We recieved a warm welcome and place has a lovely country cottage vibe with a lovely comfortable lounge area for guests and open fire. Our room was lovely. We had booked a cottage, but due to unforseen circumstances we were put in a family room in the B&B instead, we were offered cereal & toast breakfast FOC. The location is ideal for nearby park & ride into York, or you can use the local bus to get into York or go to Scarborough. Ideal place to stay if you wanting to visit a wider area of East Yorkshire. There is a Toby Carvery nearby for a nice meal too.

The spiral staircase is challenging for tall people. The bed was more firm than I am used to.

Liked how secure it was, the coziness of it with the fire was lovely. Loved how the single bed was in with the double, felt safer with our little one being a toddler. She slept the full night (which she doesn’t at home)😂 loved how it was decorated for Christmas and the comfort of the one bedroom cottage.

Got a little cold in the morning, just with the fire going off in the night (which can’t be helped).

The host was friendly and accommodating. The location was good with the bus stop close by. No issues with parking, and we were able to park there after checkout which was helpful

The spiral staircase is pretty and was shown in the booking information but it is not for everyone, it can be tricky to navigate with luggage

We weren’t told over the phone that there would be scaffolding in front of the building so allowing us to park at our own risk which was annoying. There was a check in time we were running late we updated the owner this was due to traffic. Well she still hadn’t put Tea,coffee, milk or sugar in the cottage . Plus we’re dying for a cuppa after driving 7 hrs to get there.

this is a cosy cottage type property as part of a b&b complex. 2bed Cottage comes with a stove which can n the cold weather is very welcome and cosy. the owner gave lots of fuel. the cottage is basic but clean, tidy and had a relaxed feel. the location is not bad given the price, an easy bus ride takes you into the centre of York. the local pub offers a warming drink or meal.

There’s a few what feel like weirdly script rules on how to leave the cottage, but I sort of get it. The major issue is noise, as the 2bed is adjacent to another property, the walls are thin and we had a couple of lads staying there who partied all night outside. But to be honest, we always get on with stuff so not so bad.

Friendly hosts. Good location in quiet village. Stayed in one of the cottages so self catering, had everything we needed. Very comfy bed, had great nights sleep. Close to York and other attractions. A trip to Breezy Knees Gardens nearby is recommended.

Rooms r big and beds are comfortable there a pub 100 metres up the road if want to eat our go for a pint or 2.we stayed in 2 the bedroom cottage and was only 7 mile from our work place so was ideal for us and will be going back next wk and for a few wks after that .in our opion it is great value for money

The host, the cosiness of the cottage, the log fire, the fairy lights in the bedroom, the stable door and Bobby the dog!

Couldn't work the electric cooker and couldn't find the instructions The bathroom was freezing There was no grater for my cheese Not enough plugs in the kitchen

There was a sound of banging continuous throughout the night. It sounded like the gate next door swinging continuously. No shower gel in bathroom.

Really comfy,good location to drive into work, would definitely recommend 99% clean little bit of tlc would have no problem staying there again ,😎
