Loved the overall look of the room, lots of lovely details that a lot of thought, time and effort has gone into it. Good location, nice and quiet and a good walking distance to shops and city centre. I found the bed to be really comfortable.

I tried to have a shower but it was simply too hot for my liking and no matter how much I tried to adjust the temperature it didn't go any cooler. I ended up washing my hair under the tap in the kitchen sink. Also, the basin in the bathroom is quite small and has a huge tap in comparison, this made it quite difficult to use it for anything other than washing my hands. It wasn't a major inconvenience but it would be nice if there was a small wardrobe or space with a few clothes hangers to hang clothing instead of keeping them in your luggage.

very noisy radiator in room, bangs and high pitched squeaks, messaged and told the people who manage property, I have since noticed this has been mentioned before in reviews, had to turn off during the night as couldn't sleep and really could do with full length mirror, also been mentioned before! Only enough hot water for one shower! Also noticed other reviews mentioned this. Worth pointing out, you can park directly outside building for 24hrs, I'm surprised owners don't know this? Approx 10 spaces and can download ringo app and add time on! took us a bit of time to work out where the apartment was, with the codes, lift and walking along corridors, quite far into the building!

The room was beautiful and true to the Harry Potter theme my partner and I loved it. Really short walk to the shambles and all the main attractions. Read a lot of reviews about the shower but for us it was always hot and we had no problems. There was everything you needed in the apartment- soap, shampoo & conditioner, towels, tea towel, sponge, dishwashing soap..etc. The guestbook was really cool too. There was also a Harry Potter dvd in the dvd player but we couldn’t figure out how to use it with the tv. Definitely would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Was a bit of a faff trying to find the gate to get in- the codes were easy enough but finding the entrance was tricky on arrival. The internet was also unreliable.

Location was excellent for accessing York's attractions. It was very quiet in the room and building. The entry instructions and diagrams were spot on. Staff were very helpful when we called to find out where the cupboard, coat hangars and hairdryer was.

There was washing up liquid and a dish towel but no dish cloth or cleaning sponge/brush, so had to use hands. The TV embedded in the fireplace had a CD player with a Fire Effect CD but the CD player was not an option when we selected the source using the remote controls, Thought the batteries were low on the remotes as they were intermittent but they seemed to work better when you pointed them directly at the small hole at the bottom of the TV just above the fake logs. Used the shower after my wife, around 5pm and it very quickly went tepid for me even though it was on full hot. Was okay the next day so guess the hot water might have been limited.

Such a magical place, so much to look at in the details and something different. I love Harry Potter and my partner is a dnd fan, so I wanted somewhere quirky for our Valentine’s Day stay. The bed was so magical, lying under the stars. I would definitely recommend this beautiful little apartment.

Probably the access to the building, it was abit of nightmare to find the way into the building as we arrived quite late on the first night and getting across all those bridges from our car park. Then trying to gain access to the building, it was easy once we figured it out but would have liked some parking a little closer and it wasn’t too far into town but if you struggle to walk might not be the closest place. Also wish the bathroom was a little more themed, more storage space for clothes and maybe better/full length mirror to get ready in. This didn’t take away from the magic of our stay though.

It's a great room with beautiful features, we've been twice now. Great location.

Unfortunately this time the heating panel was so loud tinking all the time, it wasn't warming up at 15,we had to turn it right up and put up with the noise so we could switch it off to sleep.. Also the dimmer switch has been knocked by someone previous to our stay and they flicker off by themselves. Just small jobs that need sorting, won't stop me booking again!

Loved the location and the history of the building. The decor was amazing, even though we have never watched or read Harry Potter (shock horror!) it was done to a very high standard. A lot of thought has gone into the decor It was very clean and very quiet and located in a secure building. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the city and the supermarkets

Absolutely loved the room. The theme was amazing. The kitchen and bathroom were lovely. Bed was so comfy. We had a beautiful hamper left for us which was such a special touch and greatly appreciated. I parked right outside the apartment block in the Rowntree Wharf car park which cost £15 for 24 hours. Much cheaper and so much closer (literally right outside) than the other car parks which were reccomended so that was an added bonus!

Everything was amazing. Only slight comment would be that when watching the TV (we were going to watch the HP dvds) it is really difficult to hear and quite muffled sound as its behind the fire place but there isnt much time to be watching TV after exploring York all day anyway but that would be the only thing!!

Great location, beautifully appointed and comfortable apartment. So much attention to detail . York’s very own little gem for all of the lucky visiting muggles. Great idea, brilliantly executed!

The dvd player was out of action during our stay (which meant the lifelike flames for the fireplace weren’t available) and the tv reception is a little sketchy. Neither of these are major issues and I am sure the owners will easily resolve these glitches.

From the second we stepped into the door I just didn't want to leave, the decor was beautiful I have actually asked my partner to build me a bed with stars in it. Was a lovely place. I love Harry potter so was definitely in my element, comfortable bed too, perfect distance from the town centre too.

We couldn't get the heating to work even with the instructions the radiator just didn't get hot.
