Absolutely Amazing Staff,very accommodating and professional food was outstanding we were there for a wedding and it was fantastic from start to finish,my only issue was our room was so hot and quite small, we left early due to myself having a bad back so I was very uncomfortable and couldn't pace the room and bed was too hard however that's not a bad point for the hotel I was just in a lot of discomfort we will definitely come back and maybe choose a bigger room but we loved being made to feel so welcome well done livermead Hotel

Perfect 3 night stay at this delightful property dating back to 1820 and featuring a gorgeous 1937 lift. Charming, traditional interior & spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and the ambience was lovely. Breakfast was perfect and whilst we didn’t dine in it was lovely to walk past the restaurant and see a pianist playing to diners. Not the fault of the property - the boy racers on the coastal road outside are noisy at night. However we bought ear plugs which helped!

Very good location, comfortable beds, clean rooms, helpful staff, plenty of parking, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

A bit outdated, very hot rooms as there is no air conditioners in there. Our car got scratched in the car park during our stay, but there’s no cctv cameras to find out who did it.

Our nice room had a great sea view, despite busy traffic on the seafront road. The hotel is quiet, spacious; we felt comfortable and relaxed. The dining room is spacious. Dinner was expensive, but it was excellent food, nicely served by friendly efficient staff in formal dress. Breakfast is a wide selection of cereals and fruit. It was a great start to our day, cooked breakfast and coffee, looking out over the seafront.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Hotel was certainly comfortable and clean, and it has an excellent location, convenient to Tor Abbey, the sea front, and the town, while at the same time being quiet and having spacious grounds.

The decor is impressive and fairly grand, but also somewhat dated, as are the fittings. It all seems well enough maintained, it is comfortable, and has the charm of an earlier era : so the styling is not modern, but it remains a very pleasant place to stay.

Breakfast was good, as was the evening meal. Liked the sea views. Because it was an older building it had bags of character. Liked the roomy lounges. Plenty of parking available.

The room was very hot at night which made sleeping difficult.

Right on the sea front, staff were super nice and helpful. Traditional Breakfast choices were really great with tablecloths, napkins and silver! Strong WiFi. Rooms were dated but very clean. Liked the old lift. Stepping back in time.

Brilliant location just across the road from the sea. Great food freshly prepared breakfast cooked to order. Lovely pool and relaxing gardens.

Could do with a touch of decoration overdue a renovation. Brighter decoration for inside the Hotel.

Receptionist was superb,so incredibly helpful ,she exemplified how staff should care....A credit to the hotel,well done .....

Room was quite small for a large double that I booked but never mind .....

I booked this for my elderly parents and son as a birthday present and my mum LOVED the stay! She particularly loved the charm of the staff having carnations in their buttonholes. Thank you for upgrading them to a sea view as well.
