This is a great find in an excellent location right in the city centre. I asked for additional bedding as I was here with my son and he had the sofa - this was all waiting for us. The apartment is over 2 floors which was fine for us - we liked the spiral staircase and was really spacious. Having 2 toilets was a plus. Having free parking was great too and although the space we should have had was taken, the owner responded immediately to my text and we sorted an alternative space with no problem. It’s only a few mins walk from the apartment. The only downside was that the bed does needs a new mattress - I could feel the springs. We would definitely recommend this apartment and want to come back ourselves!

The location is excellent, set back from the main shopping areas means you can nip out quickly for some last minute things, I was expecting some noise at night however going midweek meant it was fairly quiet, the separate sleeping areas worked well for us as a family with two young children and having a full kitchen meant mealtimes we're less stressful not having to eat out every night. the parking is away from the property but only a 7 minute walk and fairly flat so no problem for us. The owners were quick and concise to answer daft questions about the access arrangements for example.The property is wheelchair/pram friendly, with ramps and a lift inside.

The mattress was very soft on the main bed but ok for a couple of nights. The sofa bed has obviously had a lot of use! (possibly needs new foam inserts) but as the kids were sleeping on this, it wasnt such a problem for us this time, It would be nice to have a telly in the main bedroom for when the kids go to bed at 8pm we would still like to have the option to watch our own programs. The oven and extractor are quite noisy and the frying pan provided was anything but nonstick.

Hosts were lovely and the parking was really convenient for York. The apartment had everything you could think of including a toilet on each level which was useful

There is 1 picture of the stairs but no mention of them anywhere else I didn't quite click on what they were in the listing photo, so they were a shock to us! A little rickety and scary to go up and down as they are wood so slippy, but as long as you had shoes or bare feet and didn't attempt them in socks it was all ok (and the good outweighed the stairs by far!)

Location was spot on, and I couldn't be in a better position amongst everything you need. The Shambles was only a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment was much bigger than we expected, facilities were perfect for us. Communication and instructions were excellent. This is the best place to stay to pack in as much as you want for a short stay in York.

The stairs were very narrow and a little bit shakey going up and down inside the apartment, so they may not be suitable for certain people. The car park space was exactly as advised, several minute walk, which was a little inconvenient due to carrying bags from the car but is what it is. Also where the car was parked, the spaces are a little tight so when we came back to park after visiting the Air Museum, there was a large car parked next to our allocated space which did make it difficult to park as they parked over the lines but there is nothing anyone can do to prevent this, just worth noting if you have a big car.

Location was great! Hardly any noise at night and super easy to pop in throughout the day if toilet was needed etc. Parking wasn't on site but about 5 mins walk away. Bruks the Cafe was on the street outside and perfect for breakfast.

Two minor issues, personal preference you could say - Shower was only warm not hot enough but good pressure, could do with a re-seal as abit grimy on edges. The mattress is past its best, the springs 'pop' when you turn over so didn't sleep the best.

We loved the cleanliness.. the apartment was fantastic.. just what we needed.. the spiral staircase was unusual but we really loved the uniqueness of it.. Had really good response times from the owners regarding enquiries.. And location.. wow.. And parking felt really safe. Couldn't really ask for better for our stay. Thankyou very very much... Sean x

The location was very central - very easy to get to anywhere. The folder inside the apartment offered lots of suggestions for restaurants, so that was very helpful. Very thorough instructions was given to me for picking up the keys etc and Luke was particularly helpful when I asked for bedding for the sofa bed.

Several things: - the bedroom was not very sound proof, there were some people on the other side talking very loudly in the middle of the night which came through very clearly. - I think it could be a little more cleaner, there was some wad up tissues next to the bedside table which was missed.. - I didn't locate the hairdryer, but I didn't look very hard, so I might've missed it

Great place. The staff on WhatsApp were super friendly and helpful. Very cozy and homely feel. Can't really fault it

2 tiny niggles. The fire alarm in the kitchen was beeping, guessing due to batteries. And it took a good while for hot water for the shower. The hot water does have a note daying to use in the evening which is absolutely fair

Lovely decor, very clean and had everything you needed. Located in a perfect location to sight see. The hosts were lovely, replied quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend

The spiral staircase was very narrow and disorientating to walk up and down. My mother had difficulty with this. The free parking was a bonus! But with luggage was further than anticipated to walk.

Perfect location to explore York. Exactly in the centre. Great that it has a full kitchen with everything you could need. Heating worked brilliantly and great that it could be controlled room by room. Loads of helpful information and really responsive hosts. Parking was a real gem especially in the centre of York and is only a 5 minute stroll.

The stairs are very narrow, but it’s York so understandable.
