very relaxing atmosphere. I had a manicure by Scott, really chatty and informative of what he was doing.

Staff need to be a bit more attentive at dinner. We ate there 3 nights (paying) and all 3 nights there were guests waiting a long time for their meals. We had a 30-40 min wait between starter and mains on our 2nd night and had to make the waitress aware. The manager discounted our bill after apologising. At the bar during the day, there is only 1 member of staff. They do alot of coffees so in-between serving they are taking coffees to guests sat at their tables. This affects the service level. On mothering Saturday it was manic and there was a constant queue at the bar. On occasions other staff would be around but just chat and not assist the bar person.

The room had a great view and was as requested. The outside terrace was lovely as was the pool area.The indoor pool also nice. Most staff were helpful, a few didn't seem bothered.

Some things we asked for at reception were not taken the time to give us. The lunch we had (with friend) was disappointing Firstly, no menu was available to take away to look at, then when we ordered some items/ dishes chosen were unavailable, so just had a plate of veg- which was very small, and our friend had nothing. The one meal we had was mediocre at best; the meat being quite fatty and tough and all very dry. The carpets in the room were a stained/dirty in places and slippers could've been provided. More sockets were needed in our room (only one):and a fridge would've helped keep drinks cool.

Lovely sea view and comfortable spacious room. Requested ironing facilities which were delivered quickly. Reception staff were friendly.

We asked for a taxi and were told to use a button on reception and make a note of the ref number. We waited ten minutes and returned to reception as taxi had not arrived. There were a number of taxis on the rank opposite but it was raining and dressed up. Receptionist tried to imply I had taken the ref down wrong which didn’t really matter as taxi didn’t even arrive. Eventually I hailed a cab in the street. Coming home the restaurant booked a cab for us, driver said his company had just lost the contract at the hotel after 45 years!!! They’d had no issues in all those years. Why change? I suggest you change back.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. From the time you walk through the door to the time you leave you are welcomed with a smile. Nothing is to much trouble. We always stay here and never have a problem.

I like my room and the breakfasts.

I disliked the indoor swimming pool and the changing rooms in there. They were poorly and very old fashioned. You should spend some money and update it.
